This movie really isn't bad. The score is good. Characters have reasonable depth, The animation is well done. The voice actors (yes, that includes Tom's) do a great job. Hell, compared to the mediocre shows people rally around these days *cough* MLP *cough* this is down right godly.

I still think they should have done at least one sequel with them living in the new house, Figg trying to get revenge, Robyn's father helping them get rid of her.

Bring Pugsy and Frankie back, have a load of new characters and for a twist, you could have Lickboot now helping Tom Jerry and Robyn because when the fire started, you could tell he actually started to worry more about Robyn's safety than the money.

Honestly, what bothers me the most about this movie is all the hate it gets. Okay, sure. Tom and Jerry talk and are friends when they really shouldn't be, there's not a lot of slapstick, the music isn't Broadway musical caliber, yada yada yada.

But come on!! >:( Even this movie is better than recent animated film knockoffs, like Ratatoing and the animated Titanic movie!

As a side note, this was Henry Mancini's last assignment as a film composer.

The song "Friends to the End" was an unused song from a show from the 1960s.

Aside from the result of the final film, the music was very good.

Considering that I worked on this film, let me say that while everyone involved has some issues about the direction it took, they all did a professional job. And as far as I am concerned, I have nothing to be ashamed of for having worked on it. This was a great learning, professional growing experience, and the quality of animation was actually better than it needed to be. So there are some good things about it, and much can be learned about what to do and not to do.
