Also, some of the "horrible" transitions you pointed out were used, skillfully, in the original trilogy, such as the side-wipe-fade and the diamond fade, as well as the basic dissolve. Some of these are very similar to these so i didn't get as pissed about them, but Blinds and Squares? Come on now, Mr. Lucas, you have more money than that
Okay, so he has an opinion about the movie: that its crap and not worth watching. However, he does give it the proper credit(the sfx were amazing for its year and it does fill in a few of the plotholes) but he also critisizes this movie where it deserves. Like from 4:30-5:00 there are two epically horrible transitions, the blinds fade and the multi-square fade, that made me seriously scream "Oh, come on, did they edit this in Windows Movie Maker?" I mean, i LOVED the original trilogy, but this?
I am having bad luck today. I wanted to give your comment a thumbs up and accidentally hit thumbs down. Then i tried to thumb down a comment praising this stupid movie and I accidentally hit thumbs up. George's ghost must be watching me.
whats wrong with transitions? otherwise it would just blink between them, and ud never know wtf was going on...it also helps with Scene selection so u know where the scenes end and begin.
You know, I've been watching Star Wars for I don't know how long, but I can honestly say the transitions have never bothered or phased me. After a time I get so absorbed into the films that I barely realize they occur. And so what if he used transitions? I'd preffer that to just cutting from scene to scene in a film. I give lots of credit to George, he made over 50 BILLION off of Star Wars. Long live the Saga!
Sh*t dude? W8 am I supposed to call u dude? I think f*cking gay is much better! F u!!! This is one of the best movies there is!!! U F*cking moron!! As one comment says "u must hav a sad life to make a vid to moan about transitions.... " I think he's right! So why dont u kill urself now or suck your own d*ck fuckass gay!!!!!
OK.. I stopped watching this because I couldn't stand the stupid noises you added in EVERY TIME a transition took place. It was annoying. And give Lucas respect. He's done a lot more with his life than you have.
The transitions are intentionally "corny," if you will. Lucas was trying to match the "Saturday Matinee Fantasies" of the 1930s and they used stylized transition types like these. And he used the same transition types in the 1977-1983 trilogy, too, so I don't see why they are particularly "bad" in the 2005 movie. If they're bad once, they must be bad all the time, right? I think your logic is off-base if you think they're bad in Episode III, but OK in all other episodes.
You're an idiot. Have you not seen the transitions that were added to the Star Wars Trilogy: Special Edition, most of them were the same. If you say that this one sucked, then you have to say that ALL the other ones sucked aswell. I make incredibly stupid videos that can seem sad to some people. But the 7 minutes 51 seconds of this should have never been made you lame-ass.
cut all the text at the beginning and the dumbshit sound effects.
this movie is terrible though.

the author appears to be one of the loud minority. I watch the movie to be entertained, not to critique George Lucas's work, I liked the movie.

what is the name of the wipe at 2:19?
I'm a sixth grader and I think it would be cool to use in my school project about my curious hamster gary.

True, alot of things suck about the movies.
But it's the entire star wars universe that we are in love with! Not silly transitions and corny dialogue

All Star Wars movies have those transitions. In fact is a homage to Kurosawa´s samurai movies and old serials like Flash Gordon.

I'm glad someone feels the same way I do! This movie looks like it was edited in Windows Movie Maker.
