A lot of people seem to not like Dekker as John but I think he is great for the role, and shows a pretty good transition between the John Connors of T2 and T3.
Summer Glau is perfect for Cameron too as she can keep her facial expression completely blank whenever she wants (which is harder to than it sounds) and can pull off a really great curious child face too. Her other bonus is that she is hot, but sort of... effortlessly hot, at odds with the T-X from T3.
Thomas Dekker is a great actor. And he was good as John Connor. What I dont like is how they cancelled TSCC when it was getting really good. BRING IT BACK!!
Interesting enough, I like how his voice sounds like a younger Christian Bale (aka older John) I mean with the gruff and the small ebb of having been shaken by all he's seen. I agree, they couldn't have picked a better actor for the role :)

I recall reading someone's comment on a certain website accusing Summer Glau of betraying TSCC by appearing on Dollhouse which she didn't. Glau had already accepted a minor role in Dollhouse LONG BEFORE the cancellation of TSCC. Had both shows been renewed, she would've continued her lead role on TSCC while guest starring on Dollhouse at the same time. She's already expressed her sadness over TSCC being cancelled.
That wouldnt make sense for her to turn against the show that put her name out there.Yeah she had fire fly but I never heard of her till TSCC came out.I was thinking she got on to doll house so people wont forget about her.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if they were at least able to do a "tie up loose strings and figure out exactly what is up with human cameron and the dog in the last show!" movie ala Serenity. Summer Glau is awesome, but she's also the only reason I ever watched this show. In my opinion, the show wasn't anywhere near as great as the first two "Terminator" films.
Well, FOX's upcoming lineup IS terrible; the only show worth watching on that network is House. Of course, they have such treasures as Fringe and The Cleveland Show (jesus christ....) but basically they just offer garbage.
We'll see about the DVDs....an actual series is the only way it will be back, it's not like someone is going to make a movie of this when there are already four terminator movies, of which the last two differ significantly from the show.
Ratings. Although there were a lot of viewers, many were recording to watch later which apparently doesn't count for official ratings. Consider the audience was young people out on Fridays but planning on watching the show later. Poor scheduling on FOXs part along with inability to find the show by viewers.

I agree but it was the idiots directing TSCC that got it axed. The whole season of "3 dots" bullshit was boring and did nothing at all for the series. 80% crappy season then the last 20% of the season 2 was epic because they knew they were gonna get axed if they didn't. They gambled to milk the series and they lost and we suffer now.
May be Fox has sound commercial reasons for cancelling shows. May be the management is a bunch of tossers. Anything is possible. SAAB was one of the many great shows they cancelled. Then Firefly. Now this. I can see them axing Dollhouse soon. Though anything is possible but I am pretty sure they are a bunch of tossers.

The thing that gets me is that every television network knows that Friday night is the worst for good ratings. There is still hope. ScyFy has expressed interest in picking it up, however are concerned that the decreased budget would degrade the quality of the show. WB isn't even shopping it around which is sad.
TSCC had a few issues, but it was gorgeous to look at the FX were better than the movies ever had. I thought Lena Headey did great as Sarah, she made her her own character not a knock off of Linda H. Thomas D. was also able to create a realistic JC was torn between the life he wanted to live and the one he knew he was obligated to.
at least the show continued the fact that John was supposed to be the leader of the resistance and Summer G was perfect!
ah well, cheer up about the other news... Dollhouse is continuing... with Summer! Whoopee!
I will miss TSCC pretty badly. the open end, the huge potential (the new season would have had less Sarah Connor! YAY! No offence to Lena Headey, but SC annoyed the heck out of me. Especially the multi-episode 'frail mental condition' arc.)... why would someone kill a terminator show when all the terminator buzz is in the air (T4, with its total lack of story, is still going to pull somewhat of a crowd!)?

He also said Dollhouse was chosen over TSCC because it was cheaper and in my opinion, cancelling TSCC in favour of Dollhouse was completely pointless seeing as Dollhouse also ended up getting cancelled a few months later.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if they were at least able to do a "tie up loose strings and figure out exactly what is up with human cameron and the dog in the last show!" movie ala Serenity. I really appreciated the opportunity to be able to have that wrap up. Maybe Fox will realize that viewers really do count and could they do a tv or dvd movie and let us see how our beloved characters turn out!!!! Please!!!

Well, FOX's upcoming lineup IS terrible; the only show worth watching on that network is House. Of course, they have such treasures as Fringe and The Cleveland Show (jesus christ....) but basically they just offer garbage.
We'll see about the DVDs....an actual series is the only way it will be back, it's not like someone is going to make a movie of this when there are already four terminator movies, of which the last two differ significantly from the show.

Ratings. Although there were a lot of viewers, many were recording to watch later which apparently doesn't count for official ratings. Consider the audience was young people out on Fridays but planning on watching the show later. Poor scheduling on FOXs part along with inability to find the show by viewers.
IT's on DVD though. :)

I agree but it was the idiots directing TSCC that got it axed. The whole season of "3 dots" bullshit was boring and did nothing at all for the series. 80% crappy season then the last 20% of the season 2 was epic because they knew they were gonna get axed if they didn't. They gambled to milk the series and they lost and we suffer now.

May be Fox has sound commercial reasons for cancelling shows. May be the management is a bunch of tossers. Anything is possible. SAAB was one of the many great shows they cancelled. Then Firefly. Now this. I can see them axing Dollhouse soon. Though anything is possible but I am pretty sure they are a bunch of tossers.

I was just reading about that. Unfortunately they already tore the set down and that is millions of millions of dollars right there. The thing that gets me is that every television network knows that Friday night is the worst for good ratings. I wouldn't be surprised if it a few years down the road that we find out that they never had aspirations for a third season.

TSCC had a few issues, but it was gorgeous to look at the FX were better than the movies ever had. I thought Lena Headey did great as Sarah, she made her her own character not a knock off of Linda H. Thomas D. was also able to create a realistic JC was torn between the life he wanted to live and the one he knew he was obligated to.
at least the show continued the fact that John was supposed to be the leader of the resistance and Summer G was perfect!

I will miss TSCC pretty badly. the open end, the huge potential (the new season would have had less Sarah Connor! YAY! No offence to Lena Headey, but SC annoyed the heck out of me. Especially the multi-episode 'frail mental condition' arc.)... why would someone kill a terminator show when all the terminator buzz is in the air (T4, with its total lack of story, is still going to pull somewhat of a crowd!)?
