  • what a great job mate, like the access door under the top deck.

  • Beautiful! I was just hoping to find out how to flash I'm not a pro lol

  • 1 deck for the price of 2. Plus the footings are inadequate. stringers for the risers would have been just as effective for one third of cost.

  • Were is the water going to go with that black plastic under the decking?

  • stringers on the steps would have been faster and better and still strong without all that excess wood.

  • Is this Cromwell Street in Gloucester by any chance?

  • the framing was way to extreem, i know its solid as a rock, but it will still rot faster, i would have used all 2x10 or 2x12, zero bounce, also i didn't like the footing, you should have builder tubes 6" above grade and 4 feet below depends on where you are, other than that great job

  • yea, thers a shitload of cross bracing on the bearers, probably differnt building codes and restricitons to us in New Zealand though. Great finish though and the steps are a novel design, and they work too!

  • no need for all that framing on the steps is that not a bit extreme
