  • Austin Powers...

  • I am feeling this song yrs of the divorce life is no joke finding true love is hard to find a man that will treat a woman the same way she treats him.

  • wow lots of similarities in looks with her and Whitney, especially to see Dionne so young.

  • @dmrega Actually, they were cousins.

  • This record won a Grammy...saw D at the Whitney service on TV today...RIP

  • As the Davis family sits down for a nice Mother's Day meal, Marburg makes an appearance.

  • This wasa smooth, relaxing version of burt's music at a time in my life when all was so good and my life in sunny california was (I thought) never ending.

  • NOW THIS IS AWESOME GOOD BLACK MUSIC!!!!

  • Bacharach, David and Warwick were a magical combination.

  • the good thing is the word PERVERT hasn't changed over the years....YET....

  • 9 people never fell in love again... </3

  • @Friesians77 I BELIEVE IN LOVE

  • Oh her voice makes all my worries disappear!

  • Love this immensely, but Karen carpenter's version is still the best, I think.

  • perfect combo Bacharach and Warkwick

  • What do you get when you fall in love?

You only get lies and pain and sorrow.

So far at least until tomorrow

I'll never fall in love again.

No, no, I'll never fall in love again!

  • And I thought it will be Ewok Wicket Warwick from Star Wars, Return of the Jedi

  • Struggente!

  • I can listen to this, and music like this, over and over...to keep the good feeling going.....it takes me to a quiet peaceful place full of love, warmth, harmony and wonderful human beings.

  • I've enjoyed her songs since I was a child

  • Beautiful song..

  • Great song. I like how she's cheerful l and hopeful and funny and bouncy while the theme is lost love.

  • Sing it Dionne---Betty

  • Love never works because it's a perfect thing between imperfect beings.

  • Never will I falL in love again.............and I never really will say goodbeye.........

NEVER! it's too hard to say goodbeye..I am changed and I will never change back to who I was....please know this. thank you for everything........

  • how true about love

  • du velour

  • Whitney Houston looks a lot like Dionne in her younger days.

  • It's kinda funny that four words in the English language have somehow gotten new meanings during the past 100 years. Gay used to mean the same as happy, queer was basically the same as weird, fag was a cigarette & faggot was a bundle of sticks.

  • @theonlymoo5e : Yeah, it's sad how hate can twist and warp words into other meanings.

Gay still means gay. Men who dig men like the word gay, because they are, on average, happier than straight men. It's a fact.

How do I know? Somebody told me...:)

  • @theonlymoo5e Seems like a nice recipe for a party from the gay old days!

  • @theonlymoo5e well said, my friend

  • Why is it that people have to indulge in psychobabble and read rubbish into titles & lyrics? "Bursting a bubble" is a common english expression that has nothing whatsoever to do with anything sexual. It means to ruin a dream.

  • i love the bacharach/warwick songs of the 60s.

  • blonnogg@hotmail.com

Wikipedia says Bacharach wrote this song in 1968, but I could swear I remember seeing some girl sing this on Shindig or Hullabaloo in early 1965. Is it possible the song was written in '65, premiered, and flopped, and then Bacharach resurrected it three years later when he was putting 'Promises, Promises" together? Anyone out there know?

  • I said those things because i saw her on Celebriti Apprentice and how she was towards the other people on there. She is an amazing singer but not a nice person. Calm downnnnnn

  • 70's........The best time to songs than ever.Greetings from Brazil.

  • @luisbg63 Eu amo Brasil (especialmente Rio de Janeiro :) ) Com tudo do meu coracao :)

  • For me, THIS is the ONLY version of the song that matters. Sheer delight...

  • w/ respect, please, this song is about a woman who was deflowered by his bf (burst your bubbles) and was dumped afterwards.

  • @maxbatch70 Eloquently put... but not quite.

  • I don't even have to read many of these comments to get the gist of how ignorant people are. Firstly, LISTEN TO THE SONG, melodically, harmonically, lyrically, to the story, etc. I know most of the moronic won't even know what I'm talking about - your loss. This is what you would call brilliant songwriting and musicianship. No computers, no synths, real people composing and performing. It's a perfect example of great production as well. Compare it to any popular recorded music today. Pure gold.

  • @brnardo6 Well said!

  • Amazing singer, maggot of a person though.

  • @blungazz What makes you say that? This isn't an attack, or anything-I'm really just curious. That's a serious comment-I hope you can back it up.

  • @blungazz Freedom of speech has it's limits you have crossed the line. I suspect that you are an uninformed person regarding her life story. You should be very careful of the things you say about people they may come back to bite you

  • Who said I must wait until I am in heaven to hear an angel.

  • This was great listening...Dionne and Burt OMG....I remember being a teenager and loving this music....It was Classy all the way...and we wanted to be Classy.

  • i'm 14 and I enjoy these kinda songs more:)

  • Yeah, real 60s class.........melody, arrangement and emotion were the key perspectives of that era.....even in the most obscure garage bands. That's why so much has endured and will be rediscovered....And it reflected a more optimistic, magical time.

  • !Qué sencilla y hermosa canción! Preciosa voz!

  • This is the music of the sixties......It wasn't all Brian Wilson,Lennon/McCartney...

  • bachrach / david were among the most influential songwriters of our generation to have ever come out of the old brill building in nyc.

  • Love this song, but I cant stand this bitch dionne since celebrity apprentice.

  • @Chani14922 It seems to be the little things in life that annoy you - - - Gobshite

  • @derekomeara It seems like you can figure out a person through one sentence. Now can you predict my future?

  • 1970. Denbigh High School.

  • I just love her voice....it is so peaceful. When i hear her it reminds me of a beautiful spring day...just relaxing and carefree.

  • @READY4REVELATION Hello,,,,funny how certain things (music) makes different people feel such similar emotions. Yes, her voice and these songs are so relaxing, and carefree....a beautiful, hopeful, and peaceful spring day.

  • This is the definitive version this great song. The original. The Dionne Warwick sublime masterpiece....!

  • i.... eneern fallmin love again!!!!!!!!

  • I'm a macho man and love this song.I think it's too sentimental for a man who tend to be less sentimental than a woman.women always have tender feelings than us.

  • One of the greatest female singers of the 20th century.

  • Gorgeous!....Dionne sounds great here.

  • Bellissima canzone!!!!!!

  • My dad used to play this song when we drove to my grandma's house as a kid, towards Beverly Hills. I'll never forget it.

  • beautiful voice, <3

  • She may be an old bitch on Celeb Apprentice but she's a damn good singer /interpreter and that surpasses her diva behavior any day!

  • I know that's Gay, but I think I'm love.

Never felt this way before, what the hell is happening to meeeeee!!!!!??????

  • @DuxBeta It's not "gay" unless you're a homosexual--like some of the people who come here to listen to this song. WTF is wrong with your generation that has to call everything "gay" that you think is "stupid" or "wrong"?

  • @nauort23 Would you believe it's an attempt to destroy the English language and communicate with gibberish!

  • Comment removed

  • @nauort23

You guys are dumbasses, this song isn't gay at all!!! Though it is fine for gays too!

  • @JeffreyMW1 Uhhhhh.. That was my point. Thanks for reitterating it so ineloquently. Who's the dumbass?

  • @nauort23 thank you, someone for saying it!!

  • 2 people are fuckin wacko

  • "Whitney, NOOOO."

  • check out deacon blues 90 cover..... soulfull stuff

  • Music used to be so much better!!!

    Wonderful song, wonderful voice!!!

  • Voz maravillosa, desde la primera vez que la escuché me convertí en fan absoluta de esta mujer. Since de first time that heard Dionne Warwick´s voice I am a fan of this wonderful woman, wonderful voice, just like an angel !!!!!!!! SALUDOS Y GRACIAS POR LA CANCION !!!!!!!

  • Bacharach was as much identified with the 60's as ANY pop or rock music of the time...and in some ways maybe more sentimental.

  • I listened to this countless times with my grandparents. Happy times.

  • Austin Powers!

  • Great song for Valentine's Day! And folks, lemme tell ya, the sentiment is the same if you're gay!

  • Smooth

  • Burt Bacharach was a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad ass song writer!!!!

  • ....and perhaps a nasty bout with mononucleosis

  • BOO!!!

Kissing is one of the most wonderful things in life!!!

  • Perfect song for a wedding party ;) ...Beautiful!

  • Ah, memories! Thanks for the post!

  • She is awesome...saw her at the Hollywood bowl once upon a time

  • The words in German are rather similar to the English lyrics...

  • This is a part of America I grew up in but has disappeared. So long innocence.

  • Happy Birthday Dionne

  • Happy Birthday Dionne

  • Bach, Beethoven, Bacharach? Why not?

  • I read a book on Bacharach and David, those guys really busted their asses writing these songs not to mention trying to sell them. The said the worst was when they finally got an audience with Connie Francis who back then was about the biggest singer going, and they played a demo for her made on acetate record, and she heard about 3 seconds then ripped the record off the player and threw it across the room. LOL Can you imagine? But they succeeded because they didn't internalize shit like that.

  • The essence of 60s class. As light as a feather, as smooth as silk, as sophisticated as ... Bachrach and David transmuted by one of the greatest female vocalists of the century.

  • im 13 years old and I like this music.........

just kidding. Im actually going to be 25 in december.

  • @cralosfuentes I'm 41 and I like this music ;)

  • @cralosfuentes :-) Good! If you were 13, you'd leave comments on here like "how can people listen to this. Anyone who doesn't think J.B. is the best singer ever is retarded".

  • Witless Houston could not hold a candle to this lady

  • One of the greatest singers and songs of all time....thanx for sharing

  • Sweet`

  • One of her all time best and my favorite . Memories of being 9 years old LOL! Love it, love Dionne!!!

  • @4346153 you're right! Seems like the melody dances with the lyrics together!

  • This song reminds me of growing up in San Jose, California. I remember hearing this song on the radio all the time as a little kid- In fact, I think my mom still has the LP this song appeared on.

  • Amazing how much she looks and sounds like Whitney Houston in her early years.

  • is this the original one? or the tom jones please tell me

  • i love it (this song)

  • great voice good tune thats all

  • she sings so effortlessly and that makes her song(s) more enjoyable....

  • As wonderful, fresh, and delightful as the first time I heard it many years ago, when it was new.

  • This song reminds me of the King of the Hill episode where Bobby was caught smoking and Hank and Peggy started smoking again and they played this song when they were reminiscing on old times hahaha what a trip that was

  • Thanks for posting Mondibaby, This is singing like it ought to be.

  • you're right Dionne

  • Of all the versions, her conversational delivery makes it sound like heartfelt advice ...not like she's trying perform....

  • @jimmychipper, "her conversational delivery makes it sound like heartfelt advice", couldn't have said it better. So much better than what's called music by today's standards, at least in my opinion.

  • @jimmychipper i completely agree with you, jimmychipper.

  • Oh yes. This is great music. I love this song.

  • Are you a bass?

  • Beautiful song, well performed by one of the great pop singers ever. Warwick/Bacharach/David was one of those rare "made in heaven" combos. Hadn't heard this in many years, sounds better with time. Her voice was special, full of subtle nuances and exquisitely controlled emotion.

  • Holy fuck this song is so good.

  • gatta love the lyric to this song...for some reason it always put a smile on my face when i hear it play :)

  • Love it!

  • back when AM radio was king, i never tired of listening to this song...

  • What do you get when you kiss a guy?

You get enough germs to catch pneumonia.

After you do, he'll never phone ya. lolzz so true

  • Dionne's 1970 version of the song from the 1968/69 musical "Promises, Promises".

  • THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL SONG...I ALWAYS LIKE IT

  • If Billboard's "double-sided policy" continued, I'm sure the flip, What The World Needs Now, would have been a classic; it received plenty of airplay back then as well.

  • this song is timeless, so keep playing it

  • Un talentoso compositor mas una gran cantante dan lugar a una cancion inolvidable.

  • Explicit recollection of the wondrous year of 1969.. thanks a multitude for uploading it.

  • the great Dionne Warwick............timeless

  • When my girlfriend left me, I came across this music. I ... hmmm, ya know ...

  • After all these years........still superb! Thank you Dionne

  • Love the words in this song~so true!

  • A great cover by one of the greatest and i love the song!

  • @tricklett this is the original i believe

  • @TenorPlayer1800 Bert evidently debuted it in 1969, and Dionne re released it in 1970, his version is slower and frankly Dionne's is just plane better!
