I think that the older woman who brings up 'what about older people?' has a very valid point.
Why aren't young women connecting with the older generation to learn these skills? Yes, the internet may be more easily accessible, but there is something so rich and meaningful about learning from an elder.
And you're right - etsy is a hard go. thanks for sharing this vid!
Thanks for your thoughtful comments. I think that the issue was that it is widely accepted that the older generation works with the handmade, and also the aesthetic is different. I've sold my product at craft fairs not marketed to a younger generation and nobody buys my stuff. I also don't think that this film necessarily indicates that that meaningful connection isn't happening. I absolutely agree about that experience being meaningful.
So much so that I'm doing a project about making things with hands that encourages people to learn from their elders, their relatives, people they resect.

I Etsy DarkRoseBud. I have only old one item, so I took everything down, but I have been gathering items for a re-open. ;)

I just made a video about my craft area and made a tag 'she's craft and she's just my type' and it brought me here!
I started knitting and crocheting over three years ago^___^
I love the Beastie Boys.

@KaS10592 if you put "Beastie Boys" in your search query, my video shouldn't even show up and you should have better luck.

You should talk to scrtsolstice (Amy) about etsy. She buys stuff off of there and reviews it for one of her vlog series.
