I stayed here in Oct 2007 and survived !! An amazing (death trap) of a place. on my 1st night I stayed here and couldn't believe that I was in HK. Good video. I also have a video.

Love this place. So much going on. Last time I saw 2 guys being arrested. Hand Cuffed. Eat some Indian Food. Buy a Knock off Phone. Rooms are small but cheap. Clean for the most part. it is really just a great experience all around. Get up, get out and see something different!

He's using what's called a steady cam to film this. Its what they use when shooting movies, very pro. Figures that the highly technology enabled Japanese guy would have one ;-) JAPAN RULES!! :-)

i hear you. the place has an inexplicable appeal. i was surprised to see an article on it in time magazine. an uncle of mine named his hotel mansion. he's a multi-millionnaire but he prefers staying there. lol.

i think that time magazine named chungking mansions as the most globalised place in the world according to the origins of the people living in it,the place is quite interesting for that alone,your uncle has as much good taste as money,five star hotels are dead boring.

I, too, agree with you. However, I stayed at Mirador Mansion down the street from ChungKing Mansion. Perhaps you can check it out and let us know what you think? I enjoyed my stay there!
