  • @BONZOAU THE BEHIND THE CAMERA

  • They need to make funeral homes in more private locations....

  • Great video, girl killed it though right when she started singing, bugged the shit out of me. Your grandfather was a good man, a good Marine. Semper Fi

  • Say Thanks to your Grandpa, from Free Poland. R.I.P

  • thank you brother

  • heroes never die...

  • i wanted to hear what he said before handing over the flag !!

  • Deep respect for your grandfather ! And for you, to place the video! #respect

  • My grandpa's funeral was today. He was a Vietnam Veteran. He was cremated so we had to do it at the funeral home also. The 21-gun salute, it's an amazing honor to see that, but boy, did I start bawling afterwards. <3 SUPPORT OUR TROOPS.

  • That girl ruined the tranquility of the ceremony

  • Rest easy Marine. Once a Marine always a Marine.

  • The singing was horble, I had to Mute the video!

  • thats exactly how my great grandfathers funeral was!!! (exept nobody was singing amazing grace) R.I.P Great Grandpa Lambe ;(

    1. 2. 3. 4. united states marine corps OORAH!!!

  • i wish that girl didnt sing.. much more respectful when silent.

  • At ease Marine Sempier Fi

  • Semper Fi Marine!!!

  • The saluting of the flag at 2:56 just brought tears to my eyes. The sacrifice was not forgotten. Thanks to your grandpa and grandma from me, a free man.

  • The Singing Was Beautiful And My Late Father Whom Passed May 7,2011 Was Also A World War II Veteran.

  • i dont mean to be evil but the signing ruined it

  • Someone execute that person singing!

  • You are kind to share this both personal and public respect for a life well-lived. Thanks, to your grandfather, now passed, for his service. It hurts to read a disrespectful response to your little cousin's sweet voice. Is it possible to delete those comments? She has such a clear, loving voice, for an occasion of sorrow and family unity. Again, thank you, for sharing your family's ceremony. God bless.

  • was he at normandy? i was there for the memorial.

  • R.I.P to this brave well trained soldier that help during WWll ....Ur Grandpa will never be forgotton in history or any of the soldiers of the UNITED STATES MILITARY that served during that time...."ONCE A MARINE ALWAYS A MARINE"....

    "SEMPER FI"

  • @Ghostkillingyou sorry you where right .

  • @Ghostkillingyou he gave it right. The point was pointing towards himself not the family

  • The singing was the bad part. As a Marine I would expect the CORRECT version on the song sung at my Funeral.

  • @orcustrex Its a lil gril for crying out loud..show some respect sir...It doesnt matter if it wasnt the "correct" version...dont hate her for loving someone that died fighting for our country..

  • bad bad bad he presented the flag wrong. Never have the point stabbing the family (considered a insult)

  • The singing was ok, some people need to stfu.

  • whats the song called before the singing? im searching for it

  • @rbmadd taps

  • Stupid idiot singing, military funerals are meant to be silent. How do you explain tomb of the unknown soldier?? Exactly.....SILENCE = RESPECT

  • hey for all of you who are complaining about the singing, maybe it was requested by him. personally if my flag happens to be folded someday i have a request for bagpipes to play from the halls of montezuma while dressed in my clans tartan. just because you dont like doesnt mean they didnt. but hey everyone is entitled to their opinion right?

  • Honor Guard did some things wrong but still good i do know some units are taught different things. hence why i say that they did some things wrong because my unit does it different.

  • Marines are the best.

  • Like they say, "Once a Marine, always a Marine."

  • i thought the singing was disrespectful

  • lot of ppl complaining about the singing i thought i was actually sad.

  • I thought they did the flag folding and flag presenting thing at the grave sight?

  • @warblerab He was creamated so they did it there.

  • @FGxRaptor So he was inurned....:( What a brave man and i give my condolences to you and your family.

  • @FGxRaptor at least , your grangfather has not seen THE US MARINES POSING WITH AN SS FLAG . RIP

  • @Gedankenbaukunst

The SS stands for scout sniper. Those were scout snipers with the 1st Recon marines.

This is always a touching moment, and I'm just throwing out my opinion here, and I don't want to offend FGxRaptor but that was a really bad version of Amazing Grace. That song was my grandfather's favorite song that got him through WWII. He was a Corpsman and he told me every Sunday morning he'd sing that song and he told me if you're gonna sing it, sing it right. Good job to her, anyway.

  • @warblerab There are so many different situations, I'm Air Force honor guard, i've done plenty of funerals just like this (actually doing a 21 guns salute next to a road as well) and plenty of funerals at the grave site. it just depends where the family requests you to be.

  • who the hell is singing?

  • @bonzoAU My little cousin.

  • @FGxRaptor your cousin should shut up and go back to the kitchen.

  • semper fidelis

  • im proud of your grandfather and the singing is beautiful too semper fidelis

  • the two marines folding the flag did it wrong i believe, they did not come down together when they secured the end of the flag, while the flag folder was folding they did not keep tension on the flag and let the flag sag in the middle which makes the flag folding look bad, and the detail leader on the stars did not hold the flag even with the flag folder making it look even worse, and the detail leader also presented the flag with the point facing the next to kin which is a no go.

  • the singing was grate but the folding and presintation was in correct. never present the point..... and both men should have staied and soluted.

  • sorry bro

  • who cares that she sang, this was a persons funeral,

  • @DavidLacrosse11 Yea honestly.

  • your singing made my ears bleed

  • RIP.....but the singing was awful.

  • screw the singing it is to important and that screwed it up

  • Damn, the singing is completely awkward, and it sucks, sing Amazing Grace the right way first of all, and NOT during the rendering of military honors

    sorry for your loss

  • singing that bad is pretty disrespectful. its like butchering the national anthem but worse, because its someone's funeral.

  • HUGE HONOR TO SEE THIS BRO

  • CHARDI Taps does have words to it. and no Mrjonny it is not disrespectful to open an already folded flag. A flag that is at the funeral is foldeded by the funeral home. We come and re fold for the cermony. It would be weird if the honor guard just showed up and prestented a already folded flag.

  • FYI there is no need for music when the folding of the flag has its own meaning. Each fold represents something. Taps would have been more appropriate because there are no words.

  • Actually Chardi Taps does have words to it. You proably wouldn't have known i just found out. Reason being is that i am in the air force honor guard

  • @gizzmo91569 Taps is a bugle call, not a song. Taps is "sounded" not "played". Although people over the years have come up with various wording for the notes in Taps, officially, by the book, there are no words to Taps and shouldn't be.

  • when folding the flag there should be total silence. also there is no meaning to each fold of the flag.

  • This is an honor, It's such an honor beyond imagine to be part of the United States Marine Corps.

  • @metalmon oh rah

  • Disrespectfull bastards FUCK if the singing was good or bad just honor the dead you peace of worthless shit!

    RIP hero

  • Is it disrespect to open a flag that has been folded for the fallen?

  • @MrJonnyblood Typically yes, though it's typically something that one would put in a display case and honorably display.

  • The singing ruined it.

  • @goodatrumpet i dont think u realized that this was a persons funeral, who cares that she sang

  • @goodatrumpet The singing didn't, your comment did.

  • Comment removed

  • two words, SINGING LESSONS

  • singing is AWFUL!

  • I had never seen this in person until my grandfather's funeral. He is a veteran from WW2. That ceremony really struck me, and was a perfect and fitting part of his funeral.

I am an honor guard member for my fire department in Nashua NH. We currently don't have any ceremony for folding a flag, but after witnessing this type of ceremony I am working on it.

This video was a real help so, THANK YOU

  • Rest in Peace. You Will Never Be Forgotten for what you've done for your country...
