people dont mess up. a cover doesnt have to be exact to the original. I personally like this cover because it's pure onslaught style. When i listened to acdc's song i always thought how the song would be in a metal way. Thanks to onslaught now i know :D
@celticurse Good point. AC/DC is called by many as, "the pioneers of metal" after they released their Fly on the Wall album ('85), which is considered their first metal album. So it makes sence in the end.
@acdcguy18 well in a strange way it makes sense though, because without rock we probably wouldn't have heavy metal. but then again in the same way if it wern't for blue/jazz or I don't think we'd have rock either lol but thats looking too much into it.
This cover is... different. It's like AC/DC meets Metallica meets GnR meets Black Sabbath. Again, it's different, interesting, and unique. I think it's pretty good for a heavier version.
damnit.... what's with people arguing that they are from Australia or Scotland? Bon Scott was a Scottish man born in Australia and the other main exception is Cliff Williams who is English; Brian Johnson is also English
this is actually pretty good. this band is certainly doing their own version of it and not making a carbon copy of the original...but the original is always the best! AC/DC forever!
killer cover...Angus would like it lol. AC/DC is also better than any other band ever!!! Dont care how many people who reply to this negatively! They truly are the best and bands like sodom, anvil, destruction and obviously these guys would agree!! \m/ \m/ AND THE MUSIC WAS GOOD AND THE MUSIC WAS LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!
have to disagree with you ...this sounds much better than ac/dcs version. I know ac/dc released this song as a single but I dont know why ....go downs a much better song
Oh I'm so sorry but . . . all THREE of the main AC-DC driving force were born in SCOTLAND from SCOTTISH descent. The clue is in the name. (Bon SCOTT!) Granted the other two original members were AUSSIE but thats still a 3-2 victory to the SCOTTISH AUSSIE
Sorry buddy, don't worry you can still make that boast with Airbourne if you want to :>
In the beginning Back in nineteen fifty-five Man didn't know about a rock 'n' roll show And all that jive The white man had the *smoltz* The black man had the blues No one knew what they was gonna do But Tchaikovsky had the news That comes in every pm to me so you must have wrote that lyric, The spelling is totally wrong! its Schmaltz! Oy vadda fakaktus! You shouldda seen all the Hymies in Balaclava the other day! OY!
and the white man had the schmalz
or not?

Garbage. Let Bon do the singing.

Interesting cover.
Half as long, half as good.
It doesn't make sense for a metal band to do this song, mostly 'cause this is called "Let There Be Rock" and they're metal. Ironic.

WINFIELD120 2 years ago
NOT relevant! They were formed here so are AUSSIE!
Only the Young bros were ex scots.
The rest were Native born Aussies!

kipling01 2 years ago
So he was. Thought he was born here. No matter. I looked it up.
Who are Airbourne? Never heard of them.
I do know of an Airborne, however...
ace69er 2 years ago
After all that- you know a jazz band from Torino but not an aussie rock band based on AC-DC!! sheesh
kipling01 2 years ago
I do, you obviously MISSED the pun!!!
ace69er 2 years ago
Missed it totally mate, can't see the pun now even though you've pointed out that there is one!! I thought you just couldn't spell :>
kipling01 2 years ago
No i can spell fine. YOU didnt. Its AirBORNE, not Airbourne! Hence why i said i didnt know 1 but i knew the other.
Also, smoltz is spelt SCHMALTZ! Its YIDDISH!
Function: noun
Etymology: Yiddish shmalts, literally, rendered fat
Date: 1935
1 : sentimental or florid music or art 2 : sentimentality
— schmaltzy Listen to the pronunciation of schmaltzy \ˈshmȯlt-sē, ˈshmält-\ adjective
ace69er 2 years ago
wow. So near yet so far.
Even their own LOGO is spelt with a 'U'. sheesh!
Where did you get schmaltz *Yiddish shmalts, literally, rendered fat* from?! You never heard the word I used? Tis a common word . . . down our way!
I'm sorry to cause you such perricapobulations.
SHEESH: English slang.
Original Origins: Unknown
Usage: An expression of mild exasperation
Literal translation: "Good gracious me, I cant believe it!"
Circa: My dad, 1975 - Present
*I didn't copy mine from a book ;>
