Terrific video, in terms of the footage edited together, obviously not terrific in terms of death. One of the most devastating earthquakes of all time that did no damage until the Tsunami came along.

Only the day before i was on USGS and noted a 7.2 which wasnt reported tv wise due to its depth giving it no great cause for harm.

This was only a few days after king tides due to the moon. If you check the records, there had been a swarm of smaller quakes right on the epicentre of the 8.9 for a few days prior when the pull was the strongest. All it needed was the string to fray and then break.
