I stuck to power supplies together to produce 5000watts, but it didn't work, got a better power supply and temperatures went down. A small 10 cent capitor had exploded, but it was their suck power supply that had been the problem. So I got some ten cent power supplies, really cool 800 watts. Also, the flat cables last longer and are better than the steel braided cables. Theorietically, it should look ugly.

do you have stock cpu cooler?..and cpu on 3.76ghz?

you should not go more then 3.6ghz, if you don't have good cooling in your case...and it does not looks like you have that. but how hot is your cpu?

I have a better cooler now and I run it at 3780MHz for 24/7. Temps stay below 80C on full load with 24C room temp.

Yes, 850W is completely enough, even 750W would be... 4870 X2's stock power consumption is 290W.

Nice build dude. I just ordered my parts and i'm getting the Cooler Master HAF 932(heard is has PLENTY of space for HUGE coolers and GPU's) to play crysis i think imma Oc my CPU to 3.5 GHz. GTX 275, 6GB Ram,etc.

well now i have the comp and the case is WAY huger than i expected, it can litterally fit like 3 or 4 GTX 275 sizes GPUs and a pretty huge CPU cooler as well as and extended ATX mobo, it can ever support 2 PSU's lol

It's good for mid-range PC but it's nothing special... for long GPU's and big CPU coolers it's bad. Also it's pretty hard to do a good cable management with it.

You don't have to OC it but if you just want some more speed you can OC it to 3,2GHz easily with stock voltage.

Your CPU should be able to run at 3,2GHz with stock voltage. Just leave it on default in BIOS...

I have a video about OC-ing a core i7... just go to your BIOS and change the BCLK frequency from 133 to 160.

Download CPU-Z and check the core speed. Keep it on load to see the real frequency.

If you can do it, it would be good if you max it out. It should keep the chip a little bit cooler.

With stock cooler I couldn't raise it... maybe you can raise the speed of fan in BIOS. If you can't, it is on automatic and will work on it's maximum speed if the chip is getting too hot.

Thanks! Yes, it was running pretty good with stock cooler... temps got very high on full load. But I wouldn't recommend to run it on that frequency for 24/7 use with stock cooler...

I know that I will fry my chip in one year if I run it with maxed OC all the time. I have a good cooler now and I'm running this at 3,78Ghz for 24/7 with 1.32V. It will last me at least over 4 years with 1.32V. For benching I'm using 4137MHz (1.44V).
