  • We don't even talk like that

  • @laurynlorenzo Some people in minnesota do, it depends on on the area, I'm from St.Paul, and right now live in wisconsin, and some people here have the same accent. Some have it really heavy, and picked it up a little bit of the accent. Some people have it, and some dont. XD

  • I'm from Minnesota and I'll admit I do say my O's pretty bad and i sometimes do say "oh yah" but not nearly to that extent. Nobody I know talks like that.

  • Little bit over the top....

  • Okay, only people from Fargo Minnesota sound like that. Im from Minnesota and I don't talk like that at all.

  • @BrittanySkittles101 Fargo is in north dakota, which was the name of a movie that was filmed almost entirely in Minnesota.

  • Is he from Minnesota?

  • Thats how we sound!

  • got to hand it to ya, thats REALLY good as far as a fake over the top accents go. Even it we don't actually have THAT strong of an accent, it's not like we don't make fun of southern or other states accents, its a mutual circle of slight racism that brings us closer together :D

  • Okay i have to admit, you 're terrible language is SPOT ON for makin' fun of us Minnesotans , and yes, we do have accents, but every time i've listen to someone mock my accent , they get all high-piched. And i agree, FUCK the movie FARGO. fuckin terrible actors were terrible, i tell ya! OOFTA :P

  • Ha, we do kinda have accents. Like how we don't say our T's at the end of words..

  • You're overdoing quite a bit at the beginning. Watch a Joe Mauer interview for an authentic Minnesota accent.

  • it's only some parts of MN that have accents, I live in woodbury and people say I have a californian accent

  • i did a shot each time he said the word "Fucking".

  • 13 people are watching fuckin cable with deb...

and we dont say yah all the time and we dont say "Fuck" or "fucking" in every sentence ! i find this vary offensive

  • Why do you find it offensive? To a New Yorker, you have a HEAVY accent. Just as you would say about us.

  • Im from Minnesota i find this offensive! Lol

  • @amakerlee u still got it?

  • HAHA I've never met anyone that sounds even close to that, but this is hilarious.

  • I almohst chohked awn a fuhckin sawsage, yah know? It was fuhckin crayzy. LOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • umm yeah I know a few people who do sound like this is MN. good ol Minnesnowta!!!!

  • @cjs1993USMC I had this as my ringtone for awhile.

  • i like by canada , only accent i notice saying is eh and you betcha

  • I am from minnesota and do notice accents, but your accent is almost too extreme.. people farther north speak deeper in their O's.. you sound like the yip yip's on sesame street. Plus Eden Praie was the best city to live in for 2011. Maybe it's all about the accent..haha

  • Nah man. You got it all wrong. you dont see me talkin like that now do ya? lol

  • You guys are a little thick on the accent, but you had me rollin'. LOL! hahaha

  • lol funny

  • haha im minnesotan and this is fuckin hilarious.

  • I do know people who talk like that, but they're usually middle-aged men... So... yeah- or YAH- I guess they do have accents...

But this was funny. Though, guy in the background, your accent -whatever it was supposed to be- was awful...

  • I'm from Minnesota and I think this is fuckin hilarious, all of you others from MN that think this is offensive? Settle down! The guy is just havin fun with it! Stop havin a coronary over it! Haha

  • way too exaggerated! only northerners and hicks sound so high pitched but i liked it it was funny

  • lol thats so overdune

  • Ok, it's a little overboard but pretty close :D lol I'm a Minnesotan, I would know.

  • just fuck no. your taking it to far. im from minnesota.

  • Minnesota is fucking superb

  • @pack1 This shood be ona tee-shirt, hey.

  • Nobody in the cities talks like this but in the burbs it's intense!

  • hah okay i'll admit we do say "ya know." but you definitely OVER EXAGGERATED most of it.

  • i talk like that, but i dont swear like a sailor

  • Helloooo, not all of us minnesotans talk like that..my older broder does, but not me..;)

  • Get real.... all Minnesotans have accents. It is the combination of the Scandinavian's accents that settled this state. Hate to tell you though we don't all swear the way you do in this video!

  • lmao nice.

  • lol that is exactly how i talk don' cha know I know people that have far thicker minnesotan accents and its fuckin hilarious...I can guarantee if you ice fish you talk like that so don't even try to deny it

  • we dont sound like this at all....

  • @zacharytmilner yea ive heard people talk like this from minnesota. i somewhat talk a little like this and im from south saint paul

  • Uh! Ruuuude!! Minnesotains dont have ACCENTS!! The british have accents!! and that accent iz soooo.. weird... not even close to how we minnesotains talk.

  • It sounds like my teacher, but shes a girl and her accent is WAY stronger. Hard to believe, and plus at every end of every sentence her voice tone goes up to the highest note thing she can. It pisses me off soooo muccchhhh I wanna smack her

  • I'm from Rochester, Minnesota which is south eastern of Minnesota and we don't really have a strong accent like that. So not all Minnesotans' have a strong accent like that. Its actually the north cities in Minnesota like Duluth that has an accent that thick. But south east cities in Minnesota like Minneapolis/St. Paul, Bloomington, Minnetonka, Rochester, and Mankato mainly just all have normal mid-western accents.

  • perfect this is hilarious and we sound just like that

  • perfect this is hilarious and we sounds just like that

  • totally minnesota

  • I am from Minnesota, and we DO sound like that! But I happen to think it is an awesome accent :D

  • Im from MN and the ones from way up north by canada have an accent, i live in central mn and no one talks like that period unless they are Norwegian dontcha know

  • I live in MN we Minnesotans don't talk like that.

  • i was born in fargo. i have nooo accent ooookey?

  • sound more like Chicago tards

  • Swearing is not an accent :P lol

  • Minnesotans don't talk like that!!!!!! Geezus!!

  • I was born in California and lived there till I was ten, when we moved to Minnesota. I've lived here in MN for ten years now and yes, Minnesotans have accents. It's really hilarious when people say they don't. But now living here for so long I have the accent, but who gives a shit.

  • Absolutely SICK with all the F**K words!!! Nice try on accent but you much practice!

  • I'm from MN and we do not sound like that

  • yu def have an accent bro! if yu heard the way i talk you can tell right off the bat that i'm from the tri-state area

  • Im from Northern minnesota...and everybody sounds like this...but i moved down to the cities...and people say ihave an accent :S lol

  • hahaha im from minnesota and the only part i like was the swearing hahaha but we dont sound like that look at my video... PLZ anyone...

  • @briannarox1213 lol you totally do. i can hear it in your videos.

  • hahaha im from minnesota and the only part i like was the swearing hahaha

  • I am shocked at how many responses I got - It's hilarious mainly because...

People NOT from Minnesota all agree that people in Minnesota have accents. I am from wisconsin and I have one. Big Whoop. I say things like Big Whoop. For some fucking odd reason - minnesotans will look you in the face and deny that they have an accent. Just like they stole brett favre and denied it!

  • I'm from the Twin Cities in Minnesota, and we don't have that accent.

  • I'm from Minnesota and I live in Minneapolis, and no one has this accent. Maybe people way up north have it.

  • I'm from Minnesota and we don't sound like that.

  • i was born in minnesota, still am, we don't say that shit like that... well...

we kinda do, but that's still not accurate >n>

  • lol damn I remember the days when I lived in Minnesota. I was born and raised there..I miss it to be honest...

  • okay idk who say this is a U.P. accent but i have relatives who live there and no one talks that way.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA IM SO FRIKIN MESSED UP RIGHT NOW I WANT TO MARRY YOU

  • I say 'ya know' all the time :) Go Minnesooooooota!

  • they overexaggerate this wayyyy to much

  • This is a U.P. accent, you morons.

  • This is not a Minnesota accent. I would know. I AM a Minnesotan.

  • my boyfriend is from minnesota and he sounds JUST like this. he always says you know? just like that haha. good impression :)

  • This is a Fargo accent. Have NEVER heard someone talk like this in Minnesota my entire life.

  • well the accent is found more in northern minnesota

  • If you want a realistic demonstration of the Minnesotan accent, watch an interview of Joe Mauer.

  • this was good!

  • Growing up in South East Wisconsin, I definitely have some cousins that talk EXACTLY like this. Since moving away from Wisconsin I've only picked up on it, but realize that it's actually a pretty strong accent, lol. Whenever I bring it up to them they think I'm nuts. People from both Minnesota and Wisconsin claim "we talk like on the news - the most neutral accent". Maybe if you're from Nebraska or Indiana. But those from MN/WI in their heads truly think they speak like that.

  • Yah, I'm from near the twin cities and I've never heard anyone talk like this, funny shit though. I did go to school at UMD in Duluth and there are some people who live up that way that have a mild accent.

  • im from minnesota and this is the best video ive seen....sounds just like my cousin and the people at my cabin! but not all people sound like this! hilarious!

  • what!?!?! we minnesotans do NOT sound like that

  • @AirsoftInc Yeah, when I was there (South St. Paul), I thought people spoke a pretty neutral standard American English ... well, at least I never felt that they pronounced anything in a particularly odd way, but then English isn't my first language so maybe would have missed those things anyway.

  • that sounded... terrible.

  • haha i have ever herd anyone talk like that! lolz. Haha but i live in Minneapolis. so yea haha

  • @iluvmichaelj50 Lmao,I live in minneapolis and have lived there forever and i have that accent. D:

  • we do not sound like that. unless you're from WAYYYY up there... like int'l falls... but in the cities... we don't sound like that... or say the f word every 6 seconds.

  • Nobody in Minnesota talks like this?

    Besides the whole "fuckin" part.

    hahahhaha Gotta love Minnesota :)

  • The beginning was really exaggerated, but after about 0:47 it was dead on! We really do say ya know a lot. Then is another one. "I'll go do that, then." XD

  • you didn't over exaggerate like everyone else.. but still not good enough xD

  • Sounds just like my family. I laughed so hard.

  • i dont think ive heard someone say oh-yah and im from minnesota

  • -.- I'm a Minnesotan and I am not impressed we do not all talk like that only people in the north near Canada

  • WE DONT TALK LIKE THAT THAT IS FREAKING CANADIAN

  • I have a number of friends from Wisconsin that sound pretty much like this. In far northern Wisconsin they even start saying the Canadian 'eh' after their sentences.

  • This is close, but it's VERY overdone. I happen to live in Minnesota, and it's not quite so strong. This is closer to very far north candian.

  • hahaha I'm from Minnesota, but i still think this is hilarious... but i don't think we insert the f word into normal conversation that many times.. hahaha

  • ...king crab lobster LAYGS.

  • ★★★★★

  • The movie fargo gave people a bad perception of the accent in minnesota.

  • yeah not funny I do not talk like that at minnesota

  • mabey if you go farther up north peopew will talk like that, mabey even in canada, but not in centeral or southern, i live in centeral, and our accents are NOT that strong

  • yeah no one in minnesota talks like that. The accent is so wrong

  • ok im from minnestota ive never met anyone that talks like this

  • but I think we generally say "ya know" a lot hahaha and even I do and I live in the TC. so great I love it. "fuckin love it... ya know?"

  • @himsel23 Hey, I'm from NY and I say "ya know" a lot LOL.

  • haha i just noticed how much minnesotans say fuckin before everything

  • haha no one from like the twin cities talkes like that

  • hey now.... we DO NOT sound like that.. haha. but this is funny... lol.

  • Blame the coen bros

  • uhhh what!? grrr those stupid stereotypes! we really don't talk like that! just because Minnesota has the biggest Scandinavian heritage in the country (which i loooove) we are filed under "weird" yer all just jealous. but, yes, we do say "ya know?" but not like people think. i say uff da cuz i can, but i never say "dontcha know?" ugh your all the weirdos.

  • omg we all have accents

  • omg i say "ya know?" a lot and well i do and im from mnnesota, but i don't sound like tht. I say the word boat like "bow-et" or something idk

  • dude from wisconsin and minnesot srry we don't talk like that at least where i have been.

  • they suck at this

  • omg we do have accents

  • he sounds more Wisconsin than Minnesota. Although the differences are minimal at most.

Its really sad because i dont think you guys have an accent....

    God Bless Northern Wisconsin eh?

  • DON'T CHYA KNOW !!!!

  • Oh man, that was really funny (sans all the swearing). I am from Wisconsin and go the Minnesota all the time (It's a 10min drive) and I have heard that accent. Maybe a little bit less heavy, but I've heard it from a few people. It's not by any means the normal Minnesota accent, but man is it funny when you do find it.

  • hahaha sounds like my uncle, you sound more canadian though, lol nice try.

  • boo hoo guys. Everyone has a accent. I'm sorry, but as a born and raised Minnesota I have heard that accent before. In some people and places it is more pronounced then others, but it is there. We make our o's to long. Deal with it. On the plus side, it is considered a very neutral accent so is often favored in national news anchors and such.

  • Comment removed

  • ive been hunting in northern wisconsin (real close to Ironwood MI) and the people do have a northern / midwestish accent . but in MN its norwegien influenced and some words are said differently. otherwise its somewhat similiar

  • oh theiirs alotta scandies in wisconson to now.

  • lol idont here that much but im from nd

  • you only get that north of the cities. its all that damn movies fault (Fargo)

  • lmao that is so minnesota!

  • thats soooooooo not a mn accent listen to the way i talk. im from mn... well i guess in northern mn but so not in the twin cities. but be careful not to insult the way we speak okay cause some of us will feel offended

  • @MsDahliaJones

it wasn't that bad, if not a little much, but the stereotype is that we're conservative. we don't swear in every sentence. say "shazam!" "melon farmer" and "fiddlesticks." haha i dare you.

    okay, okay...

we dont say those things, but i just thought it might be funny to see YOU saying them.

  • LMAO I am from MN, my name is Deb, and I know a Gill. and p.s. I love cable, and party platters!!! (mn accent) so, whos' kids are you?"

  • I hate to admit it, but in certain parts of Minnesota, we do sound like that. Not so much Twin Cities, but southern Minnesota and Northern Minnesota, we kinda sound like that.

  • Movie way over exagerate the accent. The farther north and older you get.

  • i live on the iron range and im pretty sure nobody talks like that maybe further north

  • i am also from crosby ironton and we DO talk like that!

  • im from the iron range and there are people that have accents like that and i might sound like that too haha.

    People are seriously inbred.

  • @amakerlee That statement made no sense.

  • @DAnOOBSan it was in response to someone on here. its a parody...idiot. meaning that it's clearly someone doing something that is fake for them. God people on the internet are just so stupid!

  • @amakerlee It still made no sense.

    And, stop being so irritable.
