Who said socialism was bad? We should all be so lucky to have democratic socialism. Or, to explain, a system in which the people are provided for through taxes. Medical care for everyone (not just the rich), housing and adequate food for all (not just the middle class, and not necessarily the best house, but subsistence living). And of course, decent education for all. I teach US History in high school and love my country and would love it even more if we were more socialist.

Also, his Senate competetion consisted of a man who beat his wife, another who brought his wife to sex parties and another (Alan Keyes) who didn't even live in Illinois and had to fly in from Maryland. it is much more pro life if President cares to provide medical coverage for ALL American people. Do you know how many women are basically forced to have an abortion because they have NO health insurance? You will be surprised how many abortions can be prevented just by helping women to save their babies and let them not have worries about future bill that kills.

I watch Fox News every day and have never seen them bad mouth Obama that way - unless you're talking about MSNBC's 5-sec clips put together on the matter. Give me one, just one interview where he has been asked real questions on internal and external political issues... crickets, crickets. I thought so. What unity is he talking about? He refuses to go on Fox News to answer tough questions, thus putting aside millions of American. He only goes to MSNBC, the Ellen Show, Tyra Banks Show and the View where no one asks he any real questions concerning his flip flops on just about every issue. Our ability to fight well in places like Iraq and Afghanistan and the way that we handle Iran and Venezuela are crippled by are our dependence on on oil. America is scared of going to far with some countries because many of them are countries that America depends on for oil. Once America is free of oil dependence then we can more effectively deal with countries that the U.S. has problems with.

Oil companies make billions. Raising taxes on those companies wont make the gas up. Just look at what has happened. Bush did not raise tax in those companies, and prices are up big. I remember paying 1.30, 1.50 for a gallon in 2001. GAS IS UP BECAUSE BUSH AND THOSE THAT PAID HIS WAY INTO THE WHITE HOUSE, FOUNDED A LOOP WHOLE, TO MAKE BILLIONS. LAST 8 YEARS THEY FOUND A PRESIDENT TO PLAY THEIR GAME. and please stop believing gas is up because of the war this is not the first war we had.

How many times our current enemies where our previous allies asking us for peace and assistance, Cuba when Castro took over, Vietnam '45 under Ho, and even Iraq 1992 with the national uprising, what did we do, nothing at best and attacking them at worst. Even when duly elected Chavez is almost overthrown by an illegal coup we villanized him because of oil! We need to clean our own act before nation building other countries.
