Hey, I got a question!! How'd you move the camera so smoothly without even tilt the camera a little?? I am trying to record my Sims as smooth as I can but I can't...
I used some user made ceilings from ModTheSims2; I can't recall the name of the creator, but it was a ceiling tile system with a controller object to turn them on and off.
Ah, I suppose your videos are the height of good taste and entertainment? Such an informed and unbiased person you are. Kudos on deforming the english language.
Download Iradio free trial for 15 days. Go to search. Search by genre. Choose ambient. Add "Limbik Frequencies" and "OEM radio." Limbik is better. You will find better music than this on those 2 stations. You can record the stations and keep the files. It will automatically organize, separate, and sort your files in your "My Radios" folder. If you burn them and/or partition your hard drive, you can reformat, re-download, and get more files whilst keeping the ones you already downloaded!
you could like.. be a camera man in hollywood one day. that's pretty good, when ever i zoom in and out on the sims, it's either too close or too far. >.<
you have the timing right and everything. >.< i always go through walls and crap. anyway keep it up. where did u get that house? built or downloaded?
why did you decide to have the door slam at the end? i liked the video and understood most of what you were trying to portray, but i didn't get that one part.
Given the limitations of the contest (no sims could appear on screen), I wanted to make it evident someone (with company?) was in there and wanted some privacy. Listen close and you hear a giggle right before it closes.
Thanks! It's not you... the camera's twitchy for everyone, believe me. For this vid, the only secret was it was just a straight back dolly move, no panning at all. So there wasn't any chance to twitch. :)
People don't seem to get this... The rules were: one minute time limit, and no Sims present in film. I thought this was good, following those parameters.
Sound was amazing. Even if it was 2 shots, it seemed like 1 and that's why the door slamming was such a dramatic ending (along with the sound). Nice build up and great flow to this movie.
I think the cieling tiles would have been better left off, and instead make the walls a second level. Those tiles just arent pretty enough. Great little coda with door. Great work.
People said it all, but for me the best is the slamming door in the end.

Overman, did you slow down the manual movement or the transition between keyframes? Nice experiment, and I really love your design of the house.
Spong3y 3 years ago
I didn't slow it down in post, but I did change some config settings in the game to make manual camera movement slower.

Good video! The music fits very well.

oohhh... Heres a story for the video.
It started with a tree and evolved to a romantic feel. Where the tree was like a family tree. and to have a family you must make them.

I suppose it could be. The problem is, it's not complete, just a film set, so there's not much to it other than what was visible to the camera. :)
