  • Sorry! That's "CandyRat" records.

  • I keep coming back to "RatCandy" to see and hear the singer/songwriters. Justin, you always stand out as a REALLY great talent. This song has a memorable melody and the lyrics are perfectly biting. "Cheesy Little Love Song" is fantastically fun. It makes me smile every time. Your latest, "You", has the obvious word at the end of the verse unexpectedly silent, which adds mightily to it's value. Please continue to write and sing. IT'S WORKING!

  • LOVE IT!

  • this song is exactly me..moved on but theres always that void...sigh..the good ol days back on that beautiful island

  • amazing voice guy!

  • so sad but i really love this song :)

  • this guy is singing about what i want to say to this one girl...

  • @june12canada

    Cool story.

This vid is about Taylor not bieber.

    ==> []

  • @Mr77Blackjack ... I know that.. But someone put a comment that the wrong Justin got Famous & im pretty suree that was talkin About justin Bieber.

  • @june12canada poor boy... yeah of course.. He can play the guitar good? nope he can't. Actually do you know what a real musician is? In my opinion a real musician writes his songs on his own and tells about a story from his/her life or feelings. A musician doesn't have to play 4 different instruments, this doesn't makes you a good musician. But any way, just listen to this great song and don't come up with this bieber shit.

  • @june12canada So what if he can play instruments? An artist playing instruments? How original!

  • if you sucked more you'd be famous.. I think that was a compliment. well done man.

  • I want to make you famous so much. But I can't. :(

  • What amazing guitar work... love the song

  • that last chord is the first chord to Don Ross's song "It's fun being lucky."

  • just an amazing song, keep with this.

  • love this song. :( mi corazon espara ti.

  • Once in a while a Muscian comes along that has a hit song that needs to be noticed... Its time for a Justin Taylor ... kind of we are missing a Nilson .. He hs much better talent .. I will will learn this song and would love to acompany Justin ...I too am a Lover of Larrivee OM's L's & D's ..Their sound are the best with the 1 3/4 nut width.. Cheers Justin .. you hang in there man .. You are great ...This one should be heard all over the world

    Dave

    Calgary

  • @dwebster50 I agree Justin is a gem. Also, I heard this song and three days later went out and bought a Larrivee. Loooove the sound of this guitar!

  • @Cali4yaDreaming

Yes Larrivee's are very nice for a production built guitar.. I particularly like the ones made in Vancouver , or the Non gloss and plain .. I like sappelle sides and back for the rich tones and of course spruce tops.

Justin has a great lead bass line in this song , which makes it besides his voice tones and I really think its a hit...There are alot of influences , thats what is so cool about music.. ...

  • It's a Larrivee.

  • trying to numb off the part that's the life of me..wow

  • Sad, i have to keep listening to this song....unlucky in love. Good song, though <3

  • What guitar is that man??

  • @joelinnell And you're a douche bag with a keyboard!

  • Your guitar playing is magical!!! Danelle L.

  • Danelle L wants to marry you!!!!! Believe it!

  • This is so beautiful! *on the verge of crying* Thanks for the music! ♥

  • I love your voice

  • I've no words for this song, other than "perfect."

  • that was beautiful :') i'll remember you in my speach when i get famous!

  • Absolutely wonderful...

  • James Taylor's son is Ben Taylor. Justin Taylor is certainly right up there for sure.

  • is he the son from James Taylor?

  • Comment removed

  • he makes my peepee cry.

  • The wrong Justin got famous, why.

  • @IVbili Fame destroys musicians. Little see that.

  • @Jack1C1Brown I agree, however I've noticed that there are a few who actually stick around. The only one I'm going to reference off the top of my head, probably because of the way this song makes me feel, is Imogean Heap. Anyway, I think that some musicians can't be corrupted, atleast not as easily as some others. But the core of my thought of shitty music, is that the people that made it, were in it for the fame to begin with.

  • This song says exactly how I feel. What a great style and a great musician. Thanks Justin.

  • God Bless the Criator of Guitar! =)

  • Anyone know what brand of mics those are?

  • awesome voice, strong lyrics 10/10

  • Candyrats on a roll(they always have been) but im glad to see there keeping in a great direction with musicians.

  • Could you speak my mind any better? I'll always love her.

Thank you for such a wonderful piece of music.

Please keep it coming. I rather enjoy all of you music.

  • Amazing Justin, You are a wonderful songwriter

  • You sound like John Mayer, but better.

  • thanks it's so beautifull;this song and your voice follow me in my days. Now i'm fine.

  • What a wonderful song!

  • Don't know why, but this song (or is it his voice?) makes me think of Christmas.

  • @Vexating it's the jazzy chords and smooth voiceline..... and it's not only you..... I think it's on everybody's mind

  • Love it!

  • wow, nice song, keep it up. man you are talented.

  • wow, nice song, keep it up!!

  • He reminds me of John Mayer. I love John Mayer. You get my point.

  • This song has come to be incredibly meaningful in my life.

  • wow, this is a great song! love the chords and the harmonies. it's not as simple as usual pop songs especially for an original. great!!

  • absolutely amazing :)

  • Justin Taylor? really? as in Queer as Folk Justin Taylor...? Well i bet you heard this before, ha? anyway...nice

  • Didn't Andy Mckee record in this same place?

  • @zeedi0 it's in the candyrat studios, so I guess it's possible....

  • Beautiful(:

  • similar to john mayer's st. patricks day. this guy is great!

  • I wish I couldn't relate 100%... :(

That's where I am right now.

  • Awesome. Lovely, mellow and smooth sound. Chill out!| Thank you :)

  • Mellow and soulful. Thank you! :)

  • i love this. perfect lyrics.

  • It's the invisable ties that keep us bound. A musical repraisantation of just that. PERFECT! Thanks Justin! It's crying time now.

  • At moments like this I hang my head in shame that I call my self a singer/guitarist. My God our brother here has talent. So much soul. I praise God for the gift of music. I shall practice more and try to sing better. Perhaps one day I shall write a song like this and connect with others the way Justin Taylor does. Well sang man. alex

  • Lovely voice, man. Love the melody of this song. Your guitar playing is awesome too. Just not too crazy about the lyrics.

  • theres so much undiscovered talent in this world.

  • this song needs to have 1million plus views.

  • candyrat has now become my go to music for life.

  • Thats a love song, so beautiful <3

  • so sad... god this is amazing.

  • lol we got the same name. and we both play guitar and sing! Hell yeah broseph.

  • Sounds like a Norah Ephron ripoff. I could be wrong..just sayin''. Undeniable talent. Wish I had one-enth of it.

  • SMOOTH MAN!!!,or what we like to call here in my country- - "SWABE" ^_^

  • this is the first time i've heard your music. stumbled upon it while listening to damien rice. DIGGIN YOUR MUSIC!

  • excellent song...i loved...!

  • This song is great, gotta get a tab or something! Crazy good vocals with alot of soulful guitar playing.

  • Zakochałam się. :))

  • lovin it

  • i had my eyes closed at the beginning of the video and i could swear i saw an angel singing

  • It's such a beautiful song! :)

  • Lyrics need to be tightened up. If you could sing it a little deeper that would make it seem more heartbreaking. I think you want to try and convey a little more emotion with this song. Voice levels tend to become lower when someone is upset. It is a good start.

  • @sarahdaye1981 see...this is an example of constructive criticism, not something infantile like "this shyt is ghey". why can't more people comment on youtube stuff like you just did?

by the way, i'd have to disagree with the lower voice thing (for the most part). another vocal break or two might do the trick. the really, REALLY high part (2:20) kinda does break the "sad" feel of the song.

  • KaliXstatic its a her song .

    abosulte beautifull

  • Beautiful cover. The chords sound really good.

  • I LOVE this song... so great

  • badass piece bud:) nice flow to the progression, good use and mix of several jazz and classical components. Very reminiscent of the early John Mayer pieces from back when he was just hitting the scene in Atlanta with his acoustic guitar, which is some of the finest work he ever did.

Motown just went white and unplugged! hehe:)

    Seriously though, good work man:)

  • THE best singer/songwriter song ever! nothing compares to it!!!

  • I can't even begin to say how much I appreciate this song. This perfectly describes something I just went through. I've never had a song explain so fully and so well what I wanted to say after my break up. Thank you for your talents!

  • this song is simply divine.

    i loveee it.

  • LOVE this song it speaks to many

  • cool my name is JUSTIN TAYLOR ,too

  • half step down ftw

  • beautiful chord progressions

  • feeling in the same mood. It's a great song

  • The name Taylor must have some deep rooted harmonic talent attached to it. The older one, James, was pretty good in his day too.

  • amazing

  • where did this guy come from

  • gotta learn this!!! much love from hawaii and thank you

  • Makes me happy :P

  • damn. so sick..

  • this song reminds me of john mayer's song man on the side

    but a good song

  • @baller1211 The lyrics reflect a similar theme though Mayer involves more of a rock-base whereas Taylor uses a folk-base.

Simple, concise, and appropriate are the best ways to describe the consistent and gentle approach towards such a volatile topic.

  • You are the best new singer in the world today . Thanks , I´m so happy listenining your music .You can´t imagine it . I´m a musician too from Spain and your so deep and simple at the sime time and this is so dificcult . The best for you in your life . You deserve it . Thank you very much

  • me too!

  • really good

  • why do your voice sounds like an angel? mainly in this moment...

  • hi Justine!you play the guitar really well and your voice is just the best partner of the song you just sang.I like the way your finger moves through the strings...hope ill be able to meet you in person and witness your beautiful gift...keep it up!

  • great voice :)

  • It actually does! :D

  • ahah YES. that's the one...for reference, because of the down thumbs I'm getting...I like the song and am in no way trying to diminish its credibility, it just sounded familiar on one part

  • damn cool.......great

  • The girl i wanted to be with moved on from me before i could tell her. So I missed my chance. God, I love her. God, this song reminds me of her so much. I've had this tune on my head all day.
