awww. this puppy looks like my dog Michael. He passed away last year just a day after new year. awww... I cried so much, I was with him all time, was just sitting on snow and touching his leg. Then mom took him to house and I was still with him. He was not JUST a dog, or my pet, he was my brother, I don't even remember the day when he arrived in our family. So, he was so important to me. Now, I feel so huge empty space, and I guess I will never filled it.

They gave me unconditional love and I treated them back with love, affection and tenderness. I will never forget them.....NEVER! Lost my favorite pet Zack almost 20 years ago,he was old and starting to really suffer so we decided to end his pain.and have him put down. The thing is that he was a dead ringer for Roxy right down to the grey chin whiskers. I refused to bury my dog in a box. My good friends family own a funeral home. So I bought a baby casket to bury my dog, along with her favorite toys and pictures of my wife and me. Since we did not have kids,,she was all we had..miss her so much.
@teleclasster man sorry for your loss, this reminds me of my dog rah'gee, man i still think about him, even see him in my dreams sometimes, man to think its been 32 years now and i was 16 year old when he pass. heck he got some kind of arthritis an died at 12 years old. this may not mean nothing to you, but me and my family left town for 2 weeks on vacation. I remember when we came back, our grass was 3 feet high and my sister said that rah'gee just got back 2 hours b4 us, he was gone 4 2 weeks

I know the feeling! It's been 2 years now & I still feel guilty about letting the Vet administer the final needle! Her lungs were filled; but she was still mobile. I gave her a whole box of her favorite treats: "Tim Hortons Tim Bits". before the final injection. She was half Hound Dog & looked-up at me with those sad eyes before she expired. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. We have had to put down 2 dogs and 1 cat. . Each time a piece of my heart went to.We had to put Rascal down first. Then Abby our cat. Last May we put our Cocker spaniel Baxter down. Rascal was going blind , he had alot of other problems and he was 15. Abby was only 3 but had feline leukemia. Baxt er was only 11 but was having grand mal seizures and possibly had a brain tumour or stroke. We miss them so much, but now have a little corgi to fill our hearts .TC

To all that have lost your beloved family member pets like I have, please remember that ALL animals are God's creatures and they ALL go to Heaven where they romp play and get along harmoniously with one another. I had a dog I once loved very much. His name was Bandit. An old girl friend of mine dumped him off on me. She threw him away just like she did me. I took him because I loved him and I still loved her. I never did see her again, but I had 13 wonderful years with Bandit. When he died, I knew she was gone forever.

We had to have our Cash put down a few days after my last post. I would have let him die on his own if I had to do over again!!! But I realize he was not able to eat, drink or get around so maybe this ended his suffering!!However, he was the best dog we ever had. Never growled at another person or animal. He had a Christ like spirit. In some ways, I think he had the spirit of Christ.!I hope Jesus is enjoying him as much as we did!And I will be happy the day I can see him again.
@brownwoman64 I'm sorry to hear about your sweet dog. You probably did what was best. Roxy didn't show signs of bad pain until her last day. I called our vet for an appt. to have her put down and was waiting for my husband to come home. I stayed with her only leaving her briefly to get something to eat and had my son take over watching her. That's when she took her last breath.
My sister has a lab named Max and in the four years I was staying at her place I got to know him. I watch this video and it makes me think about when his time comes. I know a lot of people will be heartbroken. Anybody who has a dog considers him/her a part of the family. I know Roxy is looking down on us, waiting for us. What a beautiful dog Roxy is.

I remember this dog from the video a couple years back. Sorry to learn that she has passed. I have six dogs buried on my property and each one had a story to tell. This song has always brought tears for the passion it holds about our best friends. I never tire of it. It is said that the worse thing about owning dogs is that they just don't live long enough. But imagine living without them. I'm sure your life is more blessed by taking in that stray 13 yrs ago. Memories for a lifetime.

@teleclasster I feel your pain. We are going to have our border collie put down in the next few days. He is in stage 3-4 renal failure, can barely walk, and not keep his food down. God please pray for us at this time..

Roxy looked just like my Sassy who passed away in 2002 september 12th. I still miss her and dream with her once in a while. I know she's happy where she's at and no longer in pain. She died of a brain tumor. Roxy, how did it happen? I am so sad and wish you all the best. Only us dog lovers know the pain of departing from our best friends.

She was a beautiful girl, I know you must miss her. I lost my Tasha when she was 14 and although I have now gotten another dog and love her so much, I still think of Tasha and .miss her

@bidlakbks Roxy is still with us. She can move around from the front to the back of the yard but needs help up and down porch steps. She is eating and enjoying all the attention she gets every evening when she comes in. She has always had a good life with us and was very independent so being dependent was new. She likes to watch us do all our same activities but from a laying down position, head up and alert. She is my best friend. Thanks for your nice words.
@itdoesntmattename Roxy had been limping on a back leg that was not recovering so we took her in for x-rays this week. She has a tumor on her hip and some bone deterioration. We are trying to make her comfortable and not sure how much longer she will be with us. She is getting lots of rest, her favorite foods and lots of love from her family. She showed up at our house 13 years ago and has been the best dog ever. I am so thankful my husband made this video of her 2 years ago.
A pet is the best friend anyone can ever have. They are the friends people are incapable of being these days. They love in a way that humans cant and dont love. Read a story about a dog who stayed by his owner for several weeks after he pasted. When the body was found dog was by his side!! I dont know of a person who would do that for anyone!!!LONG LIVE THE PETS IN OUR LIVES!!!

@pocorro In January, Roxy had hurt her spine or shoulder, not sure what happened, and was in a lot of pain. We thought she might need to be on pain medication for the remainder of her life. She responded well to Novox and I took her off of it after 3 weeks and she made a full recovery. She is happy, moving good and still able to go on long walks with us. She is such a fine dog and I'm getting ready to sit out on the front porch with her now. Mrs. Teleclasster

iReally scary how much this vid reminds me of my Missy. I lost her at 16 in '09. She was the smartest dog i've ever had n my family...could get out of any gate or fence. My little girl's ears didn't lift as she was probably more border collie....we'll never know b/c she was a pound puppy. People please love and appreciate you puppies b/c they bring SO much joy into our life and look at us with such a deep caring soul. Roxy continues to amaze us with her energy, given she's around 13. Not like a younger dog, but she still has plenty of spirit. She now likes to come in the house most every night and has never messed up anything, she just lays down in the family room in one spot, and waits for me to let her out at 6:30 am. The whole family enjoys Roxy immensley. Thanks for asking!

I had this song on a 45 RPM record. I decided to make an entire 8 track tape with the song looping over and over (I was what, 17?). I used a 45 minute tape, and set my turntable to repeat. It worked out just perfectly so that if I clicked through the channels the exact same 8-10 seconds of the song would play on all four channels- just enough to play the drum part at the end (or any other similar-length part of the song) all the way through four times.
This song has always had an effect on me. My mother's dog has cancer and will eventually die at only 6. I have my tow dogs;a boxer and spinger spaniel mix and I love them dearly. the dog in this video is so sweet and I hope this is not a portrait of remembrance. All animals should be loved becuase they love uncondistionally. I wish humans could do that.

About 12 years ago my beloved lab, Blackie, died on our front porch. A few days later 'Roxie'showed up and had clearly been abused. My wife gave her water and some food and she would run like crazy, but kept coming back...she had no where to go.
We adopted her, and it took years to gain her trust. Turned out she was pregnant and had a litter of pups, which we found homes for. She now comes inside on cold nights and never messes a thing up. She has a good life with plenty of land to roam!
What an awesome friendship!! I pray for people to bond together like WE do with our pets! I guess the UN-CONDITIONAL part sometimes gets in our way! Thanks T for a GREAT video! I hope that you share many more with HER and us!

I lost my Cody last year as well....my heart is still broken....for all my other babies that came into my life and brightened every single day...I will always mourn for them.

i lost my cat, mittons in 1989 & even tho weve had other pets since then, it never helped. i was 13 when we got him & i was 29 when he passed. so, he was my best friend thru my teens & 20s, now at 50, i still have not regained the faith in god that i once had. & never will! , as thieves , killers, rapist,etc live long & poison our minds. the loyal & oh so faithfull, cat & dog pass on ,& the pain lingers!. mittons fought hard to live with cancer, then he looked me in the eye ,as if to say

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. We have had to put down 2 dogs and 1 cat. . Each time a piece of my heart went to.We had to put Rascal down first. Then Abby our cat. Last May we put our Cocker spaniel Baxter down. Rascal was going blind , he had alot of other problems and he was 15. Abby was only 3 but had feline leukemia. Baxt er was only 11 but was having grand mal seizures and possibly had a brain tumour or stroke. We miss them so much, but now have a little corgi to fill our hearts .TC

Such a beautiful song. I remember when it was first released in '75 or '76. To all that have lost your beloved family member pets like I have, please remember that ALL animals are God's creatures and they ALL go to Heaven where they romp play and get along harmoniously with one another. I terribly miss my beloved Daschund, Welington. You could see his soul in his eyes. If a bigger majority of humans were more like animals there'd be less problems with the world.

Remember that song about Bill "Bojangles" Robinson by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band? There was a line in there that say that he and his dog traveled with the circus all over the South for 15 years and he still grieved about his dog 20 years after his dog died. I've lost so many pets but 3 I rememer most. My little cat Bee. She was so dainty; kidney failure; Thunder OD in surgery; Lady: kidney failure. I sit here with tears in my eyes & I miss them. I know their essence goes on.

I had a dog I once loved very much. His name was Bandit. An old girl friend of mine dumped him off on me. She threw him away just like she did me. I took him because I loved him and I still loved her. I never did see her again, but I had 13 wonderful years with Bandit. When he died, I knew she was gone forever.

We had to have our Cash put down a few days after my last post. I would have let him die on his own if I had to do over again!!! But I realize he was not able to eat, drink or get around so maybe this ended his suffering!!However, he was the best dog we ever had. Never growled at another person or animal. He had a Christ like spirit. In some ways, I think he had the spirit of Christ.!I hope Jesus is enjoying him as much as we did!And I will be happy the day I can see him again.

@brownwoman64 I'm sorry to hear about your sweet dog. You probably did what was best. Roxy didn't show signs of bad pain until her last day. I called our vet for an appt. to have her put down and was waiting for my husband to come home. I stayed with her only leaving her briefly to get something to eat and had my son take over watching her. That's when she took her last breath.

My sister has a lab named Max and in the four years I was staying at her place I got to know him. I watch this video and it makes me think about when his time comes. I know a lot of people will be heartbroken. Anybody who has a dog considers him/her a part of the family. I know Roxy is looking down on us, waiting for us. What a beautiful dog Roxy is.

I remember this dog from the video a couple years back. Sorry to learn that she has passed. I have six dogs buried on my property and each one had a story to tell. This song has always brought tears for the passion it holds about our best friends. I never tire of it. It is said that the worse thing about owning dogs is that they just don't live long enough. But imagine living without them. I'm sure your life is more blessed by taking in that stray 13 yrs ago. Memories for a lifetime.

@teleclasster I can't believe it! you know, I have had your video on my favorites for maybe since you put it on youtube and watched it often. Roxy looked just like my Sassy who passed away in 2002 september 12th. I still miss her and dream with her once in a while. I know she's happy where she's at and no longer in pain. She died of a brain tumor. Roxy, how did it happen? I am so sad and wish you all the best. Only us dog lovers know the pain of departing from our best friends.

Dogs have a spirit and a soul....they truly are man's best friend.
I don't know if Roxy is still with you.....But, always remember that she was YOUR
companion with an unconditional love for you.
I believe that sometimes the dogs pick their owners rather than the other way around.
I truly hope that you won't grieve for too long.....I know she's very happy for all the time that you spent with her and for taking care of her when she needs you the most.

@bidlakbks Roxy is still with us. She can move around from the front to the back of the yard but needs help up and down porch steps. She is eating and enjoying all the attention she gets every evening when she comes in. She has always had a good life with us and was very independent so being dependent was new. She likes to watch us do all our same activities but from a laying down position, head up and alert. She is my best friend. Thanks for your nice words.

@itdoesntmattename Roxy had been limping on a back leg that was not recovering so we took her in for x-rays this week. She has a tumor on her hip and some bone deterioration. We are trying to make her comfortable and not sure how much longer she will be with us. She is getting lots of rest, her favorite foods and lots of love from her family. She showed up at our house 13 years ago and has been the best dog ever. I am so thankful my husband made this video of her 2 years ago.

A pet is the best friend anyone can ever have. They are the friends people are incapable of being these days. They love in a way that humans cant and dont love. Read a story about a dog who stayed by his owner for several weeks after he pasted. When the body was found dog was by his side!! @ironrick46 Glad to hear from someone who also loves animals. I was an only child for about 9 yrs and my pets were my siblings. I remember being different. When the animals passed away, I would hurt so much I thought I was dying. I still love animals very much and always will. Take care and keep in touch. Remember you will see Barron again someday:)

@pocorro In January, Roxy had hurt her spine or shoulder, not sure what happened, and was in a lot of pain. We thought she might need to be on pain medication for the remainder of her life. She responded well to Novox and I took her off of it after 3 weeks and she made a full recovery. She is happy, moving good and still able to go on long walks with us. She is such a fine dog and I'm getting ready to sit out on the front porch with her now. Mrs. Teleclasster

iReally scary how much this vid reminds me of my Missy. I lost her at 16 in '09. She was the smartest dog i've ever had n my family...could get out of any gate or fence. My little girl's ears didn't lift as she was probably more border collie....we'll never know b/c she was a pound puppy. People please love and appreciate you puppies b/c they bring SO much joy into our life and look at us with such a deep caring soul. Roxy continues to amaze us with her energy, given she's around 13. Not like a younger dog, but she still has plenty of spirit. She now likes to come in the house most every night and has never messed up anything, she just lays down in the family room in one spot, and waits for me to let her out at 6:30 am. The whole family enjoys Roxy immensley. Thanks for asking!

I am an animal lover, all animal lovers please stand up and lets put an end to animal abuse, united we can make a difference. Somebody do the math on this one:
I had this song on a 45 RPM record. I decided to make an entire 8 track tape with the song looping over and over (I was what, 17?). I used a 45 minute tape, and set my turntable to repeat. It worked out just perfectly so that if I clicked through the channels the exact same 8-10 seconds of the song would play on all four channels- just enough to play the drum part at the end (or any other similar-length part of the song) all the way through four times.

This song has always had an effect on me. My mother's dog has cancer and will eventually die at only 6. I have my tow dogs;a boxer and spinger spaniel mix and I love them dearly. the dog in this video is so sweet and I hope this is not a portrait of remembrance. All animals should be loved becuase they love uncondistionally. I wish humans could do that.

I lost my beloved dog of 14 years this past December and it's been very hard to deal with. He was a member of our family and is greatly missed.

teleclastter. you sure can tell some one has been mean and bad to her, thank god for people like you who will take good care of Roxy Girl! How is she? Please keep us all informed so we can keep up on this beautiful girl! Has she been abused before you got her? Only you would know. Maybe it's just her demeanor. She truely is a beautiful girl!

About 12 years ago my beloved lab, Blackie, died on our front porch. A few days later 'Roxie'showed up and had clearly been abused. My wife gave her water and some food and she would run like crazy, but kept coming back...she had no where to go.
We adopted her, and it took years to gain her trust. Turned out she was pregnant and had a litter of pups, which we found homes for. She now comes inside on cold nights and never messes a thing up. She has a good life with plenty of land to roam!
