No they aren't . Although I have never taken them apart, when you look into the eye socket of the Fathers sword you can see the handle is made of brass and you can see the full tang (not rat tailed)
I have no desire to have them sharpened, however, I have swung these two around a fair bit.

Which is your Atlantean? It looks pretty exquisite :) I want to pick up one of these but am not sure which 'version' to get.
The Albion versions are BEAUTIFUL indeed. The only problem with them is trying to find one now that they are NO LONGER in production. Have not been for almost two years.
So .. be prepared to not only pay the HEAVY price tag, but also more since they are no longer available. Last few I seen sold for about $4000-$4500

I'm not a weaponry/replica sort of person, but these items encapsulate a bit of chivalric masculinity that isn't sinister or weird. My little boy loves the whole knights and dragon-fighting thing and the new sword is a thing of wonder to him :O)
I have the 20th anniversary Atlantean sword made by Albion. It's more than just a weapon, it's a true work of art! When you hold it in your hands you know you have something special.
I only wish I would have had the float cash. I would have loved to have the Albion Version of the Atlantean and Fathers (Masters) sword.
BUT ... as much as I would hope the Albion versions would be nicer to substantiate the large cost difference, I have to say .... the Marto versions are by now means low end. They are VERY NICE and I would probably have to say "The next best thing"

I know they did make limited versions of the actual movie swords. They looked very realistic and had different handles wrapped with nylon cord i think. And the blades had the scripts carved in rather than printed. Plus they were razor sharp. They made a limited number but im sure theyre long gone now. Very expensive as well.

These both have ETCHED engraving on the blade (like the Albion versions) . Not simply printed. The handle wraps on the father sword in my video is indeed leather wrapped and the Atlantean has the aged nylon/hemp wrapped handle.
I did not want my sharp. They are for display only. Each also comes with a numbered certifcate. The # on the certificate matched the etched (not printed) number on the sword blade as well.

I've been dying to get both those swords. I had originally put a $500 deposit on the Atlantean sword when there were being offered at 1500 back in 2000 or 2001. I can't wait till one pops up on ebay. Albion must have a few left!!!!!

These ones run between $600 - $1000 each depending on the seller. They are the licences Marto Of Spain versions. If you just want to display them , they are PERFECT and affortable.
BUT if I could find an Albion version at a good price .. I'd be all over it.

These are the Marto versions. Depending on where you buy it (they come from spain) , they run between $500 and $1000. They are VERY VERY NICE
