@Haygan9799 Ha ha! Right on! Thanks for all the great feedback on our videos! So, when are you going to come join us in the sky? Give me a call when you have some time so we can set something up: 800-707-2525
Dell, you rock! We ARE buying an RV, and going cross-country, selling our handmade gourmet marshmallows (altfarms.com) and visiting our far-flung relatives, and YOU! I am so glad to find you guys. Can't wait to meet you all, and we hope you have as good of an appetite as you fly, 'cause that's how we rock! Peace, superdudes!
@camobob3467 I talked with the guy who makes them for about an hour explaining how to fix all the issues and design problems with the Green Eagle but it is bazaar how even though they are not even real pilots they think they know how to build an aircraft better then aircraft engineers and experts. So no I definitely would not recommend the unit as they have no concept of even the basics and absolutely refuse to get any input at all from people that do know what they are doing.
@Bados14 Yes for sure gear and training have a ton to do with it. Zero people have ever died on WPPGA Certified Equipment and only 1 RedBull pilot has ever been seriously injured but even he still flies. There are lists and lists and lists of serious injuries & death on the uncertified equipment though. Be smart, stick with WPPGA Certified Equipment and training and fly with at least a little bit of common sense and you are good to go.
@miraclepieco Yes it is extremely important to get the right training and equipment. Sooooo many people are injured because they don't get the right gear. Older paramotors don't have any crumple zone under the pilots butt to absorb impact in a crash and no comfort bars out front to prevent a face plant. If you fly a Flat Top, certified glider and carry a reserve your odds of injury are very very low. Nobody has ever died on a Flat Top.
@kfotoprm Zero people have ever died on the high end equipment like this and only 2 people to date have ever been injured. All the deaths & injuries are from people that didn't get quality equipment and training.
@imasuper0308 You mean to tell me that if your wing tip had touched the ground, (it did, but thankfully for you, not enough) you wouldn't have crashed very hard into it? No matter how high a "spec" your equipment is, or how well you've been trained, paragliding is a very dangerous sport and pushing your luck by doing these "stunts" is just asking for trouble. Sadly, I feel it will be just a matter of time before you end up in a wheel chair (for life) or, we lose you. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.
@kfotoprm I've drug my wing zillions of times and even held it on the ground for 7 full 360 circles. Yes of course you can indeed crash but with a Flat Top paramotor your safety is about 100 times better than in paragliding because of the enormous amount of crumple zone and impact absorbtion of the very specially designed frame & cage. Yes doing crazy stunts is asking for trouble and yes you will crash if you do these enough. Currently to date though there have only been 2 injuries!!
@imasuper0308 Well, respect to you. You obviously now what you're doing. Just don't come "unstuck" chasing a bigger thrill. A warning to anyone who looks at this "vid", do not even think of trying it, leave it to the experts and just enjoy watching it, as I do. Keep safe all.
Hi - Great Video. I`m an Experienced RC pilot with over 1000 Hours and another 500 on full size. I would really like to get a PPG. I`m concerned about low level collapse and not sure which model to buy ? Also. Is there a PPG forum or magazing I can learn from ? Thanks !
This is a Walkerjet RR and the Eris from Sky Paragliders. Yes and no are the answer about your Gold 130 and Windtec. Some of the manuevers are possible on your equipment but some are not. It depends. Very few of them would be recommended to even try on your equipment though because of the high soft hang points. Without the maximum stability it is really easy to get in big trouble and not be able to get out of it. So if you want to fly like SUPERDELL you should get the same gear.
No problem, I'm available anytime for questions. When I was coming up through the ranks there were many many advanced pilots who answered my millions of questions, now I return the favor for others. Call me anytime you have a question as getting answers from people that know what they are doing is very important part of really learning everything there is to know in this sport. It keeps ya safer. Dell 800-707-2525
@jimikestell1 I set the world record at 280 miles on 4 gallons. Yes the standard Flat Top 200 will climb well over 18,000 ft so higher than any mountain in the usa.
@tek5828 No I didn't take oxygen. 18k isn't that bad. Very very cold though. Wind wasn't too bad. Maybe 20 mph. I was wearing jeans lol. Froze my knees. I had acrtic mittens on and still couldn't feel my fingers.
Yes it can but it depends on the canopy. With the new K2 auto stable and fully certified glider you can do that as hard as you want and there is no way it will collapse. So get high end equipment and you do have the very best safety in the sport.
Oh man it is soooo dang much fun you totally have to get into it. Ya gotta get the right equipment and training though or instead of awesome it turns into a nightmare. Give me a call if you like and I can get you pointed in the right direction so you have a total blast!!! Dell 800-707-2525
I noticed your website mentions powered skydiving.....there is nothing about PPG that involves free falling....unless, you have a 3 ring release system and a reserve hooked up. LOL I would love to see that cut-away and reserve deployment!
Dells nuts, but he's got the skills to back up his craziness, and he's put in hours and hours of practise. All you have to do is look at how well the canopy stays positively inflated at all times. His canopy control is superb.
He's a nut and pisses everyone off but most of the time his fault is that he flies better than anyone. Envy kills harder than advanced manouvering. He flies only the best gliders and spends most of his time on the ground keeping his equipment always in top condition.
That is the Eris from Sky Paragliders. Yes it is their most advanced competition glider and probably my favorite gliders I've ever flown. It rules!! Perfect feel, handling, really efficient, safe... That is one seriously nice glider.
The guy that died was likely flying an uncertified glider without proper instruction and didn't have the proper crumple zone below him. There is a lot of crap on the market. Nobody has ever died or been really seriously injured on the PPG design I'm flying in this video. Have him call me immediately at 801-631-1731 and perhaps I can save his life before he gets hooked up with the wrong people.
