Brian Shaffer Missing Ohio State Medical Student

So tragic but I feel most sorry for Derek. They were a family of four, then the mother dies of cancer...sad, next his brother disappears without a trace...really sad and finally his Dad dies in a freak accident....heart wrenching. Derek, if you ever read these posts, please know that America is praying for you. May God richly bless/protect you and Alexis. I know your hearts are broken but take comfort in the fact that they are together again and watching over you. We love you and care.

Could there be a possible connection with the smiley face killings? would seem to be certain similarities, plus a nearby river. Did they speak to the two girls I wonder? being presumably the last known people to have spoken with him.

Seems odd he would leave without saying something to his friends, could he have been enticed out ? to my mind his body language said he was coming right back after speaking with them, if you follow my drift, such a rendevous might explain a degree of secrecy?

Some one MAY have seen something, but then again most persons were prolly drinking, SO... wat about the bar tender.. may she have remembered something.. could she be the girl witht eh dirty blonde hair that may not have been saying everything that she knew. Wat about the jelousy... could that be a reason for motivation.. could this have been commited by some one who knew Brian was leaving with his girl friend soon and decided to do this before they lost the oppportunity.?

even if the owner knew about it, it would be bad for business.. i doubt he would ever say anything. Plus i believe the "kids" open a antoher door that may lead to other clues as to Brians disappearance. .

Brian has been hidden in the bar. Difinatly. I am a phsycic, and I saw a vision (5 seconds) that appeared as Brian being hurt physically and hidden in the building.

The psychic kids also said that there were other men at the club that was jealous of him and that they were watching him from the club balcony when he stood outside the club...

I watched this story on NBC Dateline. How come his friends left without him? They said they looked everywhere inside the bar even the washroom and did not find him. Was the bar owner questioned about this? How can someone use the back entrence if it is under construction if there are people who work there around? It is simply outrageous on how the video cameras show him come in but not coming out. Something happend inside and people that work there along with the bar owner know it!

so i live in ohio and this past weekend, the remnants of hurricane ike hit us and there were around 70 mph winds and his father, randy shaffer, was killed by a tree that fell in his backyard... i feel sorry for his family and for him that he never did get to find out what happened to brian. but i thought id post this up anyway.

Yeah...Brian Shaffer's dad, Randy Shaffer died here in Ohio during the windstorm aftermath of Hurricane Ike that hit on MY birthday 9-14-08. His mom died around time of Brian's disappearance of cancer too.

I wonder about the women he was talking to in the video. They look like they were arguing about something and brian came close to them and they move away. Also does anyone think they left through the big doors with the band playing that night. He could have partied with them and an accident happened and the band was scared to come forward. My mind is racing just to see every possible angle or outlet would be possible. anything really for this family to get some closure. I wish them hope.

When I first seen this, it is the first thing I thought of. Its about a serial killer they call the smiley face killer. He meets dark haired men in bars and they men just DISAPPEAR. When/if the bodies are found, he leaves a smiley face. He has done this all over the US including Ohio. Let me know if you want the info.

Definitely got out through the construction entrance, there are ways to cover up the smell from the dogs. I wish this case would be solved though

get over it. he did not exit that way. why the hell would he want to pull a stunt like that? omg. hes gone. no one disappears like that. everything that happened to him that night was the work of someone out to get him. Yeah, moving on is just not an option for many reasons, just one of which is that a "Severe Crime" may have been commited. I would think a better statement would be that someone who was there needs to come forward, and everyone needs to take a poly, just so all areas are covered.

Move on? Good luck. If you've ever been in his family's position you'd know that its always on your mind, every second. My friend was missing for almost a month and Thank the Lord they found her alive. But that was the longest, sickest month i've experiencced. I cant imagine going years. I will be praying for his family.
