jimmy page did his first years in led zeppelin with a 300 pound guitar and then he got some gibson deal

I'd put Sonny, Eric Johnson, Rory Fkn Gallagher, Mick Taylor, Buddy Guy way way before Mr Clapton, though I like his endless licks and catchy songs

i wouldnt say fender is better. derek trucks makes great use of a gibson. i do like the fact that fenders have 3 pickups. more tones available. but i also like humbuckers. my godin has HSH so im happy. plus it feels like a strat which i like. everyone is different i guess.

All guitars have their place. Some Gibson's aren't great, the same could be said of Fender. The pick-up typles and cofigurations are very different on both, and they both have their placies in music. I love the rich, deep tone of Gibson's and the sharp piercing tone of a Tele. Neither guitar is perfectly suited for everything.

@tommorellorules To say one musician is better than another is pretty retarded. You obviously dont grasp the spirit of music. Masters like Hendrix and Clapton never played to be better than the other. They played so their soul could tell a story. You kids today have no clue what music is really about. It has lost all meaning to you, or you never had it to begin with.

@brimoore2007 Ha. You kids. Bit of a generalization i'd say. Still, I agree with what you are saying. Music is subjective. The "best" guitarists are crazy metal shredders and classical players, doesnt actually mean theyre the BEST- something which is personal, subjective and unfixed.
