I hope the Superman reboot has real fight sequences like this. I liked Superman Returns but it needs some hardcore Superman fighting action against someone of equal strength like the Incredible Hulk movie. Also where was that little girls parents? haha she just showed up out of nowhere in the middle of the street.

Dude. If he took him into space past orbit and past the gravitational pull of any significant piece of matter and left him there he wouldn't be able to move. Nothing to push off of. Better yet throw him into a collision course with the sun. It would just take a very long time, this video would be like a year long. Sounds more like a Dragon Ball Z plot.

the two flaws i have with this is...the fight in general, superman clearly had an advantage fighting up in the air, i would have just kept him up there all day...the movie i was pissed about was they changed how they killed each other, the comics they both put all their last remaining power into one last punch...not that the newer version was not cool but if they are gonna make a movie about that particular fight they should at least get the ending right.

loved the original comics, but this was a litttle bit better because Supes actually used his heat vision and cold breath, instead of trying to take Doomsday punch for punch

@TopGunzTvDMV it was only in the movie they explained this but in the actual comic he died eradicator sensed superman soul's was still lingering and placed his corpse in a regeneration matrix and exposed it to sunlight and eradicator fed off the energy until superman was revived as he was trying to be superman himself
directors commentary explains this brilliantly. In the scene where superman throws doomsday off the helicopter and into the building it was originally animated with the lights on. This meant he killed everybody in that building. They had to reanimate it with the lights off. But the building had pedestrians infront of it who also died. So they had to reanimate it again with those gone. The director then jokes when he hits the city "Oh, by the way, they evacuated that part" =D

@DAYTIME504 What's a bit shameful about the Z-Fighters is that they pretty much put aside all the human characters in favor of the Sayian. I mean... they could pretty much invent any kind of sidepocket powers to make both heroes and villains stronger and make the battle longer, but it doesn't stop them from throwing down Krillin and Tenshinhan, who are more interesting. I know a friend who would LOVE to see Yamsha kick arses for a change.

There's been many interpretations of Superman VS Doomsday; yet nothing compares to the epic that is the comic book original story line. I've read it so many times that each time anything differs from it I become a depressed comic-book reader. LOL

Doomsday beat the hell out the Justice League,leaving Supes on his own. Superman tried to keep Doomsday away from Metropolis,but he was unstoppable. Once there the fight had to be there. As for super speed,Doomsday apparently was as fast as he was strong. Besides,by the time the battle reached Metropolis, Superman was tired,badly hurt & not nearly as fast.

In one cimic I saw that takes place after Supeman's death by Doomsdau and his rebirth. Doomsday (who is strapped to an asteroid in the book) recovers and is brought to Apocalips were Superman encounters him again. The comic shows Doomsday is the only villian Superman actually fears because he once died to stop the monster.
the hulk would without question match strength with doomsday. but for how long is the real question. doomsday could probably keep up the pace of a power fight well beyond the hulk. i think hulk would tire out after a while. what do u think?

excellent fight Doomsday is something that nobody wants to deal with. But like usual when you go up against superman at the peaks of his power, you find out that he stands alone.
This is without a doubt one of the most spectacular fight scenes ever animated. :)
That said, the only question running through my mind is, "why did he take Doomsday back down to Metropolis for the final impact?" Who knows HOW many people were killed as collateral damage from their fight already, but that last explosion could have killed THOUSANDS more. This is why you should AVOID fighting supervillains in cities. >_>

One thing that Marvel investigated was, can a "normal" person who is a master of Aikido stand against the Hulk (turns out, they can)? I would have loved to see that against Doomsday.

@DAYTIME504 What's a bit shameful about the Z-Fighters is that they pretty much put aside all the human characters in favor of the Sayian. I mean... they could pretty much invent any kind of sidepocket powers to make both heroes and villains stronger and make the battle longer, but it doesn't stop them from throwing down Krillin and Tenshinhan, who are more interesting. I know a friend who would LOVE to see Yamsha kick arses for a change.

Doomsday beat the hell out the Justice League,leaving Supes on his own. Superman tried to keep Doomsday away from Metropolis,but he was unstoppable. Once there the fight had to be there. As for super speed,Doomsday apparently was as fast as he was strong. Besides,by the time the battle reached Metropolis, Superman was tired,badly hurt & not nearly as fast.

In one cimic I saw that takes place after Supeman's death by Doomsdau and his rebirth. Doomsday (who is strapped to an asteroid in the book) recovers and is brought to Apocalips were Superman encounters him again. The comic shows Doomsday is the only villian Superman actually fears because he once died to stop the monster.

This is without a doubt one of the most spectacular fight scenes ever animated. :)
That said, the only question running through my mind is, "why did he take Doomsday back down to Metropolis for the final impact?" Who knows HOW many people were killed as collateral damage from their fight already, but that last explosion could have killed THOUSANDS more. This is why you should AVOID fighting supervillains in cities. >_>
