I had an ACL & meniscus repaired two days ago and it hurts like hell. I don't feel like the pain medication does enough. So how long does it take to be able to walk without any help.
I'm 4 weeks post op now. I thought exactly the same as you. However that brace you held up, I didn't get one of those. I feel I'm doing well with all movements, have been without crutches, but after saying all that, my knee still hurts if I'm on it too much and I still have to be careful. Keep up the rehab and pain relief, most important for people who have just had acl surgery, it gets better. My goal is to go back to playing Squash.
@nztanestyles Hey. Stay committed to the rehab. Don't push it! I'm 8 months post op and i still have some knee stiffness when i have my knee flexed for a considerable amount of time (like driving)...But this is SLOWLY easing off. Just be patient. Thats what i kept telling myself...lol Good luck!
I had medial and lateral meniscus repair and ACL reconstruction. I'm 3wks and 4 days post op and have -20 extension and struggle to get 80% flexion. Like you, I'm afriad that something is wrong in there and I will never get back to where I was. I'm in pain all the time still. I was in the hospital for 9 days with pnemonia and bloodclots and excessive pain in my knee and to this day I'm still having trouble sleeping. I'd be interested to see what your like now. Thanks for the video.
i had acl and lateral meniscus tear as well and its gonna be 4 weeks after surgery in 2 days, and man i felt the same, really bad the first few days and thankful for wat i have, and i can only straighten it to 7 degees and 87 degrees so far which is not good apparently, just wanna be able to walk again!
