  • great performance..

  • She's a great performer. Perfect !!

  • 4:13-05:06 i cant explain its just beauty,confidence,truth......oohhhh

  • @sac3rex ...it's called "Sibelius music" and it's all very difficult to describe in words!!!

  • I prefer Oistrakh's version more!

  • I don't think she lost the 'fun and excitement.' maybe it's more introverted. the music is still there. :)

  • Brilliant, apart from (I thought anyway) 5:49 wasn't explosive enough :/ That, and the last 2 minutes of this Movement should always send you to hell :L My opinion anyway :)

  • @paanyax what orchestra is this?

  • @NarnianViolinist Philharmonia Orchestra from London

  • that is an amazing violin. so silky, powerful, clear, and even across all strings.

  • many people say her technique is better but everyone say she looks beautiful that's most precious thing!

  • i like her violin sound very much!!

  • this is hot

  • This song is the most beautiful classical song I've ever heard. Go Sibelius!

  • soo beutiful. i wish i played like that even though i know i could if i tried enough...

  • Exquisite!

  • Although i may admit she was alot better in the Tch aikovsky contest...she is still really amazing....she gave me chills and i absolutley love it. i love her vibrato and her movements.

  • One of the best violinists in the world... top 10

  • This is amazing..wtf are ppl saying. Loved it. She's a professional and you're not so shut up.

  • Some notes weren't the most in tune, and I don't quite understand why she's using her shoulder in her bow arm. Other than that, this performance is fabulous and the interpretation is great.

  • There is undoubtedly a very high-quality ethos underlying this level of skill.

  • i love her bow strokes

  • Ah, the critics! She sounds pretty good to me; actually, fairly close to Heifetz who, last I knew, still "owns" this. But what do I know? Thanks to Paanyax for sharing this.

  • This is gonna sound strange but I love listening to the click her bow makes when she changes the direction of her bow at 00:45 and on.

  • this is the most difficult concerto in the world

  • @galexwong you haven't try Wienaiwski 1st...

  • The Sibelius Concerto is harder I think. The first movement is almost recitative-like. It is very difficult to interpret. The Wienaiwski is difficult technically, but very simple in its interpretation.

  • @snowmen10 in terms of technique, Wieniawski 1st is harder than sibelius, but Sibelius is harder to interprete

  • They put all the hot chicks right behind her! : >

  • que tecnica mas precisa, ella es perfecta,a mi me encanta por sobre todo su tecnica violinistica

  • her bowing got better, her technique got better, and so did her phrasing.

but something is missing compared to her back in the tchaik competition. I feel she is technically "better" now, but she lost that feeling of excitement and fun.

  • @sijas Not sure what you are talking about. Don't play the words, kiddo!

Phrasing or bowing is the inseparable part of the expression or interpretation. If you can't get it, then you just can't get it. Playing words doesn't help you.

  • @sijas I bet that the "connoisseurs" like you stole that from her.

  • @sijas i guess it's because that this concerto itself got too many different transcriptions. Almost everyone got one's point to it and yours is just different from hers.

  • @sijas

I almost feel the opposite about this. I think her technique has gotten slightly less, but her sound as a musician has improved. She's much more mature now, not just a mindless technique monger. I think she's finally relaxing a bit and not practicing like a madwoman for these competitions.

  • @Jeremyamoto What a retarded assumption. Sorry but that is all.

  • @NimbleTurtle13

Not saying I'm right, but that's the impression I get from her current playing when compared to her in the competition years. This is a fantastic performance and if I feel more of her soul coming out in this instead of technical superficiality, what qualifies you to tell me that what I feel is wrong? I think the loan of the Dolphin Strad made her grow as well. When one has an instrument like that, one can't help but explore every musical facet of this piece.

  • @Jeremyamoto I actually agree with u. I keep listening to her cuz her music improved a lot but technical wise, she isn't as perfect as she used to be

  • @sijas Maybe its just a little bit of her interpretation speaking.. I don't know... just a guess
