Gay Pride Parades are for promoting tolerance. Gays have been tortured and tormented and shunned by their communities just for being who they are. They're also to promote awareness on Gay Youth Suicides. Gay teens have been opting to kill themselves due to the lack of support and overwhelming amount of stress and hate. When this all happens to straight people, THEN you can have your straight parade. Pride Parades seems outlandish, but there's a meaning behind it all.
According to a senior customer service representative at Target named Bobbi, there's not a Target store in Citrus Heights, CA (even though there obviously is). They said that they supported these peoples' right to protest against gay people two feet from their entrance on private property, and that they also supported such anti-gay organizations as The Salvation Army. If you'd like to tell them how much they suck, I'll leave the contact info in another post.

I do so love the hypocrisy of some Christians (note that I am saying 'christians' as in the people, not the actual religion). Two things, (1) the bible says judge not lest ye be judged. Some people need to really remember that. (2) This is one the perfect examples how how freedom of speech is a double edge sword. I in no way agree with what these people are saying, or doing for that matter. However, they are within their legal rights to do both.
Now that I have been calm and rational about all this, can I just say: "what the fuck?" Homosexuality is not a sin. The only place the bible talks about homosexuality is in Leviticus. Its one line: "Man shall not lie with man" or something to that effect. Here's the thing, these kinds of people normally believe that the Bible is literal and not metaphorical.
Which means that this verse means either man as in mankind (meaning nobody can have sex) or man as in the male gender (meaning gay men are going to hell, but the lesbians are okay). Either way? I do so love the hypocrisy of some Christians (note that I am saying 'christians' as in the people, not the actual religion). Two things, (1) the bible says judge not lest ye be judged. Some people need to really remember that. (2) This is one the perfect examples how how freedom of speech is a double edge sword. I in no way agree with what these people are saying, or doing for that matter. However, they are within their legal rights to do both.

Now that I have been calm and rational about all this, can I just say: "what the fuck?" Homosexuality is not a sin. The only place the bible talks about homosexuality is in Leviticus. Its one line: "Man shall not lie with man" or something to that effect. Here's the thing, these kinds of people normally believe that the Bible is literal and not metaphorical.

Which means that this verse means either man as in mankind (meaning nobody can have sex) or man as in the male gender (meaning gay men are going to hell, but the lesbians are okay). Either way? Stupid. People like this really piss me off. A person's religious beliefs are a private matter, meaning don't shove them in my face and don't for one second think you are representing the whole of your religion.
