I remember trying this, the kids that held on got slammed into fences and were bleeding all over, and dang they were little it was just nasty, i tried when i was like six, but they gave me a shaved sheep and nothing to hold onto so i just let go, i didnt want to end up like them.. looked way to painful, the sheep were nice afterwards though, really adorable little things!
Child abuse? I suppose under your own definition school wrestling is child abuse because some of the kids that lose are unhappy and might get bruised. Now don't get me wrong I support many of your videos, but child abuse does not exist here.
@MyNameIsAwes0me Really? You think parents putting tots onto sheep for their own jollies is okay? The parents of the seven year old who was paralyzed when a sheep dumped her and stepped on her spine would now disagree that there's anything useful, fun or harmless in this unnecessary 'event'. Sad that a child had to pay their price, but this is all about the 'adults' laughing at their kids hanging onto a scared animal.
@wyattmcgill83 None of the kids in this video look happy, especially the children that need to be carried off. So, thank you for admitting this is child abuse.
I could have sworn we as a race sharing this planet, we were evolving. More so in the past 100 years over any other 'known' time in history. People that can watch this garbage and not see the issues (many of them) need to take stock of their lives and stop thinking of themselves.
No wonder its the rednecks always claiming to be 'abducted' by aliens and probed, they are the perfect candidates for a little torment themselves :P
its a way of life get the fuck over it u dumb city people grow some balls. I use to love doing this as a kick and so did my family member no one forced us! We chose to do it
@heathersmith087 Doesn't take balls to jump on a sheep and terrorize it. Nor does it take balls for a parent to allow a child to make the decision whether or not they want to torment an animal.
Sheep may not be the biggest or strongest of cattle but they still pack a powerful punch. What's the use of those helmets if one of those kids gets trampled on the arm, leg, torso, or abdomen?
I say again you guys are dumb u don't under stand our cind of life. Here I am a acra bull rider and getting ready to have a baby and have neices wanting to mutton bust. I just have one thing to say to u shut the fuck up and grow the fuck up and go back to the god damn city
MY 2 YEAR OLD MOUNTED MY GREAT DANE WHILE SHE WAS LAYING DOWN,WHEN THERE WAS A KNOCK AT THE DOOR THE DOG TOOK OFF WITH MY DAUGHTER ON HER,SHE WAS HURT BADLY AND THAT WAS BY MY HOUSE PET...WHY WOULD YOU PUT A CHILD ON A LIVESTOCK ANIMAL?
Ok, I honestly don't see this as child abuse. I mean yeah if the kid is under the age of 7 then I don't think they should do this for the meer fact of the size of the sheep, and they shouldn't be over the age of 9 because of the children being to big for the sheep. However, it is the parents and childs decision and I know children just wanna do whatever, but if the parent is responsible enough they would tell the child that they could get hurt and they might cry. maybe that would change its mind
1. Notice how you never think about the sheep, and give nothing but excuses about the children.
2. Notice how you seemed to be an expert as to what the appropriate age for such activity is, and how you conveniently don't consider the parents of the other children thinking the same.thing.
3. Notice how you don't think children should have a voice, claiming children have the capability know what they are getting involved with..
4. Notice that you referred to a human child as IT.
Are you goint to keep ignoring the fact that kids get hurt doing many other things as well?? Like riding a 4 wheeler, riding a bike, riding a pony at the petting zoo, climbing a tree, playing baseball!. Or are you too proud to admit that this whole ordeal here is not a very good argument for child abuse?
@25mtcowboy Child and animal abuse. Kids falling off going under hooves, animals coming out of the gate unable to stand from the weight having to drag back legs. If it's not injurious why are kids being carried? Why are the looking for hugs to soothe them and feel safe after the ordeal?
Balther all you want about other ways children get hurt, but there's no denying this is an unnecessary and injurious activity for children.
I'm not sure what I learned, but it helped me to have a greater love and respect for them because the sheep were able to carry a kid it made me realize the power something like a bull could have. There is a weight limit no matter how old you are. I do not agree with all rodeo. I just do not feel like this should be child abuse. A child could hurt themselves riding down the sidewalk. I got hurt more falling off a bike onto concrete then off a sheep into dirt. I see np one mad about bike riding.
No direspect to anyone but this is not child abuse. I like most of SHARKS videos and agree with them. But these kids chose to ride the sheep. I did the mutton busttin two years in a row and did not get hurt. I wanted to do it and it was really fun. I wish I could still do it but I'm 14 now and too old. Just speaking from my own expirience.
@1965Powerwagon "these kids chose to ride the sheep" Do you see how young the kids are in this video? If they wanted to play in traffic, or play with matches, or play with daddy's gun, do you think that's their choice? That they should be allowed to do so regardless of any consequences?
@SHARKonlineorg So you're comparing riding sheep to playing in the street? Seems like two things completely different. Did you know they did this as far back as accient Greece? Lets see, riding a sheep that is no taller than 4 feet tall, kids wearing a vest and helmet. Now, car that weighs a ton driving down the street vs kid. Wonder which one I would choose? Tell me, if this is child abuse. Tell me this, why do those kids, after riding a sheep, have a grin from ear to ear?
@25mtcowboy We'll make this simple. You said a small child made the choice to ride sheep. Do you think such a young age can determine whether or not it's really the right or safe thing to do? Do they realize the consequences? Do they know other children have been paralyzed from this? Research that, it's true. In comparison, if a small child wanted to play in traffic, would his/her rodeo parents say: You decide, little one.
•Sexual - fondling, the showing of private parts by an adult, sexual intercourse, oral and anal sex, forcing a child to watch while others have sexual intercourse, incest, pornography.
•Neglect - absence of adequate food, shelter, emotional and physical security, and medical care
@25mtcowboy By your choice of subjective definition then, you approve of locking children in closets for hours, days, on end as punishment. You approve of twisting/breaking children's arms and/or legs. You approve of giving young children guns and matches to play with, etc. that's not in Webster's list. Why are you not saying you approve of letting them play bull poker? Come on, let's hear your approval of that, because it's not in Webster's.
@SHARKonlineorg How is that saying I approve of that? All I said was, "hey, here's the definiton of child abuse according to webster" now you're reaching. Do tell me, cause I want to hear this, how is that me saying I approve of breaking a child's leg or arms???
@SHARKonlineorg In the rodeo I did this in you had to be 7-9. My parents did not make me enter and I actually had to beg them to let me. It's not like your falling off a bull. You fall like 2 feet to the ground into dirt. DIdn't hurt at all. The sheep did not run very fast and the worst I got was a hole in my jeans. I don't play with matches or play with guns other than a BB gun with my dad watching. Niether do my siblings who rode too.
So its better to eat sheep than ride them?? Last time I checked, eating them required killing them. Isn't that abuse as well? Or am I mistaken? The sheep aren't hurt in this event. No spurs or the ever dreaded flank strap. What has this world come too?! Riding....SHEEP! Oh my god! Stop the presses!
#1 they volunteer or pay to do that #2 theyll learn 2 hang on the next time and i know you can video freakin rodeos cuz ive videoed mutton bustin without sneckin in some stupid before so freakin get over it!!
my little cousin jus did this at our rodeo last summer and he thought it was the best thing ever! its not abuse to have a kid fall, if you think this way then do you think its abuse when a kid falls off thier two wheel bike for the first maybe second time?? its the same thing!! they have a certin weight limit for the sheep saftey and they fall on dirt like wth have you ever got a bruse or cut ya know you dont die from shit like that so jus fuck off us rodeoers!!
My mom would have never never EVER let me do that. I mean sure, some mums are more afraid of things like this than others but in something like this there great injuries could occur. Also, from what I've read and heard of "comboys and cowgirls" they all seem to lack empathy. I would blame the parents for this, since they are the ones teaching them violence is ok.
.they only fall 1 foot. how are they getting abused. usually the little kids want to do it. the parents dont force them. and id do agree that some sports are abusive(calf tiedown roping)
@PaperforSilver We've seen numerous children injured. This isn't a sport, it's combination of child and animal exploitation for the laughs of drunks. Let the kids learn a real sport.
i chose to ride sheep and it was ok clowns are in the arena to help people really this is what i got to say sharkonline org you need to go and kiss rodeos ass and mine to you stupid mother fuckers thier is nothing hurting the kids or animals in rodeo so what they bleed a little and get a mouth full of dirt they will liv e through it now i ride bulls and broncs im not scared anymore and it is my coice wen i want to ride and wen i dont want to ride all you rodeo haten mother fuckers can go to hell
from how far away you sneak in and sneak out how do you know these kids dont wanna do this you dont like i said you have absolutely no facts to back up wat is said in this video never seen a kid forced to enter in my life they have a blast doing it get up close and talk to some of them then tell me how true this video is but you wont do that will you
you have been called out many times to go to a rodeo you are scared kids that do this want to do this but you wouldnt know that because you are scared of the truth this is just another one of your nonsense videos that have no factual backup at all steve you are a joke ill agree animals being hurt on purpose is not cool but this takes it a little to far i rodeo and all this video is is just another way for you to attack something you know nothing about
How confusing. I watched a video of a mother who threw her infant to the pavement on purpose and that was child abuse. Yet, other parents can strap their baby to a large sheep so the baby can be thrown to the ground. What's the difference? Must be the sheep.
The kids choose to ride the sheep. They fall around two feet to the ground. They're surprised, and some are scared, but so was I the first time I fell off of a horse. I was crying, I didn't quite understand why the pretty mare decided to buck in the warm up arena. I wasn't abused, I rode that mare in that show because I wanted to. Neither are they, they wanted to ride the sheep. You remind me sickeningly of PETA.
@themysteriouskiller ""The kids choose to ride the sheep."" Look at these little kids. Little more than toddlers. You think they have the capability of choosing what's right or wrong?
In Holland we protect kids to ride horses. They can't have horseridinglessons untill their 8 because it is not good for the body. And you just let them be trown on the ground?
@themysteriouskiller LOL you make me laugh! really! i have a 2 year old AND a 5 year old and i know ptrapping them to the back of a sheep IS WRONG even if the wanted too i wouldn't let them in the UK we are not alowed to smack our children! let alone shout at them! this is cruel and you have no morral's, i am ashamed to be of the same Race as people like you and the people in this video! YOU MAKE ME SICK!
People say it's the kids choice. I wonder about that. The child may have the choice but lets not forget that they don't want to let their parents down. Boys may be more at risk of this too because they are probably expected to be 'tough' and 'brave.'
While I will not disagree that Illinois is corrupt, you need not look any further than Obama for that. This is not child abuse. I didn't see any "hardly more than infants" out there. This is fun for most kids, for others their first ride is their last. I wonder why this group isn't attacking PETA. Here is a little known fact PETA doesn't want you to know, in 2009 of 2,366 animals PETA received .38% were adapted out, 97% were KILLED by PETA the rest were transferred.
@schroyerta We'll continue to expose rodeo for its abuses no matter how much rodeo supporters want to deflect our efforts.
If you have a problem with PETA, take it up with them. What are you doing about them besides stating facts they make no effort to either hide or excuse?
@SHARKonlineorg If they are making no effort to hide it, why can I not find it on their web cite? I have taken it up with PETA. Their explanation was like listening to a politician dance around a simple yes or no question. I do wish you would allow other post debating issues your videos portray. It could be an outstanding debate topic. I also like that you don't reply with foul language, as many do.
@schroyerta We don't post videos for debate or opinion. We document abuses and let the public know who is doing it/supporting it and what they can do about it.
REALLY DUDE!!!! CHILD ABUSE OMG THIS IS WHY OUR COUNTRY IS GOING TO PISS B/C OF THE STUPID SHIT LIKE THIS IT'S NOT ABUSE I GREW UP DOING MUTTON BUSTIN IT'S FUN OMG ON MY FARM WHEN I WAS A KID THAT WAS JUST FUN.
@comanchescwgrl2010 Thank you for demonstrating the pattern that those who abuse or are indifferent to animals as youngsters grow into someone with a blight of an attitude just like yours.
Okay well I'll have you know I rescue and take care of injure and sick animals all the time I'm a vet. So you judge with out knowing. In fact I've done vet work for many rodeos, horse shows etc.. and I've only had 1 or 2 horses ever have an injury and those were barrel horses or show jumpers. And they were basic injuries.
@comanchescwgrl2010 Suddenly you're a vet. What's the contact information for your business? Your DVM license number? You can PM it if you don't want anyone else to know you're out there 'taking care of animals'.
Those kids should be at least 8 or 10. I rode broncs and roped. And started at 10. That's young enough. I never did agree to seeing 3 and 4 year old kids out there. But... I said nothing and that's bad too.
Um ... jack ... were not calling the whole community fucked up, just the people who agree with this, pay for this, ride these animals, breed these animals, take care of these animals, the parents of these kids, the officials, people who don't care a damn thing. Trey boy ... you seriously think a two year old is gonna jump up and say ' I WANNA FALL OFF A SHEEP MOMA ! ' haha, great joke, loved it.
@TheKiwiiz yeah the kids do want to do this and they are having fun , . I have a question what if your dog is horny and there is no female around would you not want to be cruel and just jack off the dog ????????
i did this when i was like 9 but i signed up and wanted to do it. but these kids are little and to little to sign up i cant believe their parents would do this
I live in Wauconda. It is a nice community. I admit that this is a little wrong but please sir, do not call our community corrupt. Reporters like you are trained to make certain people or places look bad. How about all of the amazing volunteering our community
@SHARKonlineorg I am not saying that mutton busting is right. I disagree strongly too, but you make it sound like all wauconda citizens don't care. I have never gone to the rodeo and more that 90% of the wauconda people i know haven't. In fact, i have never heard of mutton busting until i watched this video. You are stereotyping the wauconda citizens.
@jack18232d Now that you know, what will you do about it when it comes back to town next July? Will you and the 90% of people you know make your voices heard against it?
I must believe that SHARK made this film on photoshop or Lucas Films animation studios. No parent in his/her right minds would subject babies to this abuse. Are there any right-minded adults in this town? Or are they afraid to protest this abusive behavior. No wonder the U.S. is on that slippery slope to becoming a third world country.
@hpylori7 This is actual footage at a rodeo. Read some of the comments below. They're from people who not only support this abusive nonsense, but claim they participated in it and see nothing wrong with it.
Some even go so far as to say it's the child's decision to do this, not the parents.
I believe what they are trying to say is... that this is so shocking, disturbing, and out of this world.. that they wish they could believe that it is fake, that you made it up... Rather than have to believe that any parent would subject their child to such abuse.
@SHARKonlineorg i did mutton busting as a kid at 3-6 and they dont use bike helmets anymore they use apporved helmets theyre crying because they were in shock and most of the time there crying because they lost!
Children, unfortunately, are too often placed in danger by mentally unstable parents. Children are not allowed to make decisions, which is why a parent has to sign for them for medical care, and all other legal and social issues. So how can a 1 to 5 year old make this barbaric decision? This is like the Romans cheering on the helpless Christians in the coliseum. Bad for children, shameful for adults.
We are not made out of glass, we can take some injuries, even kids.
I agree with many of your points on many of your videos, but this one is kind of... ridiculous. Seriously, child abuse? The rodeo clowns even lift them from the ground as shown in this video, they care about them (Kinda) . Anyways, children cry for nothing, it's not a big deal.
this is F***ING ridiculous!!! this is not child abuse, the children choose to do this, and the parents and ppl involved do care.. how can you say they are pretending. This infuriates me!!!!!
If the children really WANT to take part in this, is another question entirely though. A lot of them look like they are four or five - and that is clearly too young to do stuff like this. Their parents are invested in rodeo - but they should think about their children. Of corse the child will say "AGAIN! I want to do it again!" But parents should draw the line somewhere, no matter how invested they are themselves.
Ok. I've fallen off a sheep myself when I was a kid and that is really NOT painfull. A sheep weights next to nothing so a "paniced sheep" is hardly an life threatening opponent. They are NOT agressive in any way and will just run away after you have fallen off their back. I agree with most of the stuff you SHARK guys post, but THIS is just blown out of proportion.
@0Samaire0 And yet children are stepped on, injured, at least one publicized paralysis. The threatening opponent isn't the sheep, it's the grownups who don't take such injuries into consideration.
You make it sound like the parents are making the kids do it. Like a few other people commenting on this video I also did mutton busting. I always wanted to get on more even if I did get stepped on. It builds character and toughness. Also, how can you say they are "pretending" to console the hurt children? Do you know their intentions? No. Also, your stereotyping rodeo people makes me sick. How many rodeo people do you really know to base your judgments off of?
@ALcowboy08 Character and toughness? Riding a running sheep does that? Building character has absolutely nothing to do with this mutton busting. Being tough doesn't always mean how much punishment you take. Being tough is also saying no to cruelity to animals and children shown doing this. Being tough is doing the right thing when you have people calling and threatening your life because you show this to the real world for what it is. This is neighter character building or toughness.
Very easy for human kids to sustain long-term life-altering cervical damage. protecting skull is one thing - what about the ability to walk by twisting their developing c-spines. I wonder, if at a later date, a class-action suit could be organized...
@matyuede11 No, it's NOT. The real "Old West" has nothing to do with the rodeo circus. "Real" cowboys from back in the day would probably deck you for saying something like that.
@matyuede11 No it doesn't. It shows how we as humans have no respect for animals. How we as humans look down on God's creations. Wow now that's a real pasttime for ya!
this is terrible for many reasons, the children get seriously hurt the animals arnt meant to be ridden, and its just encouraging the next generation to be heartless umans who dnt realise animals feel pain and anguish
WELL FIRST OF ALL...YALL ARE YANKEES..THIS IS NOT CHILD ABUSE..THIS IS TRAINING FOR BULL RIDING, AND POSSIBLY STEER WRESTLING...WHEN I WAS ABOUT 3... I MADE IT MY DREAM TO WANNA BE A PRO BULL RIDER..UNFORTUNATELY IM 13 AND HAVE STILL NEVER RODE A SHEEP...NO ONE I KNOW HAS THEM..ECAUSE YOU YANKEES HAD TO COME TO MY LIL TOWN AND SCREEW IT ALL UP AND GET LIVE STOCK BANS...THIS IS NOT CHILD ABUSE MANY OF THESE KIDS BEG TO GET BACK ON AFTER THEY NGET OFF..ITS A LIFESTYLE NOT A CONTEST
@PAPAELF1996 You're just too ignorant to know any better. Children of this age do not have the mental capacity to contemplate the risks in doing this. It's the parent's job to protect them, not turn them into a form of entertainment.
@PAPAELF1996 wow is your capitals supposed to threaten us, or is your bad grammar supposed to do that job, is it wrong for me to feel sympathy for you. My mom would rather die then this happen to me. And if I have kids i will have them watch SHARK's videos and make sure they are intelligent and civilised people who have HEARTS and don't sit in front of a computer putting stupid comments. I suggest you grow up.
its not just yankees seeing as alot of the nations top nprca, nfr, and dodge finals rodeo circuit come from the north.. seems like there are better "yankee" cowboys than whatever the heck you want to call the southern dwellers of this country
@PAPAELF1996 Maybe you should try getting an education and not worry about being a pro bull rider. You already can't spell and you make no valid points in your so called arguement. This is child abuse. If I was to spank my child and leave a bruise on them in any way, I would be arrested for child abuse. What's the difference? Put your child on a the back of a frightened animal to get hurt or spanking? Either way simple child abuse.
The irony in your voice just makes the message stronger, personaly I'd never forgive my mom and dad if they put me in that situation. Thankfully I live in Sweden
The parents of these innocent children should be ashamed of themselves.not only can the frightened sheep get hurt, but the child could suffer internal injuries as well as external injuries. What kind of parents do this? Sheesh, even today I am phobic about my kids going outside and gettin bitten by snakes & other wildlife they rescue,. but to see this, where is Defacts or CPS? There should be a law against putting children in harms way of frightened and scared animals that are forced to do this.
I'm a big fan of your organisation against animal abuse, i'm only 14 years old, but i know perfectly fine what my task in life is.
It is to help animals, being a vet that actually can help these poor animals that cant protect them selfs against abusers.
It makes me think, how far in this world has people come? Now i might seem like a "rascist" to rodeo people, but in other videos (also this) not just animals are hurt, their actually hurting people.
Who's parents would allow their kids to get "abused"? Actually the parents don't force them to ride the sheep, they do it because they want to. And if they get hurt it was their fault for wanting to do it. I went mutton busting and fell off also, and it hurt but it didn't kill me. And it definitely did not abuse me. Actually it is fun. And the sheep have nothing on them forcing them to run, they run because usually they have a heard of the sheep at the end of the coral.
in a way these kids have probably grown up around animals and doing some of this stuff at there own farms, or ranches. Its just a different lifestyle. Its just as dangerous as playing a contact sport like football. But I have watched other abuse videos by shark, like tazing the animals and that is just wrong!
Well, I started riding horses when I was 4, and I took an awful lot of spills. Does that mean I was the victim of child abuse? I still ride over 20 years later. I also participated in Mutton Busting and then Bronc Breaking (bronc riding 2 year old horses) when I hit about 10 years old. I loved it, and just because I cried because I got hurt or didnt do well, it doesnt make it my parents fault. I loved it.
ive watched a few of these shark videos and they seem pretty legitimate but this is a little stupid how is this more dangerous then letting your kids play football knowing the long term affects of football and brain damage
@futuremidwtchamp07 Aside from the injuries, it teaches children that animals are objects to be used for stupid human games. Read the comments from those who say this is good fun and they grew up doing it. They're still supporting rodeo animal abuse.
@SHARKonlineorg but not every rodeo is like hey lets kill and abuse these animals because i was involved in rodeos for a bit and it wasnt like that but it is sad that people lets those things happen. do you do anything to combat dog fighting
@futuremidwtchamp07 Thanks for your post. We abhor dogfighting; however there are organizations that focus on them. We focus our resources on rodeo and pigeon shoots.
cmon, these rednecks dont know any better. thats why the animals are worth more than they are. feel bad that the kids have to grow up thinking animal abuse is ok., but hey, what else would u expect from a redneck parent?
I remember trying this, the kids that held on got slammed into fences and were bleeding all over, and dang they were little it was just nasty, i tried when i was like six, but they gave me a shaved sheep and nothing to hold onto so i just let go, i didnt want to end up like them.. looked way to painful, the sheep were nice afterwards though, really adorable little things!

hickbaby13 9 months ago
@hickbaby13
So1othurn 9 months ago
Are you goint to keep ignoring the fact that kids get hurt doing many other things as well?? Like riding a 4 wheeler, riding a bike, riding a pony at the petting zoo, climbing a tree, playing baseball!. Or are you too proud to admit that this whole ordeal here is not a very good argument for child abuse?
25mtcowboy 9 months ago
@25mtcowboy Child and animal abuse. Kids falling off going under hooves, animals coming out of the gate unable to stand from the weight having to drag back legs. If it's not injurious why are kids being carried? Why are the looking for hugs to soothe them and feel safe after the ordeal?
Balther all you want about other ways children get hurt, but there's no denying this is an unnecessary and injurious activity for children.
SHARKonlineorg 9 months ago
I'm not sure what I learned, but it helped me to have a greater love and respect for them because the sheep were able to carry a kid it made me realize the power something like a bull could have. There is a weight limit no matter how old you are. I do not agree with all rodeo. I just do not feel like this should be child abuse. A child could hurt themselves riding down the sidewalk. I got hurt more falling off a bike onto concrete then off a sheep into dirt. I see np one mad about bike riding.

SHARKonlineorg 9 months ago
No direspect to anyone but this is not child abuse. I like most of SHARKS videos and agree with them. But these kids chose to ride the sheep. I did the mutton busttin two years in a row and did not get hurt. I wanted to do it and it was really fun. I wish I could still do it but I'm 14 now and too old. Just speaking from my own expirience.
1965Powerwagon 9 months ago
@1965Powerwagon "these kids chose to ride the sheep" Do you see how young the kids are in this video? If they wanted to play in traffic, or play with matches, or play with daddy's gun, do you think that's their choice? That they should be allowed to do so regardless of any consequences?
SHARKonlineorg 9 months ago
@SHARKonlineorg So you're comparing riding sheep to playing in the street? Seems like two things completely different. Did you know they did this as far back as accient Greece? Lets see, riding a sheep that is no taller than 4 feet tall, kids wearing a vest and helmet. Now, car that weighs a ton driving down the street vs kid. Wonder which one I would choose? Tell me, if this is child abuse. Tell me this, why do those kids, after riding a sheep, have a grin from ear to ear?
25mtcowboy 9 months ago
@25mtcowboy We'll make this simple. You said a small child made the choice to ride sheep. Do you think such a young age can determine whether or not it's really the right or safe thing to do? Do they realize the consequences? Do they know other children have been paralyzed from this? Research that, it's true. In comparison, if a small child wanted to play in traffic, would his/her rodeo parents say: You decide, little one.
SHARKonlineorg 9 months ago
@SHARKonlineorg Definition of child abuse according to webster: •Physical - hitting, shaking, burns, human bites, strangulation.
•Emotional - constant disapproval, belittling, constant teasing.
•Sexual - fondling, the showing of private parts by an adult, sexual intercourse, oral and anal sex, forcing a child to watch while others have sexual intercourse, incest, pornography.
•Neglect - absence of adequate food, shelter, emotional and physical security, and medical care
25mtcowboy 9 months ago
@25mtcowboy By your choice of subjective definition then, you approve of locking children in closets for hours, days, on end as punishment. You approve of twisting/breaking children's arms and/or legs. You approve of giving young children guns and matches to play with, etc. that's not in Webster's list. Why are you not saying you approve of letting them play bull poker? Come on, let's hear your approval of that, because it's not in Webster's.
SHARKonlineorg 9 months ago
@SHARKonlineorg How is that saying I approve of that? All I said was, "hey, here's the definiton of child abuse according to webster" now you're reaching. Do tell me, cause I want to hear this, how is that me saying I approve of breaking a child's leg or arms???
25mtcowboy 9 months ago
@25mtcowboy Why were you quoting Websters?
SHARKonlineorg 9 months ago
@SHARKonlineorg In the rodeo I did this in you had to be 7-9. My parents did not make me enter and I actually had to beg them to let me. It's not like your falling off a bull. You fall like 2 feet to the ground into dirt. DIdn't hurt at all. The sheep did not run very fast and the worst I got was a hole in my jeans. I don't play with matches or play with guns other than a BB gun with my dad watching. Niether do my siblings who rode too.
1965Powerwagon 9 months ago
@1965Powerwagon And what did you learn about animals with that experience?
SHARKonlineorg 9 months ago
So its better to eat sheep than ride them?? Last time I checked, eating them required killing them. Isn't that abuse as well? Or am I mistaken? The sheep aren't hurt in this event. No spurs or the ever dreaded flank strap. What has this world come too?! Riding....SHEEP! Oh my god! Stop the presses!

Child Abuse?? Really? Come on. These kids want to ride sheep. I did when I was little, I have when I was little. These kids are 3+ years old.
BarrelRacer955 10 months ago
The kids choose to ride the sheep. They fall around two feet to the ground. They're surprised, and some are scared, but so was I the first time I fell off of a horse. I was crying, I didn't quite understand why the pretty mare decided to buck in the warm up arena. I wasn't abused, I rode that mare in that show because I wanted to. Neither are they, they wanted to ride the sheep. You remind me sickeningly of PETA.

mackat4ck 11 months ago
People say it's the kids choice. I wonder about that. The child may have the choice but lets not forget that they don't want to let their parents down. Boys may be more at risk of this too because they are probably expected to be 'tough' and 'brave.'
mackat4ck 11 months ago
While I will not disagree that Illinois is corrupt, you need not look any further than Obama for that. This is not child abuse. I didn't see any "hardly more than infants" out there. This is fun for most kids, for others their first ride is their last. I wonder why this group isn't attacking PETA. Here is a little known fact PETA doesn't want you to know, in 2009 of 2,366 animals PETA received .38% were adapted out, 97% were KILLED by PETA the rest were transferred.
PETA KILLS animals.
schroyerta 11 months ago
@schroyerta We'll continue to expose rodeo for its abuses no matter how much rodeo supporters want to deflect our efforts.

@hpylori7 This is actual footage at a rodeo. Read some of the comments below. They're from people who not only support this abusive nonsense, but claim they participated in it and see nothing wrong with it.

0Samaire0 1 year ago
0Samaire0 1 year ago
@0Samaire0 And yet children are stepped on, injured, at least one publicized paralysis. The threatening opponent isn't the sheep, it's the grownups who don't take such injuries into consideration.
SHARKonlineorg 1 year ago
You make it sound like the parents are making the kids do it. Like a few other people commenting on this video I also did mutton busting. I always wanted to get on more even if I did get stepped on. It builds character and toughness. Also, how can you say they are "pretending" to console the hurt children? Do you know their intentions? No. Also, your stereotyping rodeo people makes me sick. How many rodeo people do you really know to base your judgments off of?
ALcowboy08 1 year ago
@ALcowboy08 Character and toughness? Riding a running sheep does that? Building character has absolutely nothing to do with this mutton busting. Being tough doesn't always mean how much punishment you take. Being tough is also saying no to cruelity to animals and children shown doing this. Being tough is doing the right thing when you have people calling and threatening your life because you show this to the real world for what it is. This is neighter character building or toughness.

Hello SHARK.
Fight on SHARK!

@TwilightForver101 A well placed bullet won't kill you either. Does that make it right?

in a way these kids have probably grown up around animals and doing some of this stuff at there own farms, or ranches.

I loved it.

I went to some rodeos when i was a child on holiday.
alot of them had vets and ambulances on board. and had vets checking out the animals beforehand.
But this is disgusting. putting you're child on the back of a sheep?
i mean, how retarded can you get. the kids pull on the wool in fear for hope of staying on and that probably panicks the sheep more.
something really has to be done.

@gibsontrever ""I know I have, and I'm fine."" That's debatable, considering the size of these kids are little more than babies.

ive watched a few of these shark videos and they seem pretty legitimate but this is a little stupid how is this more dangerous then letting your kids play football knowing the long term affects of football and brain damage
futuremidwtchamp07 1 year ago
@futuremidwtchamp07 Aside from the injuries, it teaches children that animals are objects to be used for stupid human games. Read the comments from those who say this is good fun and they grew up doing it. They're still supporting rodeo animal abuse.
SHARKonlineorg 1 year ago
@SHARKonlineorg but not every rodeo is like hey lets kill and abuse these animals because i was involved in rodeos for a bit and it wasnt like that but it is sad that people lets those things happen. do you do anything to combat dog fighting
futuremidwtchamp07 1 year ago
@futuremidwtchamp07 Thanks for your post. We abhor dogfighting; however there are organizations that focus on them. We focus our resources on rodeo and pigeon shoots.

they train for this.

@sheffel320 Sure. Those little tykes trained for this. Right. All their lives, probably.
SHARKonlineorg 1 year ago
you guys are morons. the kids know exactly what they are doing. they grew up in this.
sheffel320 1 year ago
cmon, these rednecks dont know any better. thats why the animals are worth more than they are. feel bad that the kids have to grow up thinking animal abuse is ok., but hey, what else would u expect from a redneck parent?
