What I do is clank a bunch of metal connectors into the paint scratching it off so the next time it gets wet the rusting process can start. Wait what?
@princecolin43 good call, that could work too, but where does the mattress go while you're driving from point A to point B? We generally max out storage capacity. Remember, we have two little ones so we can't just leave the mattress on the floor and stack everything/everyone on top of it. Safety first! :)
This is pretty cool, I was thinking half way through that this was going to leave some nasty dents but you seem to have that figured out! Bet the paint work would suffer over time though?
I was trying to figure out a method of doing this but they everything I thought of involved permanent changes to my van which I didn't want. This is simplicity itself! I think I'd like it a little lower to allow for a bit more headroom, but the concept is perfection!
@prismcat40 I'm hoping you found a little inspiration from this technique. We've tried SO many different variations before landing on this simple little set-up.
We attempted this but didn't have the beaners on the outside of the door s which apparently makes a huge difference. We'll give it another go with the new info. Great first video!
@311bgallegos Ha! It took us a few tries to get it right but the perseverance has paid off and we have a great camping alternative. This idea works well for fast set-up and tear down. Let us know how the second attempt works out.
This is Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!
