  • "Life BEGINS At 40" was never released by Ringo Starr.

  • My Dad was 17 in a restrant working when his brother called him and told him about the bad news. My Dad said he began crying for John Lennon and his 3 brothers all together in pain. He told the people in the restront and people started screeming and leaving the place. My Dads boss closed the restront for the and my Dad walked home and played a Beatles Album. knowing that peoples hopes over the past 10 years had ended. That day will be remembered forever.

  • Why Chapman, why?.... John Lennon was one of the best men ever to live. Why take the life of a peacful, and loving man like him for "fame??" John left Julian to be a basterd cause of the Beatles and you made Sean, a helpless 5-year old boy a Basterd aswell. John was back to Music again, it was only an amount of time before the Beatles would of gotten back together. WHY CHAPMAN WHY??????

    THE WORLD FUCKEN HATES YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @vmanbeatles john lennon may have been one of the greatest musicians who ever lived....but very far from being one of the best men who ever lived.....look for the "julian lennon interview" here on youtube. Its the one where julian is on a beach recliner and being interviewed. It is the best beatle related interview I have ever watched. Listen to what his own son says about him. After I watched the interview it became very clear that Julian is a far better human being than his father ever was

  • @inkey2 i know, john was a douchebag. i just saying from his love from man kind.

  • revolver

  • vewygoodman I aggre in all with you and dont forgot something chapman was and he is devil he killed to great man and killed my inspirations like a musician .bye

  • John Lennon singing life begins at 40. That is the mother of all irony.

  • Also thanks for shattering everyone's dream of a Beatles reunion.

  • happy birthday john RIP

  • Happy Birtday Mr. Lennnon,

  • John Lennon died at 40.

    O_O

  • HAHA! XD when he sings "Life starts at 40" he almost sounds like Hank Williams, very country music- Awsome, John, We'll always love you

  • Apart from "Watching the Wheels", if I`d been making stuff as bad as this I`d have gone back to England & tried to make a go of it with the other Fab 3 I`d walked out on in `69 : (

    A.B. Surrey, England.

  • Watching the Wheels is a good song. I dunno. I listened to a lot of john lennon on my ipod everytime I went to Tokyo when I was living in Japan.. Listen to Imagine when I was riding the bus from APU campus to Beppu city. mainly because the scenery fit the music(going down a mountain looking at the ocean as you go down beautiful!!)..

  • @kcirdrab thats why most of it was unreleased, it wasnt done

  • Watching the wheels akustik sounds better than the original! 5 for this genius!

  • Life begins at 40 was never released by Ringo Starr. Ringo never recorded any Lennon songs on his 1981 album. He was going to, but after John died decided not to without John being there.

  • Is Life Starts at 40 a Hank Williams song or just heavily influenced by him.

  • @Tray137

    Just influenced by Hank.

John was like many people a huge fan of Williams

  • Dont forget "Crippled Inside", that was a country kind of tune too. Fairly "tongue-in-cheek", but still...

  • He did a country song? :o it's sounds a whole lot like country....cool :D

  • It's so ironic, "life start at 40", Lennon's life actually ended at 40!

  • Yes, Very ironic. isn't it though.

  • Congratulations Chapman. You said you wanted to be famous like John Lennon and in a sense I guess you are.Thankyou for violently ending the life of a peaceful and loving man.Thankyou for needlessly murdering a musical legend in cold blood.Thank you for leaving a little 5 year old boy Fatherless.Thank you Chapman and oh by the way---FUCK YOU!!!

  • @vewygoodman Yes I would also like to see the assassin of John Lennon slowly tourtured. Yet Lennon was a liberal. And that doesn't stop me from being a conservative.

  • @vewygoodman

I couldn't have put it better myself.

  • @vewygoodman you're so right. one thing that bothers me is that i heard chapman carried a copy of the catcher in the rye by j.d. salinger with him when he killed john... which is one of my favourite books...

  • I asked my friends little sis about mark david chapman and she said "HE SOOOO MEANS! AND IM GONNA SHOOTS HIM TWICE IN DE BACK WIKE HE DID TO JOHN!" hahahahaha hes only in first grade and he cant pronounce his R's

  • We love you John.

    Rock in peace.

You will never be forgetten. Thank you for all the gifts you gave us.

  • Did John Lennon ever wnet to onno's hometown?

  • Yes he did. He went to the little place where her relitives lived. I live in a similar situation in Thailand. John would be convinced he was being talked about and would say mean things in English knowing that some would understand. He had 3 Neices that he called his "Japaneices" he visited 1977'78'79 This is all I can remember. The point is he met all her closest living relatives. Elliot Mintz was flown out as John was intollerent of her family. I know how he felt!!

  • yups- he went to Japan for months

  • cool I've lived in Japan for a year, and once I finish up school I'll be there for a few more years :D Fukuoka I can't wait to see that city again, oo and Nagasaki, and I especially can't wait to party at 68 in Beppu :D

  • unfortunately life ended for him along with music in 1980

  • John thank you Man,,, nuff said

  • premeditated murder means life in prison and chapman deserves no freedom til he dies like his victim

  • sadly life ended at 40

    r.i.p

    john lennon

  • Life starts at 40 was for Ringo Starr for his 1981 Album Stop and Smell the Roses.

  • anybody who would kill Lennon for no reason needs to be in a mental hospital not a jail, totally crazy killing a musician for no reason : sort of like a modern day Jesus : killed for nothing

  • John was murdered when I was 15. Now Iam older than him...doesn't seem right.

  • i was 7 years from being born but Johns awesome

  • I haven't been born yet.

  • @Fooblestheclown it never will...

  • What difference will a signature from a bunch of strangers make? Its a nice idea and all, but they wont let him out anyway. Frankly, if Chapman does get released I think somebody might kill him. I wouldnt advocate that of course, and its totally against John Lennon's non-violent philosophy, but I think somebody would try it.

  • I totally agree. I think someone will find him and kill him if he's ever released.

  • i hope that you are kidding...if not, which it doesn't seem so, you can go to Hell with Chapman...

  • You missed my point...let them release Chapman, bcuz there are only about a million people who would kill him a moment after!

Thats what I meant by saying .."release him"...I am the biggest Lennon fan in the Universe for christs sake, if you looked at my webpage here, you silly banana, I hate Chapman! you guys dont read between the lines very well it seemed!

  • ok, well, i dont go to ppls web pages.... guess i'm glad to hear that b/c anyone who wants a murderer out is kinda creepy....eves tho....vigilante justice is the way to go

  • No Parole for Mark David Chapman. He committed the pre-meditated murder of John Lennon on Dec. 8, 1980 and was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison. He is up for parole in Oct. 2008. I am trying to get 5000 signatures on a petition to present to the NY Division of Parole to keep him in jail. PLEASE SIGN. Go to my channel for the link. It takes less than 1 minute to sign. Thank you.

  • I think your wrong, let them release him, then he will REALLY get his by some TRUE Lennon fan..and at long last, I bet you anything Chapman would be dead in a month, just from fear, hiding in the shadows.....

  • No. A "true" Lennon fan wouldn't hurt him.

  • Well I guess we shall see "TRUE" fan, pohatu771.

What goes around comes around they say, But I forgive Mark Chapman, however one day he will be sorry for his horrible deed when he meets his maker at the least.

As Ringo said recently in an interview, "John is in Heaven", I believe Ringo and his words gives me comfort.

  • I like these double fantasy demos a lot better than the slickly produced final versions for sure.

  • I cant believe they mis-spelled "Losing". Its not a difficult one! lol

  • I've seen plenty of native English speakers spell it that way...

  • John Lennon, 1980-2007 The Collected Works. The album that never was. ;-( I wonder what we missed....so sad...

  • hya folks..iv always liked john lennon ,his music had such a realness about it.Can anyone suggest where i can find footage,if any of his last year/years?.much appreciated.

  • As a long-time fan of the Beatles and John Lennon, I can honestly say that this is certainly one of the more amazingly crappy collections of footage. Waste of time. The producer wasted neither time, effort or thought to waste our six minutes.

  • as a long-time decent human being, i would tell you to shove your comment up your ass, you blowhard. shut the fuck up and stop whining at amateurs creating videos. don't expect anything good on youtube dickface.

  • I will say what I like, when I feel like it. I raise a glass to your eventual prison rape.

  • you're not even a real DJ...i take it you are currently in prison...?

  • You're just not worth it. You are a wad that your mother should have spat out. Good bye.

  • oh wow...a recycled retort...why did i expect something original? well, everyone can see how lame your comeback was anyways...ps: i was clearly worth it or you wouldn't have posted.

  • lol anthony

  • hi brandon, u c iv'e seen every video

  • life starts and ends at 40
