This stage, especially after the miniboss always had a kickass beat. One of my favorite levels overall. My second fave being Stage 5, and its miniboss.

Also, he's not cheating period. All models have a tiny bit of health that you can gamble when enemy grazes your ship or you just barely touch the floor.
The leg of your model is invincible and can also be used as a weapon, it can absorb bullets and most missiles too. Otherwise, it's a gamble depending on it but the player mastered it.

A pilot sent from the moon goes into a battle zone at earth for a suicide mission..but the pilot is very gentle and doesn't believe in violence. I'm amazed at how much protection you can muster with the manipulator, very impressive.

for a "euro" shooter your ship gets quite a few parts that are immune to shots believe it or not...Also: Running into a unit isn't always insta death...the cockpit is the real spot your ship will die from.

it's called having the manipulator arm on top of the plane,the arm is indestructable and can block shots for you. Look carefully at where the arm is and you can see how he blocked the bullet from the back and top. Extremely skilled no cheats here.
The manipulator arm (the claw) can block any attack, you can also use the thrusters on the back of the ship to burn enemies.
Also for anyone saying this is cheat/hack, the ship doesn't flash white when you get hit if you have cheats.

Holing up in the train links, evading the swarm at low speed, passing under the walkers to doge enemy shots.... This is amusing.
Makes me want to play the Japanese version again. Too bad my CD's broken and I can't extract from it.

Using the Endymion II, you can tap the X button(assuming you have default controls) to extend your arm around too.
