What is it about art anyway that we give it so much importance? Artists are respected by the poor because what they do is an honest way to get out of the slums using one’s sheer self as a medium. The money earned is proof pure and simple that the value of that individual is the artist.
The muse, the spirit of music, inspiration does not necessarily come from you but TO you, ask yourself WHERE is this coming from, where did the inspiration derive from before you even picked up an instrument? ASK yourself
It comes from my experiences and knowledge in music. I love music, the natural and beautiful world is enough to make anyone write great music. Then again Beethoven was blind and he wrote so bad ass stuff so it really is just practiced talent.
Respond to this video... By stating that inspiration comes from God, you remove the EGO out of your music, whether its true or not does not matter, but this process eliminates the EGO which is the full realization of the self?
That makes no sense, I do all the work and god should take all the credit? no thanks. It has nothing to do with be humble at all. I can be humble all on my own as well.
