the macintosh was the first comercially suscesful personal computer with GUI, because the lisa was before it with gui but was a comercial failure, there were computers with gui but these 2 macs were the first PERSONAL COMPUTERS to use a gui. so im not stupid. i was talking about pc's not corporate computers, im talking about personal computers!

actually no a few very succesful home computers/gaming consoles such as the atari ST which came out about a year before the apple mac had a very high quality( at the time of course) fully bitmapped COLOR gui and was one of the biggest rivals to apple at the time

again it want to say that not all of the gui personal computers(which also happened to be gaming consoles they were integrated) and not the most the commodore 64 (which is INCREDIBLY famous and outsold the macintosh by a large number) also had a gui. it is also considered a PC since it could do both play games and also be used as a computer, and btw dolrb is right osx is based of BSD which is free

u are right on the C64 out selling everyone, but the C64 ran Commodore BASIC that was based on microsoft BASIC wich like MS-DOS were text-based interfaces. again im talking about GUI not TEXT-BASED interfaces, so look it up mac was most comercialy suscesful GUI PC of its time. about the BSD its true OSX is based on Unix, but makes sence to sell something you spent money and hours of hard work making like OS X, if others let their OS be free thats their loss. example Linux

i agree there are many great features about osx such as the dock (although it was ripped off openstep) and itunes is great except there is no linux port :( . but im not saying any os is better or worse im just saying linux gives you great configurabilty i can make it look exactly like osx or make it a completely unique desktop experience. and im saying it isnt right to just rip off a completely free great operating sytem and then charge for it. and linus torvald did not aim to make money

Pc's default programs are have been better rated and easier to use macs are shitty for gaming macs are also shitty for editing. also with a pc you don't need to pay money to use the editing program it comes with, some programs they do give you trial versions of the whole program but thats only if you are an idiot and buy a preassembled version instead of a custom built.
