i think the french actor does a great job. i always wondered what it would be like to have a film strongly associated with a particular actor dubbed in the respective language its showing to. obviously its fine! i think in a film with little dialogue subtitles are fine. like la haine for instance. imagine having to read subtitles to a shakespeare adaptation!!!!

RMj is damn right! every actor has his own unigue abilities, in jim carrey's case its the funny noises he can do with his voice wich is totaly ruined if its dubbed like this, this is crap! My advice is use your own subtitles, never change the actors voices, its lame and it reduces the enjoyment of the movie by 50%

More people speak Chinese fluently, but English is the most translated language. Many countries, China included, start learning English in compulsory education. If we were going to have a standard language for the planet, English would be the simplest to implement. I would still want all native languages to remain, though.
