  • I am a Filipino and I am ashamed of our government, our CORRUPT GOVERNMENT. I dont care about the contaminated milk from China.

  • Why generalize one man's misdeed? We share the same sentiments, our police sucked. Don't fuel the fuego now.

  • @AzerChristians you know not all filipino is that..a real Christians cant do that..there is 2 kinds of Christians... first 1 cHRISTIANS that are only attender and after that going home without knowing who is Jesus... and second 2 a Christian who is really Devoted and have a real relation to God Jesus Christ..so thats why--- we cannot do that thing... not all filipinos are bad..always remeber that

  • fking mayor should be fire.. and hung for this accident..

  • eh gago pala kayu eh, bakit sinu bang me gusto ng nagyari, mga intsik, mag isip nga kayo

  • how do you demand getting a job back trying to kill people? Especially a police man job? Crazy.

  • According to a show here in the country, there were numerous mistakes

  • Philippine Police is just so stupid. Apologise doesnot mean anything. they cannot play their role to be a police man at all.

  • MANILA– A British man who went to the Philippines to propose to a woman he met in an Internet chat room was stabbed to death by her jealous lover Sunday, police said.

John Lorne McDonald's would-be bride, Nanqueen Romero, 31, also sustained multiple wounds after being attacked by her Filipino lover, police said in a statement.

  • the scar leaves by this incidents will take years to heal, just like what 911 did to NYC. Unfortunately, a shadow will linger in the heart of all of us HKers for some year to come, even for those without racial prejudice.

  • have u notice what the news caster say, HONG KONG NATIONALS... why not CHINESE NATIONALS... are hong kong nationals ashamed to be a chinese nationals? just asking...

  • china and hongkong are perfect people..why?because they dont understand about is isolated case..and they hates all filipino.no one knows that happend ,it's god's well..chinese people should understand tht.

    iapologize my english

  • @sweetchelley its not that.. the handling of this accident is wrong.. it would never have gone this wrong with out how police wrongfully handling it ..

  • @sweetchelley @AzerChristians you know not all filipino is that..a real Christians cant do that..there is 2 kinds of Christians... first 1 cHRISTIANS that are only attender and after that going home without knowing who is Jesus... and second 2 a Christian who is really Devoted and have a real relation to God Jesus Christ..so thats why--- we cannot do that thing... not all filipinos are bad..always remeber that

  • PEOPLE ARE REJECTED BECAUSE WE SEE THEIR FAULTS NOT THEIR GOOD DEEDS...why many people are too easy to judge Filipino without knowing them very well..not all Filipino are bad..stop talking shit in general..its only one man's fault,,not all Filipino's fault. there is no perfect life, perfect people and also there is NO PERFECT COUNTRY.

  • @gretchentolentino obviously you are a noytard get it?

  • to all my countrymen in Philippines who condemened by the other people about what happened to the Manila Quirino grandstand Luneta-hostage taking: "life is an undying cycle. it is a battle of survival. if you quit then your a loser. If you fall then stand up. If you keep on complaining about the miseries of your life, nothing will happen. God doesn't throw stone that we cannot catch."

  • WHAT THE FUCK PEOPLE. STOP BEING RACISTS. FILIPINOES IN GENERAL HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS AND DON'T PUT THAT "OH THEY FUCKING DESERVE THIS" ATTITUDE TOWARDS HONG KONG PEOPLE BECAUSE OF WHAT CHINESE PEOPLE HAVE DONE TO THE FILIPINOES.

jeez, you guys are just making your own nation looks even worse.

  • @nakatsuikuta You only looking at your country point of view. Something you may not know. Some of the family treated ur people very well too, e.g. going holiday together. Additionally, some of your people stealing the owner's goods. Even bullying the owners' sons , as well as using their blood got from their period mixed with soup to control the owner so the owner can treat them well. I think you don't want to happen in your house too right.

  • Such a joking government and its policemen!!!

  • @nakatsuikuta Not only the police were wrong ... We even think there was a conspiracy inside it, mainly about politic. I can't explain everything according to the radio I have listened to. According to the radio, they had no intent to save the hostages. The main purpose of the polices were to destory all evidences and kill the gunman coz the gunman knew everything and not wanting him tell the true behind.

Main point in the radio: Why they not snipe him while he was exposed

    several times.

  • @kbundy023 I guess you're right. They didn't have intent to save the hostages.

  • @nakatsuikuta Hong Kong is different to China. You have to correct this.

  • @kbundy023 HAHAHAHA! is that so, after all they are all chinese they have same feather.

  • @nakatsuikuta ya, youre right, these chinese people are caled " LIIT KITA " i'ts because they have tiny eyes, they dont see their mistakes. IT REMINDS ME ALSO THE TIANAMEN SQUARE, wherein tourist FILIPINOS DIED, The CHEKWA GOVERMENT did not even bother to make public apologies. They are dog head too

  • @yolac09 They are from Hong Kong not directly as a chinese.... Chinese is too general..

  • @kbundy023 but chinese blood runs thru them

  • @nishino14

thanks for that comment,,you are absolutely right..we should learn from that mistake and move on...

  • U h8 Filipinos 4 d hostage fiasco earlier dis week, ryt?Den should i h8 chinese pipol 4 d lead poisoning and melamine contamination?wer not 8,but hundreds, maybe even thousands have suffered?is it ryt 2 blame a whole nation 4 a mistake of 1 man? if u do den u r most certainly DENSE! i dont want 2 argue about anything. im just stating my take on things.-share this msg.to all the filipino's nationwide

  • @paulhenrysoria really? this was really fine if only they did it right. but the world saw what happen, what they did was just completely wrong. this is a definition of disaster!!

  • @paulhenrysoria most of us just hate the filipino police force. it is obvious that stupid decisions were made...especially when the suspect was willing to negotiate. of course, there will be dumbasses that will say they hate a nation for a mishap, but rest assured it is not the majority of us.

    One Love,

    Jin

  • @paulhenrysoria lol how times u gonna post this? fyi the contamitaion is in china, not hong kong. find smth else to say

  • LOLZZZZZZZ MENDOZA did a great JOB on WHAcking those Chinese Folks. Chinese are also Known for DRUGS, Fishing and poaching in territorial waters of other countries and Wildlife and nature abuse. THEY deserved to DIE ..HAHAHAHA

  • @FilipinoUnggo... i am an american filipino chinese... to me its not really my concern who hires filipina maids whether they be chinese or muslim... they are a race no better that mine. what bother me is their lack compassion to them and they are treated without dignity and respect.

  • Penipu

  • To the Filipinos and hong kong nationals that are arguing in this video. Let us make it clear that the PEOPLE we CONDEMN are the same. Mendoza and the rest of those inconsiderate people who happens to be Filipinos. We should keep in mind that this is not enough to represent an entire country. Majority of the Filipinos condemn the aggressors. Even those who take happy pictures with the bus on the background is despised by many Filipinos. Please, let us all be rational, we have a common enemy.

  • what swat team on earth shoots m16 bullets on a bus full of hostages

  • hayop ka mendoza mamatay lahat ng mendoza sa mundo gago kayung lahat......kung pwed nga ako papatay sa inyu putang ena kayu

  • You hate Filipinos for the Hostage Fiasco earlier this week, right?

Then should I hate the Chinese people for the Lead Poisoning and Melamine contamination?

Where not 8, but hundreds, maybe even thousands have suffered?

Is it right to blame a whole nation for a mistake of one man?

If you do then you are most certainly DENSE!

I don’t want to argue about anything. I’m just stating my take on things.

  • I'm a Filipino. I'm not really ashamed of how the police handled this hostage taking incident. what I'm really ashamed of was how our media covered this event. The way our media covered this event was the most pathetic since time immemorial. If there's one thing that you foreigners should learn from this event, it's this: NEVER imitate how we reported this event . .grrr the shame

  • @joven786 you shouldn't be ashamed how the media covered this event.. you should be ashamed what happen the next day after this event..

    people taking happy group pictures

  • @FiIipinoUnggoy We appreciate neither the hostage taker and those stupid Filipinos taking the group pictures... We condemn them, the majority of us. It is unfair to blame the rest of us and put us in line with those brainless sons of bitches. Like any other nations, you can always find people who are insensitive and ignorant of the things that are happening. And like in any other nations, we do not tolerate them.

  • @FiIipinoUnggoy oh yeah. haha, that was really pathetic . Filipinos are very jolly creatures. We're so jolly that we become idiots. :D

  • @joven786

    You are wrong.

    ..

The media acted like any media would do - report. It is NOT the media's responsibility to anticipate that Mendoza has a TV in the bus to watch the events outside the bus.

    ..

HOWEVER, the police and swat team made MANY wrong moves including choosing to arrest Mendoza's brother at the wrong time under the glare of media, the police REPEATEDLY made moves which gave the gunman emotional grounds to open fire.

    ..

The police and swat r probly the worst I've seen.

  • @joven786

Blaming the media for the lack of foresight of the police is as good as shifting the blame to a third party. I hope most filipinos are not so stupid. Come next election, or right now, demand an overhaul of the current police force, instate a police that your nation can be proud of !

  • @joven786

Think about it, would any media in any country choose not to report the arrest ?

    ..

Think, should the police have postponed the arrest in consideration of Mendoza's access to TV and considering the lives of the hostages are at risk.?

    ..

If the police had postponed the arrest, is there a possibility that no hostages would be killed at all ?

  • You got that wrong. Jackie Chan didn't say "Not all Filipinos are bad". Direct quote from his Twitter, "HK is a nation built by a lot of different people..don't worry! We do not hate!" He doesn't represent everyone's option about this incident. He has been acting weird in recent years and this could be the worst and definitely wrong timing. I can't say there is no hatred towards Philippines gov and police force (not Filipinos), but there is definitely anger & confused.

  • It can happen everywhere,it was just unfortunate that it happened in the Philippines

if you look cold cases happened in the past, there are much more worsed than this.

remember those episodes from "too young to kill" like 14-16 y/o teens who killed their parents. Please stop judging.misserable man can do anything. it can be you !!

  • im proud of supt.orlando yebra!ur so brave man.even u guys failed...keep it up.

  • THERE IS MUCH MORE TO LIFE THAN THINKING TO MUCH OF THIS, WE MOURN AND EMPHATIZE WITH HK PEOPLE.. WE CANT CHANGE WHAT HAPPENED.. JUST MAKE OUR NATION MUCH STRONGER IN THE FUTURE...

  • Comment removed

  • Hey people . don't argue. it's just that, the Filipino race should not be discriminated or maybe judged, because Mendoza is the only one(or maybe including some of his family members/relatives) who is making this big mess. I can say as a Filipino, that the Swat team here in the Philippines are not that trained. They failed in protecting the people including the Hongkong citizens and the Filipino people. point is: we Filipinos should not be judged by the actions of others.

  • @dapash1 you should be ashamed of yourself.

  • @54living i agree with you i am filipino and i have no problem with chinese people, they are after all people, just like us. that dapash guy is a racist and full of shit, and he doesnt even have the decency to admit it

  • We are grieving..

But due to excessive insult and abuse these HongKong people have hurled against the Filipinos, the next time we catch shabu manufacturers (100% from HongKong), we will right away, smash their heads without TV or anything.

Did HongKong government officials apologize before when Manila Police would always catch HongKong nationals being involved in the manufacturing of illegal drugs?

  • ok the phil. police realy sucks... but not all of the people here is like that... the whole world knows how hospitable and warm hearted we pinoys are... (well some of use aint so hospitable) but 9 out of 10 pinoys are..... think about it..... one stupid son of a duck`s fault aint all the philippines fault... we cant blame the HK gov to black list us but please reconsider that.... china phil. relationship is like husband and wife for hundreads if years right??? ...

  • Fuck the Hong Kong gov if they wanna raise black travel shit! Never come to the Philippines and stay away! Much better for the Philippines. In fact, have them tell their fellow chinks to leave the Philippines! It's fucking irritating to see a fucking chink everywhere you look! Stay in your country please! Like fucking ants crawling everywhere!

  • @dapash1 You're such a fucking racist. You're the fucking epitome of the pot calling the kettle black

  • @jns4chat

Nah man, its just fucking irritating! Chinese comes to a country and build themselves "CHINATOWNS" and soon one day when you get your paper in your front lawn, FUCKING CHINKS LIVES ACROSS THE STREET! Fuck they're everywhere! Probably even under my bed together with the bed bugs. I'm not racist but damn, somebody gotta do some population control with these guys!

  • @dapash1 Yes, you are. You are a racist. I'm from Burma & the way you talk to another race is very racist.

  • @dapash1 I'm from Burma & the way you talk is very racist. Why don' t you blame your ex-police, SWAT & government for this incident. They aren't all HK citizen, one family is Canadian citizen & one couple is British Oversea National.

  • @dapash1 i am a Filipino. from mindanao. a second year high school student. but i know what is respect for our country and for the others. Don't blame Hongkong for the actions of one of our people. you should not discriminate them. think about your thoughts before you type them. think about the advantages and the negative possibilities that will happen. okay? i think the only one that we can blame is Mendoza , or maybe the one who told him to do this(the devil maybe?).

  • @dapash1

We need a "Final Solution" against the damned dog-breathed Chinks

  • From this news report, you ar able to the hear .. how many times did this idiot respone is I duno.. I duno.. Come on... tell us what you know? A Pieces of SHIT!

firetrucks are used as a standby in case a bomb explode dumb ass. in america and other countries it's automatic to have paramedics and firetrucks on standby in situations like this. FYI, k-9 dogs don't attack people!! they are trained to detect bombs!! and in this situation, bomb explosion is always likely to happen.. JESUS where did you come from??!! I'm gonna give you money and please buy yourself a brain or IQ or something!!

  • The Philippines is more than just a group of islands. We are a nation of strong and remarkable people. A country of beauty and love known to be hospitable and well-valued. I humbly apologize for what happened tonight. No one in this world would want something like that to happen for life should be valued.

--Reigno Jose Dilao, A letter from a teenage filipino to the world, CNN.com

(a letter of one.. a letter of all.)

    God Bless us all!

  • @vashdash777

There are?!? OMG they are a fifth column for Mainland China

  • all around the world knows that all the Filipino that work in china has nothing to do with the hostage drama.. so don't punish them for the things that they didn't do.. don't forget that there are also Chinese here in Philippines..

  • @vashdash777

  • The Philippinos say in this site that they deserve respect. So please everyone pays 10 dollars to those Philippino goverment and cops via PayPal. They really deserve this donation more than those hostages.

  • Former Captain Roberto Mendoza is also a victim here. His desperation for justice drove him crazy that led to the loss of many. But please to all haters here, we can never correct wrong by doing wrong. What Roberto Mendoza did was wrong but hating is also wrong.

I feel sorry for all the victims here and I hope the families and survivors learn to forgive and move on.

  • like everyone said, its extremely an isolated case.. so pls dont blame our country .. coz one person doesnt represent the whole country ... god bless the victims soul ... may u welcome there with peace...

  • we filipinos are very sorry for what happened..stop blaming the whole crime to us..one filipino does not represents the whole filipino. we got a lot of abusements from different country. but u heard nothing from us..we never blamed other countries for some certain happenings. lets just accept the fact that we are all humans and nobody's perfect..we are born to commit mistakes..and others to commit crimes. pls accept are heartfelt sympathy and condolences for the family of the victims.

  • Hong Kong's Tang was so angry and even declared the Philippines as a no-no destination.

He was quiet when 4 out 5 Hong Kong tourists were found to be shabu manufacturers/traders.

  • hey dont forget those chinese countries who maltreated filipino workers...there are lots of filipino workers treated bad in other countries....

  • Yes, i'm a fili[ina too...I pity the Hong Kong(Chinese) nationals and the 1 civilian Pinoy national that is accidentally shot. There are some fails that PNP and SWAT team did but thank God there are people inside the bus that are freed. The Philippine government should pay or help the bereaved families.Mendoza, the fired hostage taker last year wants to go back to his work. But, he did it in a brutal way!I'm only a 9-year-old girl but I have a lot of concern in every dead people & their families.

  • Yes, we all BOYCOTT Filos' tourism, food, exports, utensils, materials, language........................n everything!!!

Aquiee, you've shown to the whole world a cold-blooded crown who respect no lives lost innocently !! YOU LAUGHED before media and camera. We all Chinese NEVER FORGET !!!!!

  • @Shame4Zizou hi....every part of the world has crimes...its not about the race and the nation....

  • @Shame4Zizou You're a fucking asshole!

  • @Shame4Zizou Yes, BOYCOTT...

Take your drugs with you and don't even look back.

  • @Shame4Zizou

Hey, can I ask you something? Have you been to the Philippines? Do you know the country's culture? Do you know how well the Filipino people are treating the Chinese that are residing here in the Philippines?

People here are nice to you, foreigners. The Manila hostage drama is an ISOLATED case. It doesn't represent nor reflect the Filipino culture.

  • @Shame4Zizou

Yes, our police force can be viewed as incompetent. And we do apologize. But isn't it unfair that you are blaming the citizens for the incompetence of some misguided police officers?

Believe me, we Filipinos are already critical to what had happened. WE are already blaming our police force. WE are already ashamed of their actions. And WE all are deeply apologetic to you, Chinese people.

So please, we don't need YOU to tell US what we already know. Okay?

  • @Shame4Zizou LOL in your face

  • @Shame4Zizou

Don't take the entire China with your dirty tongue and attitude. Many Chinese people still think that the Philippines is a good place to go to. If you are going to hell, go alone. You are a nuisance and your points of view are clouded with bias. When you say we laugh before media and camera, did you hear ALL OF US?? what about those Filipino who mourn and felt extremely bad because of the incident, DID YOU HEAR THEM?? If you are a glutton for hatred...then do not involve others

    8 people died as well.

  • The authorities are such wimps! They sould've think about the sniper that hour ago.but really... Our country are very embarassed about this.

  • Don't be too judgmental. It's just an isolated case. It doesn't really represent the values of the Filipino people. Condolences to the victims.

  • one man doesn't represent an entire race.. to all those haters, please get a life.

  • @ganja420pimpxp

Don't bother telling them, they won't listen

  • CNN, nice job again! "Hong Kong National"... PLZ keep up with the good job, when its good news, "Hong Kong National" and when its bad news, "Hong Kong National"... Unlike some other "biased" medias, good news with "HK National" and bad news with "Chinese"...

  • What is equally disgusting about this tragedy is that the driver who escaped from the coach uttered to the police that all hostages were killed. I do not know how anyone could have uttered those words where so many lifes were risk. Imagine what would have happen if the police officers acted under such mistaken belief.

  • I believe both filipinos and chinese have small dicks. But chinese are well known to have small dicks. Its just that filipinos are more stupid than chinese.

  • @abyssmal26 I know for sure many chinese people cry for justice aswell so is with the filipinos. Calling names and hating your fellow will NEVER make the world better. Just contributing to another crime we call HATE.

  • @bagasbasxxx Hey go fix your own country first! fuck ya talking about?

  • I found this article in Yahoo!

  • Palace: Spare our workers in Hong Kong

The Palace is concerned about the situation surrounding Filipino workers in Hong Kong after receiving reports that a Filipina maid had lost her job after Monday’s tragic hostage crisis in Manila.

  • @ShaF1117 Fuck are ya talkin about spare our workers? you know how many chinks that are in the philippines? who's thieving and backstabbing behavior prevents the nation from progressing? I think you need to wipe your sleepy eyes, if there are 100 thousand filipino's in HK working there are millions of gook in the philippine stealling. and please don't demonise a complex situation, those gooks deserve it!!

  • @bonkersblock ;;; are you being serious?

  • @hugo199410 Oh I am dead serious motherfucker! if the chinks hate us for these, you don't know the kind hatred filipinos have for them..

  • @ShaF1117 “May incidental reports na pinapaconfirm pa namin that a Filipina maid was fired by her employers in Hong Kong because of what happened [We're still trying to confirm reports that a Filipino maid was fired by her employers because of what happened],” said Presidential Communications Group Development Secretary Ricky Carandang in a press conference.

  • @ShaF1117 “We understand the anger and the dismay of the people of Hong Kong but at the same time also we don’t think that it’s right our ordinary citizens who had nothing to do with this should be paying the price,” said Carandang.

  • @ShaF1117 Based on statistics from the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, there were at least 100,142 Filipinos working in Hong Kong in 2009.

  • @ShaF1117 ya many filipinos work overseas wish they will be safe there especially in hk

  • @ShaF1117 The Hong Kong government earlier raised a “black” travel alert for the Philippines, urging its residents to avoid any travel to the Philippines.

Hong Kong residents were outraged over the slow response of the Philippine authorities in the rescue, in which the police took 12 hours to neutralize the hostage taker Rolando Mendoza.

  • Comment removed

  • @ShaF1117 that good they black listed philippines.... we dont need anymore stinkin chinese visiting or living in our country... im so sick everything is made in china.... cheap quality.

  • @miks1007 you should know, that your country relies on maids sending money to the philippines.. and guess who hires these filipina maids?

  • @FiIipinoUnggoy It is not right to make such a claim...just how extensive is your knowledge about us?? You are being biased, and you are in no condition to make such judgment in respect with your current psychological status. Do not feel so proud of yourself. What happened in that event is NOT what we desire. And the outcome of it is very much unexpected. But that does not give you authority to trash talk on us, especially we are not the ONES who DID those things.

  • @megalith100

hostage taking can happen anywhere in the world, including Singapore, but what was wrong with the whole thing was that the police and government handled it very very poorly. The aftermath is quite a joke as well. They have done many things to disrespect the dead, and that is not what educated people should do.

  • @megalith100

    What occurred in the aftermath:

-police and school girls smiling and taking pictures in front of the bus as if it's a tourist attraction in Vegas

    -Filipinos laughing

-Hong Kong victims' valuables were stolen by Filipino civilians

-Filipino media opening the coffins and started taking pictures as if the dead are museum displays

-the draping of the Filipino flag on Mendoza as if he's some hero of the Philippines

-the stupid game made by a Filipino

  • @FiIipinoUnggoy
