  • He should become a supervillain.

  • its like what ive seen in movies...REALLY COOL... =)

  • chadaha ani oi

  • SCIENCE IS SOOOOOOOOOO COOOOLL!!! ,but

No daddy Id rather go and stare at a wodden cross where I apologize to God for masturbating!! :)

  • lingawa ani ui..

  • I going to put a bird cage on my head and stick a knife in the toaster.

  • How many volts? .... OVER 9000!!!!!

  • Unlimited POWAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • SCIENCE!

  • i wish that this would be my security defence :D

  • where I buy the tesla coil?

  • donde compro la bobina de tesla?

  • somehow it looks like after effects :P

  • Made in china?

  • Megavolt from Darkwing Duck then sues for backstory and name usage. That, or he mistakes you as family. Dawww, what a happy reunion!

  • who cairs if u touched the cage? Touch the coil when its turned on!

  • I love that he is saying that he invented the faraday cage lol

  • Comment removed

  • wow!

  • Tesla Trooper? :D Too bad his shoes weren't made of rubber, he could've said they're RUBBER SHOES IN MOSHUN.

  • i like to try.. i think it´s a experience great.. if possible.

  • if zapdos were human

  • if he turned to supervillain then this will be good cuz i will take the technology he made and she him his dreams of ruling the world

  • Burning Man!

  • You know how gorgeous the sparks look in 1080p HD? Just amazing.

  • I wonder if someone would be dumb unof to try to make a testcoil, and do what he is doing

  • @ChibiDchan your a fuckin idiot they are harmless sparks. go back to school little boy.

  • @762xpsychopathic54

Large Tesla coils and magnifiers can deliver dangerous levels of high frequency current, and they can also develop significantly higher voltages (often 250,000–500,000 volts, or more). Because of the higher voltages, large systems can deliver higher energy, potentially lethal, repetitive high voltage capacitor discharges from their top terminals.

But overall seen, it is indeed pretty harmless. I see it like this, it is as safe as the builder made it to be.

  • He would look better and be just as functional wearing a suit of regular chainmail

  • Nicolas Tesla is genious !

  • I'm your biggest fan!

  • All of this coming from a guy wearing space boots and a bird cage on his head.

  • Red Alert!

  • @nelonXD This man is the counter-unit for Tesla Coils at Red Alert 4. ;)

  • Static Shock

  • shine on Mr Sparkle Pants. You have a very intense hobby!

  • hey , when he toched the coil with a stick

it kinde looked like a lightsaber

  • This made me think of Dr. octoganapus!

  • Why the fuck do they need to make this so dramatic

  • tesla ftw

  • You probably meant "capable of producing 1,200,000 volts".

up to 200 kV can be produced by my small table top coil.

  • what about the ultraviolet light flashing arcs that will eventually burn your ayes and make you blind (you forgot the safety glasses)

  • :o I want to do that. I love electricity.

  • This is just like Arc Attack.

  • Fantastic !!!!!

  • only 200.000Volts??? i think it´s about 5MV (5.000.000volts...)

  • No bad puns yet? I'm shocked.

  • @bloodurine

    Shocker

  • cool

  • and i though tesla had crazy ideas

  • try this at home ahahhaaaha

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it wud be cool, if the electricity jumped onto one of the audiances

  • @10293847565846800

it wud be cool--if you could use correct grammar you fucking dill hole!

  • @10293847565846800

just for information, nikola tesla had many public presentation like this, he and the audiances had no metallic suit on. he is working with high voltage and high frequency but very low ampere. and why beginns the wooden chair burn? is just beause wood dont let to circulate the current.. the resistance of air is lower than of the wood. after all.. the air is bruning and inflames the wooden chair. tesla had a mutch better knowledge of his work as we ever had. he is the king

  • he has a metal suit on anyone can do it with a metal suit on?!?!?! do it without a suit and i will consider u god

  • I spotted a fire extinguisher early in the clip. Imagine being one of the horrified onlookers and having to jump up and use it on the smoldering remains of this

electro-jackass after an accident that is only a matter of time before it happens?

P.S: I would LOVE to wear that suit on the NYC subway someday !!!

  • @SCROOBA12345 its a Tesla coil, the guy wont be harmed and the metal mesh on him wont even get a little bit warm. He and MANY others have been performing for decades without ever being harmed.

  • 1:16

    ...

and this guy went to Berkeley?

  • that has to go wrong some day!

  • i'm not sure if i remember well, but i think that he doesn't need the suite, something to do with Voltage and Frequency of the current flowing

  • Finally, a Faraday cage that is both practical and fashionable.

  • check out the suits worn by people who work with power cables, much nicer IMO.

  • oh yes lol. my favortie part is the birdcage-helmet

  • love and truth will always prevail,...tyrants will always fall.

  • these are Tesla coils,..long live the thunder God,........Nicola Tesla,....even if he was murdered by the U.S spy agencies he still lives in our hearts.

  • don't try this at home

  • Wow! Better him than me!

  • He should make it look more like Quan Chi of Mortal Kombat 4 :D

  • "Dr. Megavolt" is gnarly and that birdcage on his head is fantastic it makes him look more looney.

  • im pretty sure this will go horribly wrong somewhere down the line and he will turn into a evil supervillain or some shit

  • @jhaul21

    lol my thoughts exactly

  • @jhaul21

Well jhaul21 I think something is going wrong because It certainly looks bright and loud from his 'proximity' and he's not wearing any eye or ear protection, so gradually, with the many of number demonstrations, he's going to loose allot of 'capacity' in those two senses. He's having too much fun to turn into a villain though.

  • @jhaul21

A year old comment and I am laughing my butt off. Good stuff.

  • Somebody please throw some water on this guy.

  • the more physical reason the cage he built is that a electric field can only surround the out side of the cage, thus no electricity can exist inside the cage, thats why your car is the safest spot in a storm.

  • thnx for explaining it

  • 0:23 .. hilarious

  • tesla done the same thing without the suit and a birdcage on his head.

  • surely there is something more to be learned here.

  • he looks like a batman villain!

  • aqua man i think, the one with glass helmet.

  • you mean Black Manta... i was thinking more like Mr. freeze

  • yeah! mr . freeze you got it! i was thinking of the villain in megaman which is aqua man which has a resemblance to mr. freeze as well. Because of their glass helmet

  • that means a prism tower should kill him.

  • hey wait he looks like a teslsa trooper charging a tesla coil! i remember ra2

  • HEY! That game was crazy! :P

  • Imagine if that machine malfunctioned.

    That would suck.

  • yea, it looks like in games D:

  • check out robbielashjr 2009 high school football highlights

  • Keep telling yourself that. Did you know: it's not the voltage that kills you, it's the amperage! you can have 100,000 volts @ .01 amps, and you will only feel it burn your skin slightly. It takes .25 amperes to kill the average person, voltage has to exceed 500,000 to burn you bad enough to kill. otherwise it just sizzles a little bit.

    The more you know!

  • ok uhm. thank you

  • I wike tesla coils.

    Reminds me of red allert.

  • rubber soles in motion =)

  • hes wearing a bird cage O.o

    Awesome

  • He's wearing a metal suit with a special inner coating so it doesn't arc to him

  • man that is so cool.

  • that shit is fucken crazy!!!!!!!

  • pretty bad ass

  • I've always wanted electic power like Dr. Doom from fantastic four. I think thats about as close as gets. AMAZING!

  • That is so COOL.

  • I am a tech nut. I LoVe this channel

  • boring

  • We should use Tesla's technology to solve our energy problems!

  • u dont waste electricity

  • You don't?

  • yes u dont?

  • i unplug my microwave. i don't waste anything.

  • I don't like how he said he "discovered" this ability to make a suit: he fucking touched metal that could have potentially killed him... for someone from Berkley, you'd think he'd know to do the research and tests BEFORE risking your own health...

  • i dont like how you think anyone cares what you care about in youtube comments, ot that this man cares, or that your opinion regsiters on anyones "give a fuck" radar

  • what is this "give a fuck" radar and where can I purchase one from? :)

  • I see at least one person... *nudges vblogrsRLzrs* XP

  • And don't get me wrong: this guy and his suit is totally fucking cool. Granted. I just didn't like that someone who went to Berkley came across this not with a "2+2=4" revelation but a "oh wow cool I'm not in pain at the moment" kind of revelation. Excuse me for thinking high of those from Berkley... =P

  • this video is quite shocking

  • So he ain't megavolt, just a guy in a effin suit -_-

  • bioshock . hahah

  • lol looks like hes wearing a birdcage on his head

  • he is, he said he is wearing one even. werent you paying attention?

  • seriously! i was like, o ma gad! its damn smrt!

  • ya rly!

  • Oh shut up smartass wannabe.

  • nice

  • the most AWESOME thing I have ever seen on Youtube.

  • really?

  • ya rly!

  • Really? Really?

  • I hope the high EMF's this guy is soaking up isnt rearranging his genes for him.

  • Tunguska, Russia 1908...

Mystery explosion was Tesla proving he knew how to harness the free electricity all around us, and us it like an Atom Bomb. Edison was an Asshole.

  • Edison WAS an asshole. Amen, brother!

  • He's so bad ass. 5/5

  • Tesla all over again : Just may be he will make free Electricity for every one !

    ZZTWP :

  • robocop!!1! @ 2:39

  • cool video nice idea

  • He is in Faradays cage!!

He cant be hurt! We have tech. museum in Zagreb and Tesla was Croat so we have somethin like that. You can have neon light in hand and it will light if you are near that machine.

Sound ven bolt starts is great!!

  • I taw I taw a birdcage on that guys head...

  • 1.2.3..viva lalgerie

  • Hey, it's Isaac Clarke from Dead Space. Lvl 0 Suit. :P

  • lol, I tought at the same thing !

  • this is how db evolution should have been made

  • thats sick! imagine this guys takes that suit out on a stormy day. the gets striked by a lighting with millions of volts. he wouldn't feel a thing other than the force thats created by the lighting.

  • has to be hard on the eyes.. shouldnt he be wearing some kind of darkened glasses?

  • Dude, he looks like a typical Spider-Man super villain....especially the helmet is terrifying.

  • thats hot! lol

  • Real life tesla trooper. Awesome.

  • Lady Gaga is currently looking for your hat.

  • "...I feel certain that of all my inventions, the Magnifying Transmitter will prove most important and valuable to future generations."[1] The magnifying transmitter is an air-core, multiple-resonant transformer that can generate very high voltages. Tesla originally termed it self-regenerative resonant transformer, a term that is no longer in general use.

  • The magnifying transmitter is an advanced version of the classic Tesla coil. It is a high power harmonic oscillator that Nikola Tesla proposed for the wireless transmission of electrical energy.[1] In his autobiography, Tesla stated that

  • Nice birdcage on your head !

  • omg

  • Wat if it just reached the fences over at the public and everyone just blew up into millions of pieces.

  • he looks like mr freeze from the batman cartoon

  • I was thinking the same thing

  • Next thing you know he is gonna merge the coil into the suit and use it to commit crime. A real life comic book villain.

  • well they didnt add DOnt try at home means u can do it at home

  • they forgot to ad "don't try this at home"

  • Yeah because most people have a giant tesla coil at home, haha.

  • haha

  • i c some light saber going on ftw

  • Actually he is not Dr Meagvolt...he is only Dr. Kilovolt as his tesla coil is at 200kVolts.

  • haha your so dumb!

  • his helmet is hilarious :) LOL

  • He prefers to be addressed as Mr. Badass, Sir.

  • you shall experience the full force of the DARK SIDe!

  • so awesome :D

  • it would be funny if he was siting on the chair then it would look like the lighting bolt thing is coming out of his ass lmfao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wonder how many people walk up to him during the day, knock on his cage and say "Polly wanna cracker?" I hope not many, but you never know when a jackass will show up.

  • It's the Faraday Cage! The suit does have to be grounded for the sparks to happen though, I think!

  • that's the first super villain!!! kinda reminds me of peter griffin from family guy. "i am not your father!! i am electric man!!" hahah lol

  • Comment removed

  • if you look at the first few seconds of the video you can see him jump off the ground.

the boots are not insulated. electricity conducts around the outside shell that he has made.

  • ...whats the point of this?
