how do yu get the fire effects for closing windows and stuff? .. im alightly new to linux. im using compiz fusion bt no feature seems to be available for fire effects:s n e help pls ?:)

Yeah I got Ubuntu 8.0.4 on dual boot with XP Corp and Vista Business Ultimate. If im not gaming Ubuntu is easily the easiest and fastest. I had troubles with the Cube Desktop as it was only showing two sides, like a double sided desktop. Compiz is amazing though. I would love it if you could msg me or comment on what effects the open/close window effect is called (it burns away when you close a window and reverses when you opens). Cheers mate, good vid.

To get the four sided cube instead of a two plane window go to system>preference>advanced desktop effects setting>general options>click the desktop size tab at the top>change the horizontal virtual size from 2 to 4.

Your drivers are not working for your ethernet. You need to update them or install them. Try going to your processor's web site and having a look in there drivers listings.

Hi, this is compiz fusion from Ubuntu 8, with many amusing set possibilities. Under Ubuntu 7.10 there is also to load. Have fun ;o)

ubuntu uses compiz manager, linuxes like fedora r mandriva use beryl, but think u can use the two in ubuntu
