these guys were at their best from about the mid 70s to early 80s.

@brtherjohn Actually, I bought the 10 cd set mainly for this concert album, as the Together double reissue, which they filled the remainder of the discs will most of the live lp, missed out the Sor and Brahms. However, to my great disappointment, the cd in the new box set misses not only the Brahms and Sor, but also the Faure.

@iwattguitar Are you serious? The entire concert can fit onto one audio CD too. Why in the world was the Sor, Brahms - and even Faure - left off? I'll have to investigate this...

@brtherjohn I have no idea why this is the case. RCA is owned by Sony now and I can only think they were careless in their production. The cds are all in mini vinyl-style sleeves and the complete listing of the original is on the back of the sleeve, but the booklet only lists the 37 minutes worth of music, leaving out the Brahms etc and the cd unfortunately matches the booklet listing.

@iwattguitar That's criminal! And yet the full concert could have fit onto one disc. Anyway, there's a European import of the such a disc with the full concert that came out 20-22 years ago. Good luck trying to find it now. I've had to be happy with concocting my own CD version featuring the Together fillers with the lp rips of the Brahms, Sor and Albeniz posted here. Thanks Sony!

@brtherjohn As a matter of fact I have that early CD release, but that too missed one piece: Oriental by Granados. It was included in a later rerelease of Together. These later CD re-releases of Together and Together Again used parts of this concert as filler and hence missed much more: This Sor piece and the lovely Brahms' Theme & variations. They do make it difficult for you piecing together the complete concert.....

@tmjcbs You are quite correct! The early CD issue of this concert left off the Oriental. And yet it could have easily fit. Also, someone told me years ago that they played more music at these American concerts than RCA would accommodate on the original two LP set. So apparently there may be more missing pieces than I thought!
