there was also a liric studios version reliced in 1998 with the following changes:

1. liric studios logo added.

2. "please stay tuned" logo added.

3. barney home video logo has sound.

4. closing previews were added, replacing the funding credits.

they probaby were reusing the closed caprions from the PBS airings of this episode.

I could tell because they didn't use closed captions on the videos until 1993, when the other Barney and Friends episodes from Season 1 came out on video, like Barney Rhymes with Mother Goose. Also, they didn't start using the Barney Home Video logo until 1993 because they didn't use in the Backyard Gang VHS reprints from 1992

Well, if you look carefully at part 3, at the beginning of the end credits, you'll notice the words "Captions Copyright 1992 The Lyons Group/DLM, Inc." on the top of the screen.

that sounds close enough. But this upload is supposed to be the same episode on video when it was repackaged, in the same way other Barney and Friends episodes had been packaged at the time.

I have this VHS, but instead, it's the PBS version with funding credits and the PBS logo included with it.

This must be a 1992 VHS, compared to the one avickers1992 has.

@thevideotour1 Was your VHS copy have the older video box with the artwork similar to Barney and the Backyard Gang videos or did it have re-packaged artwork? Or did it come with a box?

@jonghyunchung Are you sure? I have the same VHS you have, the one with the PBS funding credits and the PBS logo at the end; it's the original VHS version from 1992. The box was made in the style of the older Backyard Gang videos (with a portait of Barney on the left hand corner of the box).

@jonghyunchung I don't really think there is a 1992 VHS of this. The style artwork on the video boxes I mentioned were also used in the ORIGINAL VHS release of Barney's Magical Musical Adventure, which was released in 1993, making that Barney video and Barney's Birthday the only Barney and Friends to have that style artwork. Um, I checked eBay, they declare that this VHS (Barney's Birthday) is from September 1992. And not only that, all the Backyard Gang re-prints also have the same artwork, and they are all also from 1992.
