  • It does appear to work, but what you don't realize is you are in a death trap. I wound up with anorexia following this plan. You live in constant fear of facing "God's wrath" for doing something wrong. I walked on eggshells the whole 4 years in RF. I was involved in WD for 13 years and it was only after joining her church did I realize how wrong she was. She is a con-artist. When you leave, they treat you like road kill. Those people are totally controlled by Gwen.

  • It may work, but it comes back to bite you in the end!! This weight loss program comes at a high price, I should know, believe me. These people in the church are vicious and brutal to people who leave or they feel disobey. VERY unchristian. They were horrible to me.

  • I think the diet itself works, but just her faith and sermons isn't what we should listen to. The diet is what we want. Focusing on God first and foremost and not looking other gods such as food. Plus know when to eat and when you're full, and that is it! turn to God rather than food. don't follow anything else.

  • She denies the trinity.

  • "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost."

    I think that's a verse in the Bible ..

  • I think its sad that because we have a problem with God we

stay overweight even when a program that works is presented to us(even the person that left the church admitted that faith-based weight programs work),maybe we need to open our minds more to the possibility that there is a God and He wants us to be at our ideal weight because its more healthy for us,we will live longer,be happier and more fulfilled.Gwen teaches freedom with this program!Shes not judgemental neither is God!He loves us!

  • say what you like, but its Awesome! It works, just try it, I lost 13lbs from july12-aug 21 (today) and to be honest, i didn't wait for hunger all the time, i ate past full a few times but asked God to forgive me(and meant it)and i got back on the wagon and waited for the growl the next day. Its soo exciting but we need Gods help, all we gotta do is ask Him and He will help us!

  • @smoothsailing07 Can you give me a verse in the Bible, a teaching from Jesus, or a mandate from Paul that directly supports Gwen's belief that eating one bite "past full" is SIN? Where do you get your belief on that? Why did you ask God to forgive you .. who told you that eating this bit of food is moral failure? What verse and chapter please?

  • @Rafaeldamian Now I will ask you a question, are you asking because you really want to know?

  • @smoothsailing07 .. I mean what I say. What does the Bible say? Let me ask another question. Are you going to answer or try to get mileage over questioning my sincerity and demand for truth? What does the Word of God say?

  • @Rafaeldamian Lol! I haven't read the Bible in a couple years, and haven't really "studied" it since Sunday School, but I TOO do not recall reading anything like that! Also, I've never met a weight loss professional that has waited for "the growl". Instead they eat reasonably every 3 hours (high protein and complex carb food). For the past month I've done this and exercised intensely. Not only have I lost more than 13 lbs. of fat, I've GAINED like 6 lbs. of healthy, lean muscle mass!

  • @Rafaeldamian ROFL!! Did you see that? Who would trust a "weight loss guru" who includes french fries in her seminars/sermons? No such thing as diet food? Not only is that plate of food loaded with saturated fat, but it contains NO nutrients to fill you. Here's an idea: save the fries and burger for a few special occasions; and when your crave them on a normal day, have a lean, 80/20 burger and a baked potato with a LITTLE BIT of butter and some greek yogurt, which tasted just like sour cream

  • 3:05 big bottle of regular Coke! Haha!!

  • WE are not affiliated with them. I knew something was fishy when I went to their website.

  • The principles of the book seem fine. But be careful following a "Spiritual Leader" who denies the Trinity and starts her own church with followers who failed on this diet, to give them more attention and support. May your pounds fall away, without you falling away from the gospel. Don't be a part of Shamblin's remnant... She says focus on God, but who is her god?

  • Who is anybody's god?

  • I would just like to point out that although the church does insist on obedience to God (which is all over the bible), they do not condone harsh discipline of children, rather encourage loving correction and spanking as a very last resort. I have learned beautiful, Godly ways to train my child through the bible-based instruction at this church.

  • Oh really? Those are the brave last words used by Joseph and Sonya Smith, who tormented and then beat their child to death. All the while they were being lauded as wonderful Christian people in a RF Church camp. If that's what "Christianity" is about, then I can fully understand why atheists diss the church so completely.
