  • This is the perfect soundtrack against the SOPA.

  • Weird nerdy question...Anyone know what font they are using in this video?

  • @birdizzle Comic Sans

  • Who's the picture of between Orwell and Marx?

  • @AwesomeNinja57 Twiggy

  • props bmx...

  • @jayrockwell33: Check your chronology, kid.

  • @boristhejew yeah. stupid streets, public schools, public libraries, fucking public transportation and god damned socialized medicine in those countries that have it, fucking assholes. Stupid funding for defense and their stupid volunteer armies. Theyre fucking dumb. I want to live in anarchary and fucking let the guywith the bigget stick dictate what I do. Fuck yeah! No rules eat Ice cream for breakfast!!!

  • @morbitron6 When the people are being beaten with a stick, they are not much happier if it is called "the People's Stick." - Mikhail Bakunin.

  • @morbitron6 the government IS the guy with the big stick dipshit. do u follow their rules because you like them or you're afraid of the consequences?

  • @allwittynamestaken Shit pipe. Anarchy doesnt work because of people like you. I have a fucking moral compass and the reasoning to see that their are moments where working as a collective helps. I'm also smart enough to realize some fuck ups, like yourself, are incapable of governing themselves, so I'd rather have a system in place so you shit bags can't go around ruining everything. Is the government fucked. Yes. Will it always be, yes. It's better then a lawless you. Die.

  • @morbitron6 do you believe in democracy or dictatorship? honest question

  • @allwittynamestaken Dude, one week later. I believe in democracy. I also understand the inherent problems with it, but, it is the best system we as a people have come up with so far. Post whatever comment you just read on the internets in your defense. have at it.

  • @morbitron6 okay so you believe people are smart enough to choose their own leaders right? that they choose those leaders because they will make the decisions voters want? so how are the people smart enough to elect other people to govern them but not smart enough to govern themselves? its like choosing your boss and telling him how to boss you around but not being smart enough to be your own boss. get me?

  • @allwittynamestaken I do get you, but what you dont see is the reason people pick leaders is because they dont want to govern themselves. They pick others to do what theyre incapable of doing. Most people aren't smart enough to be their own bosses much less govern themselves with any real sense of morality or compassion. People are fucking dumb.

  • @morbitron6 "Most people aren't smart enough to be their own bosses much less govern themselves with any real sense of morality or compassion. People are fucking dumb." but they're still smart enough to choose proper leaders!?

  • @allwittynamestaken No theyre not, I.E. fucking GW Bush for 2 terms bankrupting a country with a surplus . But occasionally, enough educated people get to together & we get the lesser of two evils. You dont understand, that this is a circular argument. Everything is fucked- yes, agreed. But I would rather work within a system for change then be delusional and think 400 million people in the usa alone, with no laws, no rules, no recompense for wrong doing is somehow better.

  • @morbitron6 who said there was no recompense for wrong doing? anarchism is basically bringing government down to a community level. that way your voice is actually able to be heard.

"hitler as the chancellor of germany is a tragedy, hitler at a town meeting is an asshole" - Karl Hess

  • @allwittynamestaken Again dude, you're looking at theory vs.reality. Hess ails to admit thatHitler started as a fucking dude in a prison cell and turned into the Chancellor of Germany. That's Reality. Nomads turn to tribes, tribes to towns, etc. People need one another and the reasoning isn't "I'm a fucking capitalist, fuck socialist pukes." The reason is- people are lazy &/or stupid so the herd mentality makes things easier. You're arguing an impossibility time has proven.

  • @morbitron6 okay people are universally lazy and stupid...so we need equally lazy and stupid people to rule? haha honestly I don't understand and I don't see how this makes any sense.

the state has only existed for 4000 years and humankind has existed for 2 million, its obviously not a natural occurrence if it hasn't happened sooner. Hierarchy is kind of a new thing for us...

  • @morbitron6 oh! and p.s. I'm not arguing that people don't need eachother, of course we do, people go insane without socializing. I'm saying we don't need to DOMINATE eachother. I think most surviving tribes and tribes of the past would agree as they *usually* (note emphasis) had no central authority.

  • The Hives ripped TINC's styles right the fuck off.

  • @jayrockwell33 the hives have been around since 1993 and INC starred around 1998, there both from sweden but to be honest i like em both

  • OCCUPY US!!! NOW it's time to show these crooked wall-streeters who's really in charge. ☮

  • This band give the strength to keep going...

  • @FALLOUTMOD4321 PLEASE KILL YOURSELF!

  • Your spelling is a failure!

  • Emma Goldman @ 1:35

  • @boristhejew governments= epic failure

  • to put smash bourgeoise culture in a music video distributed by wmg is hilarious

  • dennis can really move man!!

  • It's time to re-publish the video in better quality!

  • Much as I love the INC I am saddened and disappointed to see that the embedding feature on this video has been disabled.

So much for getting the message to the masses.

  • Capitalism is a big failure!

  • @Tanastasioy I realize it's trendy to be an: Anarchist, Progressive, Liberal, Neo-Liberal, Communist, Socialist, etc., but simply making a blanket statement about how capitalism has failed just demonstrates how poorly informed you are. Even the Russians and Chinese hopped on the Capitalism band-wagon. Why? Because nothing in life is free, you pay with something. Utopia's don't work because humans have desire - Capitalism exploits this, everything else represses it.

  • @tbirdpunk hah you call me "poorly informed" judging from a freaking comment of 5 words on youtube.how should i call you then? The Big Judge Who Knows Everything About Others?I have read whole bookshelfs about economy and society and have concluded to this statement.Ok maybe capitalism had something to give to people when it replaced feudalism but right it has NOTHING to give to the people.Only to make them poorer.Just read some Marx,Engels and Lenin for fuck sake and you'll eventually understand

  • @tbirdpunk Your basicly saying every left-wing ideology is trendy, so no one really has those beliefs? they just think its cool and only the conservatives got the right idea? Russia and China? Not Communist, Stalinist-Maoist bastardization of Communism. All dictatorships fall eventually. Capitalism clearly has failed when half the world starves. "desire" or greed is promoted by capitalism. Its natural, but not to the level capitalism has it.

  • @FALLOUTMOD4321 Sorry, but - what in the hell are you talking about? This is their song. It's been out for years.

  • cheers if punk o rama 5 sent you here.

  • the harsh reality is that in a world where natural selection inevitably prevails, capitalism is the the closest form of government that mimics the act and supersedes the others, as they have in history.

  • @thetwistofcain That's because every other form of government, like, I don, know, communism, has never been set up properly. If it was done the way Marx had originally intended and not for the power of inner party members, I really think it might work. Of course, following the law of conservation, you can't just get something from nothing, so I think its important to start with a first world country who already has resources at their fingertips.

  • Love the bass and synth...so awesome!!

  • @thetwistofcain capitalism*

  • Greetings from Greece

International Monetary Fund .. we will win

  • Is this the same Lars Strömberg that used to play in Friends Unseen?

  • This just isn´t as powerful as refused... It's not bad, but it just isn't as intense

  • is epitaph even considered an indie label now?

  • has anyone noticed how the strokes riff to juicebox sounds the same as the one in this just with a little more distortion

  • AMAZING

  • I would smash it up to smash Dennis in bed.

  • Music and shit is good...

  • if you're all so intelligent and well-informed, go put that shit to use. instead of jacking off in a youtube comment thread.

  • @jimmyskinless such debate is practice. Honing important skills is important.

  • @TheLoveschach I'm not really sure that it's correct to define Marxism as a socio-political perspective. Marx's genius was in applying the dialectic to the economic realm. As an economic critic exposing the fatal seams of capitalism, he's a genius. But in social terms, he's woefully inadequate. I mean, he's a reductionist materialist who reduces humanity and human systems to variables of labor and the control of labor, similar to a capitalist reducing it to capital and the control thereof

  • @isolateslowfaults You' don't sound like you've read much by him.

  • @jojabury Au contraire. But if Marx understood social systems then I'm a shoe. At no point in Das Kapital or the Manifesto does he even mention psychology as an important factor in social interaction and politics. He didn't have the benefit of Freud and Jung as we do. Moreover, the postmarxists who have attempted to situate psychology in a Marxist context, like Marcuse, have just ended up with a steaming pile of nonsense about freeing our libidos from the alienation of a capitalist system

  • @isolateslowfaults You're wrong actually; Das Kapital covers the complexities of human thought and its relation to economical and social standings quite extensively. But you've never actually read anything by Marx, have you? As with your Freud and Jung comment; you make a somewhat decent point but remember; Marx was quite far from being off base with the psychological and philosophical ideas of his time - just take a look at his interpretations of Hegel's dialectics and Feuerbach's materialism!!

  • @TheLoveschach

Maybe not in it's ideological definition, but how it was practiced in Russia, and Communist China and a few other places is how I perceive it to be. I've heard the arguments that that wasn't pure Marxists ideology.

Research has shown me that it was western Capitalists that financed Communism around the world anyhow. Maybe there's a distinction between Communism and Marxism I don't know?

I'll just conclude, that I understand the backlash against the monopoly capitalists.

  • @TheLoveschach

Hey, I think were probably on the same page to a large degree, but I just ask you to show me one form of government in history that has been equitable and egalitarian and I'll show you a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

If you're advocating for fairness, then I applaud you. But, I'll just say it's never going to happen. You're not going to change the system, because the system is run by people and people are selfish.

Mans heart is where change begins not political ideas.

  • @TheLoveschach

I understand what you're saying about that. It's kind of a matter of semantics and definitions though. When I talk about these things, those on the right politically, call me a socialist, and the those on the left, call me a fascist!

So, as a matter of definition I'm probably neither. I advocate for fairness, unfortunately we're not ever going to have it: Basic human nature! Greed, lust for power, etc. If history has taught us anything it's that we learn nothing from it.

  • fuck all leaders in the ass. unless you like to be the one getting assfucked instead.

  • They sound so good, but they don't know shit about politics haha. Would be way better if they weren't stupid hippies.

  • Ainda acho que essa é uma banda de cuzões! HAEHAE

  • Wow, North Korea even let them borrow some clothes for this video.

  • @kippls thats mean but funny

  • this band is such a RIP OFF of THE MAKE-UP!!

  • @soundverite1231 Plagiarism is necessary. Progress implies in it!

  • @soundverite1231 not allot on youtube know of any good songs i should check out? pls

  • I can't tell if this is metaphorical in nature or is meant as a tribute to the socialist/communists of the past. If it's a tribute then it's misguided, if it's rhetorical then whatever!

Anyone idealizing the communist thugs anywhere is a pathological personality IMO!

Sure, there are capitalist thugs too, lest anyone think I'm just picking on the lefties. Commies-Capitalists what's the difference, all financed by wealthy, international financiers. The power elite are using both groups to an end.

  • @n8tureboy and it will never end it's in human nature to care about the well being of yourself and your kin which means you will always put yourself or your family first and inevitably every political system shall fail as people all have needs(water shelter food etc.) but who decides on the "wants"?

  • @highves

That's correct. Someone has to decide and we appoint or elect officials to carry out our desires; unfortunately they so often carry out their own desires. Your comment is accurate. It's all about human nature in the end.

If we weren't so greedy I presume things might be better?

  • This really is a fun song just to chill out on with a bass. For all those ideological arguments going on, your missing the point. Schisms and 'isms as they say. Creativity, passion, love are all sound principles regardless of your politics.

  • "Passion destroyed is reborn in the passion for destruction" will be my next tattoo

  • Death to all tyranny

  • @drizztf88 Im sure socialists do not call themselves collectivists just as they probably think their farts don't stink either. Socialism IS collectivism, socialism is just one out of many various forms of it. Can you honestly argue there was any difference between the national socialists of germany and the communists of russia??

  • @taylorlutz

Individualism and collectivism are a false dichotomy.

I do not really care about those terms(let alone the internet cult that goes by the name of "objectivism")

As for the last question you can start by studying history.

  • @taylorlutz

Because they had totally different economic systems?

  • Comment removed

  • @taylorlutz

Yet in the subsequent sentence he also warns of the tyranny of private ownership over the means of production: ... that a return to 'free' competition means for the great mass of people a tyranny probably worse, because more irresponsible, than that of the state.]

    (from Wikipedia on collectivism)

He was a socialist, research just a little before you type.

  • @drizztf88

He was/is a marxist but yeah iy's true

  • @taylorlutz And socialists don't call theirselves collectivists.

  • I don't you'll be smashing up anything in those nice suits.

  • Zapata!

  • @ZombiesNTea communism doesnt work if you rely on an exclusively revolutionary class to destroy another system. after the revolutions over that class will have nothing left to do but become the ruling class. nature abhors a vaccuum. you cant conquer authority without first having authority over yourself.

  • @facelessinternetuser Communism doesn't work because of human nature, simple as that.

Say someone bought an island and everyone who believed in communism moved there, and no one got any more power than someone else(well, hope no weapons were there, and no one was power hungry) then it'd work perfectly. Even then though, there's room for mistakes due to humans.

All animal farm did was scare the fuck out of me. Walking pigs? No.

Anywayyy I actually enjoy this band and song!

  • @PandaFacelovesyou ...lord of the flies

  • Comment removed

  • I love song and video!

  • isnt the singer the same guy in the band refused?

  • @NYJETS1973 Yes

  • @NYJETS1973 yup

  • @NYJETS1973 Yup.

  • this is my situationist jam

  • They look like The Hives in this video...

  • @nomyek200 I'd say they look like The Make Up. No doubt about that.

  • The Clash... nice taste...

  • @m36am1k3 Damn you're so right man!...you know why? coz we are afraid, we forgot that democracy supposedly about people power, We should make our fucking leaders see we are the power and not them!!

  • the girl at the keyboard is hot

  • @karoloandria I fucked her when we were in high school. She wanted me to fuck her in the ass, but back then I was grossed out by anal sex that I never talked to her again.

  • @spookypig

    bad story bro

  • Perhaps what the band means here with regards to freedom is limited to the creative sphere and that it should be. I got this from the text at the start of this video. Maybe I could be wrong.

  • What would people (all people) do if everyone had total freedom then?

  • @RockHimselfthe2nd right now they'd be a bunch of greedy assholes, because the current system teaches us to be greedy assholes. That's why worker's syndicates, food co-ops and other groups based on equality and solidarity are so important. We need an enviroment to unlearn what we've been taught. After all, human beings develop within the context of groups and much of our behaviors comes from what those groups teach.

  • Why do shitty bands like this go on for 12 years but bands like Refused only last 4 years?

  • @dissectional75 That's what makes them legendary and special. It's a goddamn shame though.

  • while refused is amazing , to call tinc a shitty band is a blind statement, tinc are wonderfully different and lyrically intense.

  • back @ ilikethecure: Whoa, who said anything about heroes? I was quoting a famous author, not trying to speak for him. Why don't you go find your closest living female relative and "cherry-pick" her?

  • I'm very happy to see that Dennis Lyxen hasn't grown up a bit! Hes mellowed out quite a bit, but this is the only song I've heard so far, on to the next one!

  • Their messages are not wasted :) Look at the comments - discussions and debates

  • Wow really?

  • I thought this band was situationist. nice lyrics and messages!

  • George Orwell said a communist/socialist society is merely one in which the resources are controlled by an even smaller minority. You can disagree with the statement, but you can't deny Orwell said it (in 1984...go pull a copy from the library)

  • Even George Orwell wrote 1984, he was a convinced socialist. he just hated the intepretation of socialism and communism of the sovjets. thats he worte 1984 and animal farm...

  • @Amagra1 and, more importantly, Homage To Catalonia ;)

  • is that what he experienced amongst the Spanish Anarchists? No.

  • I get your point. still all anarchists are not communism. some tend to believe in anarcho-collectivism (similar to anarcho-communism indeed), some other are primitivists, etc

  • *communists.

  • Proudhon the father of modern anarchism was indeed a collectivist , Bakunin was in the First International whit Karl Marx and Proudhon too . Anarchism was born out of the anti-statist / anti-authoritarian wing of the the first international . This split in this old socialist organization gave birth to anarchism as we know it study some history .

  • hmmm..well yeah...its just that leaders of today are eaten by their power...and greed..but i think all system should be focusing in just one aim...for the people to be treated equal!!

  • that's called anarcho-communism, and I agree it's the only true expression of communism, embracing the good and social instincts of humans, based on solidarity.

  • why can you say communism is the opposite of capitalism??well i guess, its quite the same in a way...what i believe in is that all system are meant to be the same.. to treat us equally...to see our rights in full view....to let the big guys see were human being like them!!!

  • But that is always the end result of communism, is a huge paradox just like democracy ends up being undemocratic . The good news is democracy is better than the rest .

  • "communism is a socieity without government" is a sysem

"communism is a principle and movement in history" is propaganda

  • government truly is a failure..they never make the difference, never make the nation a better place..actually, they're the ones who makes things more worst, drowned by power, lame-ass losers trying to lead the real leaders!!!

  • Governments be they Communist or Democratic do not run things , it's the poeple who run things .

  • "but communism isn't a system" , is a system

  • true communism is anarchocommunism. state communism is a utopian idea. state communism is another form of exploitation mate. ANARCHY FOR A FREE HUMANITY.

cheers and beers. listen to Crass. byebye.

  • Comment removed

  • in theory that what it is, but it doesnt work that way because there are to many ignorant people in this world. humans are too inferior a race for anything like that to work.

  • The 'in theory' argument.... Uhhh... Communism is a system, it's just not a political system. Never trust anyone who tells you they have a communist government.

    Viva la loco!

  • I hate captialism, but why do so many people in the punk scene support communism, and not Minarchism, Left-libertarianism, or a libertarian Republic?

  • I don't think there are many actively Marxist bands in the punk scene. Punk bands with radical politics tend to not go into specific and label an ideology and instead focus on issues closer to their hearts.

  • well bands no, but I met allot of people in the punk scene that have Marxist beliefs

  • Can't see I have met any specifically Marxist people on the punk scene around here except for people who team up with the SWP group.

  • Well, first, punk as a scene is known for it's flirtation with "anarchy", although comparatively few punk bands are true anarchists.

Second, one could argue anarchism is just a more extreme version of libertarianism, and ergo, anarcho-communism is the purest form of left-libertarianism.

  • get refused back this stuff blows !

  • ok I get. it..someone tell me what communist or socialist system gives the "power to the people". Where can they can freely speak out against their government?

  • Look up council communism, left communism, classical marxism, anarcho-syndicalism, and anarcho-communism. There's a rich tradition in the anti-capitalist movement that greatly values liberty.

  • system are used to corrupt human minds.. the one who controls system is a human that abuse power over other human.... dude supposedly humans are equal! you wish you are special but you're not different to others.. you eat drink and sleep

  • retro....

  • Live you are so much better :D :D :D

  • Our faith in the few is what fucks us over.

  • There's no perfect system.

  • There are perfect systems - there are no perfect people.

  • but if there are no perfect people shouldnt said perfect systems be made to counter act or use that, there fore there are no perfect systems.

  • A "perfect system" that has to make up for human's imperfections is not perfect.

  • People like to forget that George Orwell was a lifelong socialist. He just hated Stalinism and indeed all tyranny because of his experiences during the Spanish Civil War.

  • Word

  • @Synskin - Orwell was practically politically indifferent for the majority of his life. "lifelong socialist" is stretching it.

  • Brilliant......but censored.....what the f***?

  • Communism isn't as bad as people believe it is. Our school/goverment (Speaking for United States) has convinced us we have the best goverment. They opress our minds as children from something as small as being told to say the Pledge. The USSR shouldn't be the Spoke Person for communim. Communism can be a good thing, don't form an opinion based on bias notes you take at school. Do research and keep an open mind then tell us what you think.

  • I agree with you...so and china shouldn't be the Spoke Person for communim.

  • first line is all you needed to say, communism sounds so good on paper but then it turns to shit.

  • Ha ha. You aren't very smart are you?

China's 'socioeconomic system' is essentially the same as America's at this point. They aren't, and haven't been, remotely communist since well... ever really. Perhaps under Mao you could argue they at least made attempts to move towards a communist-esque system, but never classical communism. And at this point it is a pseudo free market economy based around a huge prision and military industrial complex... like America! How about that!
