"Discovered" by a Danish producer, Robertino was extremely popular in Denmark. I myself loved him at the age of 12 (my age). I even tried to imitate his singing of O sole mio. I'm now 60 and I still love him. What a voice and what an empathy for such a young kid. Absolutely beautiful.

Dont' know exactly what happened to him in his career, but I think he had the potential for a "second Caruso or Gigli".

Robertino Loretti (born in 1947) is an Italian singer, mostly known for songs he performed as a teenager.

He was born in Rome, Italy to the large family with eight other children. His family was poor and when he was 10 his father fell sick and Robertino was helping family delivering bakery to restaurants. He enjoyed singing the folk songs on his way and was noticed by people due to his beautiful voice.

I love them both, and I cannot tell which one is the best. They are quite different to compare or contrast againt each other. Both of them are the best.

I'm sorry to disgree, but they are not different in meter. They are both in 4/4 time. You can tell the correct meter by the meter of the words. Quanno fa NOTte o sole se ne SCEne...like that. The syllable NOT of NOTte (notte) is on the strong beat (the 1st beat of the measure), and SCE of SCEne (scene) is also on a strong beat, which makes it 4/4 or Common time.
