In the UK, the wage of orchestral musicians is about half that of other professionals, little more than the national average. So buy the CD! They need any extras they can get. (Simon Rattle gets rock star money, but the players certainly don't...)

I know this is a crazy idea, but..... you could actually purchase *gasp!* a recording. Wait, you're right, what was I thinking.....everything should be free to everyone and on demand. @nocturon: Nice job of cutting this in about the only place it made sense to put a break.
