  • I enjoyed the video!

  • Apple users rushing to the new temple of Jobs, never realizing they bought the temple with their overpaying for their pretty underpowered computers.

Bottom end Imac, dual core, 2 gig ram OR a quad core, blu ray, 4 gig windows system, yeah, I choose windows

  • @johnmonk66 Its all about usability. Not just power will not make life easy. If you use a Unix or DOS (If Dos made for 64 bit ) they are very powerful in many ways. Only thing is that its not easy to use. Windows XP or RedHat are much better than Command line. Windows 7 much better a XP in terms of easy of use and features. Mac OS X is much much easier to use and power with the features. So, It doesn't make sense to use a DOS or XP on a power Machine. I will go for a better OS than Win 7.

  • When they make a better os then windows 7 I will buy it

  • yeah when window 7 came out SO late after all the failures ms has made

  • failures, like windows XP, the most popular operating system on Earth?

  • @johnmonk66 : Eg: With Mac OS X with few clicks i can scale down 500 images to 20% in few mins. I can rename, trim, convert to PDF, print documents and make the OS repeat the tasks automatically by launching the multiple Mac OS X apps (instead of me waiting for each app launch to complete and click another) and many many more.

Power lies is ease of use and simplicity for office work and home related works. For games i have Sony PS3. With Mac OS X grand central Mac Pro is very powerful.

  • all the mac promises are not something i believe. i bought a new macbook pro, i watch two hours of netflix, my computer wants more ram. i surf youtube for an hour, my macbook wants ram. all these lies about multi-tasking, i can't even do one thing without my macbook eventually asking for more ram.

my windows netbook , with half the speed and half the ram, burns dvd to ipod while i am watching netflix and never has a ram problem. no, i will be selling this macbook pro

  • @johnmonk66 I think there is an Issue with the hardware. Please do a hardware test or take to Apple store. I have a old Macbook pro with 2GB that came by default. It works just fine. If you have Macbook pro unibody then it recently introduced machine and might have hardware issues. Try updating it with latest firmware or try getting to Apple store. It strange any computer works fine with Minimum 2GB ram. Except Vista.

  • Have you been to the apple store? seriosly, look at the screensaver on the new imacs after no one touches it for a while, the screensaver runs jumpy. Nah, something apple is doing is requiring too much ram.

And my hanheld OQO model 02 with only 1 gig of ram runs vista just fine

  • @johnmonk66 I haven't experienced anything like what you said. 2GB with 1066 Mhz clock speed it can easily run Photoshop without a hitch. If you are saying screen saver needs more RAM.. I really don't understand what you have seen. My Old Macmini solo with 512 MB runs flawlessly. In Apple store there is Demo prog running and it might because of the program .. not RAM

  • I can not agree, the same program runs on every mac in the store, but only on the imacs was it choppy, that was why I bough the macbook pro because it wasn't choppy. But I watch some netflix, then close safari after the movie is over, open email and up comes the ram ball.

  • really? when i need to change the name of a picture in iphoto i have to go into 'info' and manually change them one at a time. on windows, i can sellect them all, give them one name and windows labels each one with a different extension, for example "Weekend"(1), "Weekend"(2), windows adds the numbers. i have not seen a way to do that with mac

  • @johnmonk66 "really? when i need to change the name and manually change them one at a time. on windows"

LOL. In the first place you are ignorant . And, you say "really?" as if you are an expert in Mac.

For Rename in iPhoto you need select choose batch change for renaming all photos.

I was talking about Automator which is much powerful.

youtube for "Mac Tips:(AUTOMATOR) How to rename multiple files in OS X FAST."

You can do thousands of things with this not just rename.

  • @johnmonk66

Automator was introduced as a default feature with Tiger in 2004. It can be used for many repeated task. Rename it has many options and also do many thing like chaning photo format, changing the Photo size etc.

Windows 7 need to catchup with Mac OS X of 2004.

Google for " automator leopard example"

  • @johnmonk66 Youtube for my video to see what i meant and what you understood.

    youtube

"Rename, Resize, Change Image format with automator"

  • Took a look at it, seems like a handy program, similar to how I could do it on Windows, not the resizing though, never had reason to resize.

  • @johnmonk66 it is a handy program you fucking retard. No offence, but you know nothing of relevant technology!

  • @cleetusmack Wow, this homosexual follows me all over the internet and keeps trying to pick me up. What's wrong mr. clitusmaximus? No one else will talk to you? Are you lonely? Are you so desperate for attention you spend your lonely nights tracking me down? What a sad thing you are.

  • @johnmonk66 John, we have something special. I want to keep tabs on you. You know me better then anyone else ;)

  • @cleetusmack lonely piece of shit won't shut up

  • I've also made it my goal to track you for the rest of your tenure on YouTube. I will expose you.

  • Like you, I'm not a fan of "cloud computing". I don't think its quite ready for "primetime".

  • i like that browser based itunes preview thing...

  • those shoes don't look comfy at all. what the heck'?

  • Linux based???? Don't you mean Unix? Both OS X and Linux are based on the Unix code.

  • And Google is using Linux as a base for their new OS. Thus, "Linux based"

  • I love Apple. We have an 2 Apple stores in Manchester and then we also have retailers that sell Apple products

  • I know what u mean the closest Apple store is 80km away.

  • Can't wait to see what kind of Microsoft store they're gonna open in the city. I doubt they can top Appel even though the one in Arizona is pretty nice from the videos I've seen.

  • They already have opened two Microsoft stores -plans for more.

  • I am gonna go see the new Apple Temple tomorrow.

  • Those shoes need an Intel Atom.
