A fact! there is more oil in the earths crust than what we have been told, its all about capping and limiting exstraction so what we pay at the fuel/gas pump is what we pay. You have been duped mate. There is basically two types of capitalism. The first Keynesian economics the second monetarism (both are floored). The first used in the US from the end of the second world war which resulted in a poorer elite and a much richer Middle and working class. The second used since, resulting in poorer Middle and working class and a much richer elite. The system the world has is NOT giving you the fruits of your labour!

However reality is against everyone! World GDP is around $65 trillion. There are around 6.7 billion of us. Now if this was shared evenly we would each get $10,000. However even at this level we are taking around 1/4 to 1/3 more than the world can replace each year! I am part way through a biology degree. When you study the natural world you are hit by what is increasingly an unthinkable thought in the general population and that is we are A species on the planet not THE species on the planet. Humans are important but so are the other species! People are so busy competing with each other that other species barely get a look in. But it is the other species that support the system on which civilization is constructed.

A study was done a few years back that showed that the natural world is supplying $30 trillion to the economy - even if that figure hasn't grown since the study, that is basically HALF of the global economy is supplied by the natural world.
