I saw this film last night on TCM. Evelyn Keyes was a very underrated and versatile actress. She played sweet girls and villains with equal verve. I can't even begin to imagine what she was like in real life. Film historian Robert Osborne, who knew her, said that her alluring personality was never really captured on film.
She was married to John Huston for a while.
