hello.......great to hear you are a fingerstyle player! CD does a good job with gospel tunes and i'll know you'll enjoy working this up - all the best,
i have only seen a couple - i have a Lawence Juber video because i wanted to work up a couple of his tunes - Homespun Videos would be a good place to start.
Hi Dale, thanks for posting this video, that was really good. God bless you in your playing and worship, as that will continue to encourage many. Bless you, Gerald
Dale I have emailed your links to many friends to let them get the blessing that I have enjoyed today. Like you, I've grown up in church, singing these songs. I've found over the years that these songs become very comforting. I can still hear my mom singing this song, and she's been gone almost 9 years. Thanks so much for posting. You are obviously very talented. God bless.
This is very kind and encouraging - I appreciate your kind words and I do hope these tunes will spark wonderful memories for those you've shared with. I sure appreciate you watching, dale.
I really enjoyed your rendition !!!! It reminded me a lot of a guitarist by the name of Dwayne Friend when he played at our church. Chet Atkins even nicknamed him MR. GOSPEL GUITAR. Keep pickin' brother it sounds great!!!!
Thanks for watching and your kind words. I'm not familiar with this gentleman, but what compliment from Chet!! He must be some great player, thanks for sharing, dale.
While having the privilege of having dinner with Dwayne, he told of running around Nashville together as kids with Chet. Both he and Chet learned to play at the same time. Dwayne has been playing and ministering the gospel nationwide for at least 30 years or more. 1970 he received 2 Dove Awards, one as instrumentalist of the year and for song of the year. All of us musicians(myself included) could learn alot. He is truly an extraordinary guitarist!!
I really appreciate you tell me about this gentleman. Is there anywhere I could find some of his music? Sounds like an amazing player and sounds like equally as great a person. Thanks for sharing this info. with me.
Ken you are very kind! I'm am so thankful to discover your great gift for music and sharing the joy it brings to you with others! You are a special person with a special gift and I'm glad we met via YT! Merry Christmas and have a great new year, dale.

Tks 4 posting. This is one of my favorite hymns.
I'm just beginning to learn to play alt-bass style while picking melody.
This one is definitely going on my list to learn ! Mind if I 'borrow' a few ideas from your version ?

What a fantastic arrangement - it puts mine to shame. It has got real bounce and a lovely rich tone.
