  • are you all listening to a click track on stage in head phone? If so, any drawbacks, or tips for doing this in a way that still allows you to communicate with the band and audience?

  • Why do you use the Midi Sport 2x2 when your motu 828 interface has midi in and out??

    Scott :)

  • heres what we use

    youtube(dot)com/watch?v=e6CVPEAq0Tg

thanks for sharing what you guys use

  • why the DI? Preamps?

  • @fatrock1204 best / easiest way to get the audio to the soundboard.

  • curious does having all your songs on one set slow down the computer? normally people make a new set for every new show/setlist/service.

  • @jallstars not during the set... it just takes a little longer to launch the application.

  • How do you get all your songs into one set with different tempos. I want to do that and I have all my loops set up but i cant change tempos between scenes. any help would be appreciated!

  • @mchouston in the clip view, check out the far right column, underneath the heading "Master". these are your scene launch buttons. by default, they're labeled 1, 2, 3, and so on. select one of those and hit command+R (or right-click and go to Rename) to rename it. rename one of your scene launch buttons "140 bpm" for example. now, whenever you trigger that button, the tempo will change to that bpm.

  • @tramphibian Thanks so much matt!

  • does the aBility controller work with Mainstage?

  • @EdgeQ yes

  • again thanks for the video my man. Quick question...is the click coming from your computer and how is it synched with ableton.

  • the click comes from ableton

  • love the video. thank you so much for the help. we are just getting in to using loops at our church that was a big help to see how you run everything.

  • Thank You, Very good, I was looking for that MIDI Controler.

  • Very cool video, nice walk thru on Live. Do you route the click to the drummer or the whole band?

  • everything goes through a separate channel on the snake: LOOP L, LOOP R, CLICK, TAMBOURINES

that way the sound guy can mix things appropriately. So the Click is sent to anyone who wants it (from the monitor board).

  • Yo Matt!

Excellent video, dude; very nice description of your working environment. I work a lot with LIVE and it never fails to amaze me how everyone finds their own way to use it!

Many thanks, and be well -

  • Sweet Matt. Ive always wanted how you were running your loops. Pretty sweet
