  • he is trying very hard but the magic is gone.it happens to people when they try to get

more from what they already have. the gifted" cat stevens" is gone a true song must come

from the the Troubadour himself not from his Sheikh

  • love this song...

  • As a Christian I like this song....

  • I love how content he is. That is what faith in God and moral condemnation looks like. He may try to work against evil in this world, but he knows whatever is left, God will deal with.

  • This Christian loves Yusuf.

  • @Christlovesanimals did you know that yusuf is same as joseph ? it is just the arabic version

  • names dont matter the music does......long live his music......its all a moot question ...any way.listen and enjoy

  • Disgusting human being. He advocated and threatened with murdering Salman Rushdie for writing a book and supported Khomeini's fatwa against the author. Those who are proud of this morally corrupt scumbag should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. And why on earth do muslims only discuss a man made concept called religion? Your minds are enslaved. Religious people will simply believe anything! Tell them about an illiterate man flying around on a horse and they believe it straight away... Sad.

  • @olavm91 I dont know a lot about islam but i know enough to know you believed anything you heard about islam. you hear about a muslim who is "evil" and you believe it straight away...sad

get your facts straight before you say the first thing you think.

  • @jgunter95 Perhaps you don't know much about islam but I do. Ive read the Quran & Hadith. When it comes to "getting my facts straight" you should check out the video "Cat Stevens Calls For The Death Of Salman Rushdie" and stop being a political correct useful idiot. Have a nice day ; )

  • @olavm91 and why dont you go to his website and see what he says about that and stop being a racist idiot who believes everything the internet says. have a nice day ;)

  • @jgunter95 1) Im actually anti-racist so stop using such a disgusting and desperate straw man. 2) The defintion of an idiot is someone who is ignorant of politics. I study politics, so im clearly not an idiot. 3) I don't "believe everything the internet says" when im refering to a video where Yusuf Islam HIMSELF on TAPE advocates the murder. Again, look up the video "Cat Stevens Calls For The Death Of Salman Rushdie" and stop making a fool of yourself.

  • @olavm91 you first do something 0.0001% of what he has done for the world and then make such a comment. Everybody knows idiot and ignorant people are disgusting.

  • @dx1991v6 This man have advocated the grotesque MURDER of a civilian author and you people keep making excuses for it. Shame on you! And because he is famous he is immune from all criticism? What an amazingly stupid comment to make. Your second sentence makes no sense because of your bad English. That's what you get when you have read only one book in your life.

  • @olavm91 lol you didnt even read one book in your life :) i feel it when i read you

  • @TheBadromeo7 that's pretty inaccurate. there is a direct correlation between religious beliefs and low levels of education. and low levels of iq I might add. so it's actually religious people who don't read more than one book. if they took their time and read books on real subjects, other than fairytales, they would have revealed their religions as false, misleading, immoral and in direct conflict with science and human welfare.

  • @olavm91 Honestly, I was understanding you, about your point of view whereby he should not be immune from all criticism. But you do not understand anything about religion; you don't understand that science and human welfare are absolutely not in contradiction with God, given that religion is supposed to transcend everything.

  • @olavm91 no offence meant, but your vision of religion is narrow-minded, all of the people who believe in God do not all read only one book; in my case, I haven't read the Torah yet, but it does not prevent me from trusting in God. And objectively, I am not receiving a low level of education.

  • @239677nico So you think that the truth and the light is placed in the Torah by God and you still haven't bothered to read it? I do understand religion. Went to a christian school for 6 long years. Religion morals include killing people for apostasy, punishing people for being gay, for breaking the sabbath, for having sex without being married, it mandates slavery, suppression of women etc. How is this not in conflict with human welfare?

  • @olavm91 You see? That's exactly what I mean, you don't understand ANYTHING about religion, being religious does not mean that you have to be a fanatic or some hard-lined believer, the reality is much harder...

  • @olavm91 What you say is too much GENERAL, you talk about slavery, women, etc I mean it makes no sense, everybody can believe in God and be against slavery.

  • @olavm91 And religion morals do not include killing people, where the hell do you get it from? I have never been told that killing non-jews was good, never been told that women were inferior to men. I'll be clear, you're totally wrong. Religion is not only about a great white-bearded man in the sky and a book that a religious man follows without thinking, you can't reduce religion to those facts. It's a lot more and I can't describe it (because religion transcends).

  • @239677nico Of course can people believe in God and be opposed to slavery, im talking about the so-called holy books, im talking about specific religions - the buracracy between heaven and earth. Nobody should take monopoly on the truth like that and claim to know Gods will without evidence. Deism is ok, theism is a bit more tricky. The bible tell you to kill gays, kill your children if they disobey, kill witches (!) and the list goes on. Human well being is simply not the priority.

  • @olavm91 And some people feel good with religion and don't separate their welfare from religion, you can't decide such a thing for them.

And religion do not block rational moral discussions (you're evidence of it) and religion is not rational, so there is a conflict between religion and human welfare only because you decided it. To me there is no reason to oppose a rational point of view (science, welfare or whatever you want) to an irrational one (religion :) ).

  • @239677nico How can the explicit mandate for slavery in the bible have another interpretation or meaning? People had slaves with reference to the bible for hundreds of years until secularists finally outcompeted the religious in a moral secular discussion. And many religious people out there are telling me what to do. Most muslims around the world wants sharia for example, which includes punishment for "blasphemy", "immoral sexual behaviour" etc.

  • Comment removed

  • @239677nico When it comes to the moral dimention religion gives moral commandments. Don't work on the sabbath for example, punish homosexuals or beat your kids to death if they disobey, or don't allow women to do public speaking etc. How can this not have an effect on human welfare? A negative effect I might add. In Iran, on religious grounds, they killed two happy young, unmarried people for making consensual love. Now, what part of that story do you think undermines human welfare?

  • @olavm91 Ok bro I'll be clear, actually I don't know what to answer you, because I don't know what to say! i work during chabbat, does it mean I am a bad jew? You criticize people who are too religious because you don't find them opened enough and you critic those who do not respect enough the tenets of their religion, WHAT CAN I SAY?

Don't be naive because you're not, you can't blame people who feel better thinking that there is some foreign extra force above, what is wrong with it?

  • @olavm91 You don't need to take examples such as in Iran, I know what is happening, I'm just telling you that religion, islam this case, is not about killing two young, it's a lot more! I mean, religion is not about beating your kids, not about killing people,...

Why do you absolutely want to find something rational when it is NOT rational by definition? For the last time, religion is not about some examples of bad consequences of hard-lined religious people.

  • @olavm91 And let's be clear, I hate Ahmadinedjad, and I disapprove the death of these two young and I know that there are MANY many other examples, but that is not religion, just insane guys who are so hard-lined that they did not understand religion more than you. These guys suck, but they do not represent religion! And that's all

  • Comment removed

  • @239677nico They do this because it's in the religious texts. That means that this IS religion. Of course religion is more than these horrible commandments and untrue notions about the world. But why don't religious people then remove those immoral verses? Why don't they remove the verses which are scientifically wrong? Why preserve what is untrue and what is immoral? Why dont just keep the good bits? Because then there would be no religion, only science and secular morality.

  • @olavm91 WELL they don't remove what is scientifically wrong because science has nothing to do with religion (actually that is my point of view, for the reason I gave you, no need to repeat it I guess :) ). And as I told you, good people do not follow EVERY THING which in these books. Those who do, the hard-lined people, are simply beyond the pale. But you can't change biblical texts for the mere reason that they are not adapted anymore to the time.

  • @olavm91 Religious texts are not religion, they are just a part of a specific religion; in my case, I'm jewish but I guess I have my own vision of God, I suppose that religion is also about the way you feel about some transcendent potential God, and not only about what is practical and concrete because it would mean that I reject the idea that God is above, mysterious, etc etc (very hard to explain)

  • @olavm91 Ok you seem to allude especially to islam; I can guarantee you that terrorists and those insane people with dangerous medieval tenets (I hate them too) are not representative of their religion, they are wrong. These people did not understand their own religion.

  • @olavm91 I've just got an example: I heard that according the Koran, jews are damned (too bad for me), but that does not mean that muslims have to hate us back, and it does not prevent me from having a good relationship with the muslims I meet.

  • @239677nico What you have done here, pretty cleverly I must add, is to remove religion from the empirical sphere, from the moral sphere, from it's orthodoxy and texts AND from it's followers! You have made religion immune from any criticism but at the same time, in order to avhieve it, reduced it to nothingness. This is the invisible cloak religion takes on when under criticism. When not under criticism it's all over the place causing misery and spreading lies wherever it can.

  • @239677nico So in your opinion religion is only about what the individual personally feels about God? People claiming to "feel" Gods will should be accused for blasphemy. Gods will can be revealed in nature through rationality, evidence, science. We can feel pain, which is bad, and happiness which is good. Therefore it's Gods will to work towards happiness. Religious dogmas mislead people from truth, science and rationality leads us there. And to Gods will, if there is such a thing.

  • @olavm91 ah nice one :)

What I mean is that you can't criticize religion for what it is, not because it is bad, but because it makes no sense. But you can criticize some specific religion practices that you disapprove, such as gay-bashing or slavery (in my case I never heard anything saying that slavery was good). I should have said it earlier actually.

  • @olavm91 About the question of pain and happiness, my theory is that is there was no pain, then there would be no happiness, given that happiness is relative to pain. Anyway it is just a theory, and even if I had no explanation (even when I don't have an explanation), then I guess that science will give me the answer some day or that it is just part of a plan or some thing like that. Or I just don't give a care and say "Alright, it doesn't matter anyway".

  • Comment removed

  • @239677nico Well said.

  • @olavm91 ok I realize it is impossible to be clear on the Internet, so no need to debate about it on youtube, I'm not gonna tell you that you should believe in God because I hate to force people about it, I disapprove conversion (even those who want to become jewish).

Just know that religion is infinitely more complex than what you think. I only reproach atheists with being convinced that religion is THE bad thing of the world and reducing it to "believing in God", whereas it is a lot harder.

  • @239677nico And yes, the bible mandates slavery too. I think we should define a common goal: Increase the level of human welfare. That implies independence from religion and any other ideology for that matter, and a more pragmatic approach. Religion blocks a rational moral discussion by saying: I know God's will so there is nothing more to discuss. Instead people should critically evaluate the consequences of a certain pattern of action, regardless of religious beliefs.

  • @olavm91 Well I'm not gonna tell you what to do, you're just TOO pragmatic whereas we're talking about religion, I mean it is normal that a christian says "I have the truth", if not, christianism would not exist anymore...

Ok one more thing, even if the bible mandates slavery, 1) that does not mean that you have to follow everything written in the Bible (Christianism still exists but slavery does not in my country), and 2) what is written in religious books can have several interpretations.

  • @olavm91 Not as sad as you, your hatred and your character assassination

    of a beautiful human being.

  • no matter what name you know him by there is only ONE G-d! And we all will be judged one day. Be good in your heart or bad, no matter. G-d will know! sometimes people go to the extremes (What some may consider extreme) to find what is most important to them. But only when that extreme is used against others is it wrong! There is only ONE!!

  • "ALL RELIGIONS ARE PASSPORTS TO THE SAME HEAVEN"

I like Yusuf Islam's music. His soul music in particular. This song is a bit cheesy in my opinion, but a nice tune and a nice message anyway. A bit self-righteous, but I guess it's impossible to have an all-encompassing song about 'God'

Stay positive and keep on loving music \nn/

  • Anyone on here care to mention the gorgeous MUSIC?

  • There is an online Islamic Board Game?

    it is really amazing!!!

    tinyurl(dot)com/Our5Pillars

  • im so lucky for him,he looks like so happy with islam.and islam is the Truth yusuf you and more than a milliard know that, thank you for this song

we will see where we belong in the end

  • death of the Islam

  • @MetalEradicator

truth ... I like the search for it ... but I think we can never know for certain if what we know is truth.

controlling death ... I'm an advocate of voluntary euthenasia .. but that's another topic ...

peace ... this we agree on ... thank you for your peaceful wishes ... same for you, metaleradicator .. that's the best we can wish for one another.

  • @freeoffaith yes islam means salam ,i live in europe and i help european too we are all people.i am muslim and i believe that my religion is the truth but that dont means i hate the other people.i wish you all the right way

  • Every time when I listen this song, it returns me to my Salat (Pray). It remids me the truth. It reminds me that life is a exam room. We should get the pass mark. Alhamdulilah. Do the salat please. This is the purpose of our life.

  • @MetalEradicator My great-grandfather was a holy man in the tribe. He would gather a circle of people together and place a large rock in the center. Beginning with the person to his left, he would ask, "Tell me what you see." Each would tell it differently. At the end he would point to the rock and say, "There. That is God. You each see God differently but still God remains God."

  • Compassion, empathy, intelligence, understanding ... you don't need belief in a deity for those.

  • The problem with religions is not just all the wars they have caused but everybody is so sure their God is thee God. I think people are greedy. They don't just want to be right, they want reward after they have spent their lives. That too is greed.

  • you know it's a good song when you get goosebumps...

  • Of course not!, and deep in you, you know that we have to live our life and built our history NOW. We can't "remake" the past with their mistakes so let our "bon-sens" (sorry, i don't know how to say it in English) make it. Keep love and share it to anyone, even if you don't appreciate the way of their spirituals or religions feelings. " Don't give up the (right) fight"!!!

  • we gonna know the real score in the end...

  • God is great - Whether you are a Jew, a Christian, a Muslim, a Bahai etc , there is ONE God - Get to know Him !

  • @MsArtitude

    Your right !!!!!!

  • i thank god am a muslim. Allah created everything people have, and we will all have to surrender to his greatness at the end. so why don't we do it now before it's too late. Do it before god might not accept us later, because we had been given the chance to surrender to him and believe there is only one god and mohmed is his messenger but took it for granted.

  • @lailashop185 Only Jesus Christ died for yours and my sins. to follow this first diety allah is to spend an eternity in hell. so many muslims who have been tricked by satan will find this out on judgement day. there is no paradise with 72 virgins waiting for muslims, only an eternity with fire and brimstone. please come to Jesus and repent of your sins before you take your last breath on this earth, because afterwards it will be to late.

  • @MrNathan791 go to hell christainty is a flawed man made polythestic baseless religion Islam completes Christainty and as for Jesus he is Quoted more in the Quran than the Bible

also 72 Virgins is a disputed narration and is disclaimed by manyt Muslims

Muslims dont need to come to Jesus since Jesus is a Muslim by the real name of Isa Bin Maryam (AS) and worshipped the only and true God

it is too late for you and your satanic Curch and pedophile pope it is too late for your moron

  • @MuslimSoldier187 This is not the way to invite people to peace (Islam) Jesus was a Prophet and his religion was a revelation from the same God that revealed the Quran and Torah. Invite people in a kind way. Understand that people grow up in different societies and learn things that become a part of the,. The Prophet Mohammad stood up for a Jew who had died. People said why? His reply was "Is he not a soul" Mohammad was a mercy your words are not merciful.

  • @plavgusinjeworld insult for insult truth against falsehood eye for an eye

  • Thanks Allah I worship you only as your whole creation worship you day and night in the heaven and in the Earth. I love u Allah so much and your beloved Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and His beloved companions and all the pious Muslim people since 1400 years and till the day of judgement.

Yousaf Islam Allah bless you so much and your family.

    i LOVE U FOR ALLAH

  • @talwad I like his music. But he look like a dirty,filthy Muslim it's a shame......

  • @Celestialcable

Its not about what religion you have. Religion dont save. Its about what you believe in !!

Its about the LOVE that JESUS came to earth to show us ! Follow his example of a living sacrifice and LOVE to save ALL of us !

Believe in him as your SAVIOR who DIED for you !

And that is all you need !

  • @snoogygaming Why he died for us?

  • There is only one God which is Allah the Almighty and Yusuf Islam is the one among the billions who could see it.Masha-Allah

  • @deweyta Wrong. Everyone has its own religion and all are good.

  • Good grief! I wonder why this awsome talent was thrown out of te USA, I read it in a news paper. I don't really care. With Y-tube, You can still enjoy his great songs where ever he is. Just too bad he wasn't a good American...odviousely.

  • I have being a Christian all my Life, and I am seriously considering about making the conversion with my Faith in Love to Allah.

  • @celestialcable You say you are a Christian but in the same sentence you want to convert to a religion that does not accept Jesus as the Son of God? So that tells me that you truely are not a Christian. I really hope that you think about it first. Jesus is truely the only way to the Father God and Heaven. Be blessed

  • @heavenlyluv33 Jesus is just ONE of the MANY HoLY PATHS to God. You can call God Allah, Jehova, Ram, Krishna, Waheguru, Mother Goddess it does not matter what you call THAT BEING, what matters if you can see God in ALL BEINGS. Only then you realize God. Amen!

  • @G716M Im sorry, I disagree. The Holy Bible tells us a different than what you are saying. I use The Bible for proof of my words. What do you use as proof? What you are saying is what the NWO, NEW Age Religions, want us to believe. God bless

  • @heavenlyluv33 man .. Jesus(peace be upon him) is not the son of Allah he is a prophet who is chosen by Allah to deliver the message that there is no god but Allah ..Jesus peace be upon him is a messenger of Allah they are the most beautiful most pure most faithful human beings ever .. believe me when i say this --but-- we Muslims love Jesus more than you do .. all Muslims 100% of them love Jesus more than you.. please read about Islam in good sites not the ones which give it the wrong image. <3

  • @xiomora11 How can I or you say who loves Jesus more? Its not possible to say that since you dont know my heart and I dont know yours. But if what you are saying is true, that Jesus is not the son of God, then you are saying Jesus lied and that makes Him a liar and not so honorable at all. A lying prophet? A lying messenger? I am afraid that it cant be . Hes either truthful saying Hes the son of God or hes a lying man and not a prophet at all. God bless you

    Bonjour,

J'aimerais bien vous connaitre! car j'aimerais bien connaitre des choses que vous connaissez peut être.

    Merci.

  • @celestialcable May Alla bless u

  • @celestialcable You may go the way of man or follow the way to Christ.

  • @cubsin4

Thats right. Christ is the way.

  • I just wonder why in the world I never heard this song on the radio.

Instead they`re brainwashing people with cheap pop garbage that means nothing and only makes your life feel empty.

  • @Charlytrippo When I was a teenager, before Yusuf converted, I listened to "pop garbage" by this guy named cat stevens who wrote and sang music that satisfied my soul. My soul was undeveloped and in "Cats" music i felt a kindred soul longing for a God he understood. Therefore, when he converted and years later 9/11 happened I was not prone to hate Islam or Muslims. Instead, I studied Islam and history to try and understand God and the world. Cat Stevens made me more open minded.

  • @Charlytrippo you've just answered your own question :)

  • Comment removed

  • @Charlytrippo

    @Charlytrippo

Because he is preaching an Islamic belief in this song, that's why....

What he says basically is that man kind will be held accountable on the day of judgement before God for how he spent his life.

according to the bible (but not the church), a christian belief also... !

  • @Charlytrippo

Because they do not want you to be admired in Muslim people so then you will admire Islam, and then revert to Islam.. That's why they keep the beauty of Islam and Muslims hidden behind terrorism lie ..

  • @Charlytrippo They hardly ever play good music on the radio just like the shitty news they feed us.

  • @Charlytrippo me 2

  • tears in my eyes. Magical moment.

  • I was hoping for a Linkin Park cover. :)

  • peaceful song for peaceful people by a peaceful man

  • I thought using stringed instruments was a sin.

  • @TheBetrayerZ what about a harp?

  • @GozaiFTW Harp is a stringed instrument. But there are many different explanations to making music. Some people say music with drums are the only halal music. Some people say it depends on the lyrics. Personally Im not sure. Hencei dont listen to music

  • This is disgusting. Never would I have expected the expression "don't bother with the truth" to meet with such a warm applause. In the end, you may end up knowing everything or may just cease to exist, but one thing is for sure - right now you could benefit from knowing the truth, as long as it's not on some arbitrary, imaginary subject that has no power to effect you while you're still alive.

  • @eggory Have a look at the LYRICS. The word is "BARTER" (as in trying to make a deal and get away with the lies and misdeeds of your life. He is saying, "You can't barter with the truth"-- because in the end, the truth will come out regardless of your efforts to conceal it.

(Sometimes I wonder if viewers are intentionally looking on You Tube for musicians that they have already decided to dislike before even checking them out! )

  • @wingseclipsed You're right it's barter not bother. I didn't have any impression of him before I encountered the video though. I had never heard of him, it was just related to some other video I was watching and caught my eye somehow. Many parts of the song are still silly but it doesn't say what I thought it did.

  • @eggory i enjoyed his singing in the 60's, But, it is a shame is encouraging violence in the name of Allah.

  • One of the finest of his...

Please, google Yusuf Islam - In The End lyrics

    peacex

  • @Webbbear3 Everything has a purpose and source in life. Footsteps are a sign that someone was there. Eyes have the purpose of vision. Yet your existance as a whole, you think has no source? Look at the world around you. This wasn't one big coincidence. Prove your own existance, God's existance is proven.

  • Rewriting to Tokinotseru1:

    You wrote-

    >There's no god who created the universe.

    ---

A: The universe is finite. Each component of it is finite. Everything finite has a beginning and an end. What existed, when nothing did?

    ---

    >Otherwise you need to ask who created god, etc.

A: Meaning: who was before God. The word ‘before’ connotes ‘time’. The word 'before' connotes time. God is the timeless Eternity, the Creator of events and time.

‘Time’ applies to finite objects only. He isn't bound by it.

  • every people has the right to say about anything..just be respectful..ok? so u will be respected by others too..

  • So why doesn't everyone in the world just chill out and live in harmony? I beg everyone out there! Try to "sin" as little as possible and just be good. It's not that to live happily. This is his best song in my opinion.
