in my book, the definitive version of ze newie/between love and hate is the pepsi music hall 2002 performance from vienna. listen to it, and note how "he's lyin' I say" adds to the song. all the final album version elements are there, but it's just a flawless arrangement.

I first heard Ze Newie from when they played it at the Radio City Music Hall concert with The White Stripes, and I always though the "He's lyin' I say" part sounded amazing. If anyone still has that video or knows where I could find it, I'd really love to see it again.
