  • The bass is better on here than on the actual CD lol

  • wow. one of my top ten songs of all time. i've missed you

  • -1.2/10

  • Right...Smashin Pumpkins where learning how to tune the guitars when My Bloody Valentine where releasing albums...is a rip off but the other way, sorry to wake you up from your dream.

  • no talent... seriously? anyone can beat on guitars and call it "music". Geneic vocals to top it off. They are just a bunch of Smashing Pumpkins rip offs, but at least smashing pumpkins know how to tune their guitars. 2.4/10.

  • @Zolted1005 LOLm, you hear that guys? A Smashing Pumpkins Ripoff. Someone's really shallow in their history (pun intended).

  • @Zolted1005 Billy Corgan would disagree with you.

  • @Zolted1005 You're a pretty abysmal troll -- the moment I saw you call Fall Out Boy "real punk", I knew this was a lackluster troll account. -2/10

  • @Naroon201 Like you know anything about real punk! You probably sit home alone in your basement listening to bands such as Dinosaur Jr. , Bad Brains, Sonic Youth and Nirvana and think you;re all "punk". Simple Plan an Nickelback are what punk is all about. -7.6/10

  • @Zolted1005 The difference between good trolls and bad trolls is that good trolls are actually funny. You? You're just retarded, lol.

  • Sounds like an awesome baby of Metric and Silversun Pickups... except My Bloody Valentine came first!

  • waka flocka is garbage

  • I like Waka Flocka and My Bloody Valentine. Maybe he belongs in the suggestions, and you guys just need to be more accepting of his music.

  • @ShreddyGnarGnar Couldn't agree more! I love all kinds of music.

  • @royalnaz1 Colm Ó Cíosóig... the drummer dumbass

  • I remember the first time i saw MBV was this video on an episode of 120 minutes. Just happened to have recorded it on my VCR. Changed my life forever.

  • at 1:19, when they show the vague close-ups of Bilinda singing, my heart stops every time....I swear I've never seen anything more serene or beautiful in my life as her singing this song to me.....

  • @fooberdoobs then you must not have heard to Blown a Wish

  • @trsonic87 I posted a cover of "Blown a Wish"....

  • sounds as good as salem66.

  • this advertisement sucks and the song that goes along with the ad sucks really bad...i shouldnt have to sit through it to listen to MBV's masterpeice

  • Waiting for the comeback...:-)

Also, Zolted is trolling you folks hard, just sayin'.

  • @JetWarrior haha yeah really, I obviously love My Bloody Valentine and hate Nickelback.

  • Can you imagine if Belinda Butcher had got together with Rachel Goswell (Slowdive) and the two ladies (Miki Berenyi and Emma Anderson) from Lush. Now that would have been one formidable group--all mini skirts, black sweaters, and french cigarettes.

  • What the fuck? This isn't Bullet For My Valentine, this band sucks. I'd hate to be Bullet For My Valentine and have a shitty band like this rip off my name.

  • @Zolted1005 wikipedia says, Bullet for my Valentine "1998–present". "My Bloody Valentine are an alternative rock band formed 1983 in Dublin, Ireland." This album was released in 1991. Sorry bud!

  • @mattsargentmusic They are still a shitty band

  • @Zolted1005 I got news for you Bullet for my Valentine are a shitty band.

  • @friedelt Bullet for My Valentine are REAL musicains, My Bloody Valentine are just a bunch of no talents who just beat on their guitars and call it music.

  • @Zolted1005 They're a pop metal band and that sound has been done before. They're 12 years late to the game. MBV pioneered a sound, "bullet" hasn't done anything new. Its just regurgitated from other pop metal.

  • @friedelt The only thing MBV has pioneered is shit!

  • @Zolted1005 Oh sure, shit that was imitated on almost every Alternative Rock and Grunge record during the early to mid 90s and even on most Alt-rock bands to this day. It's ok to be a Bullet for My Valentine fan, or even an Nickelback fan, it just don't make you any smarter.

  • @Slyder1982 Just because a bunch of shitty bands from the 90s tried to copy My Bloody Valentine's style, doesn't mean they are good. It just means a bunch of idiot bands decided to copy their shitty style. Bullet For My Valentine are one of the most infulential bands of our age and have a lot more talent then My Bloody Valentine. Don't say anything bad about Nickelback either, they are one of the most looked up to rock bands on modern radio stations.

  • @Zolted1005 If you don't like it then don't fucking watch. For pete sakes get the fuck over yourself and I don't care how many times the radio plays Nickleback they still suck.

  • @Zolted1005 If anything the fact that Nickleback gets played so much only shows how down hill radio has gone.

  • @Amir3793 No, it just shows that radio stations know best in what is real music, unilke you who thinks beating your guitar and sing like you were singing a lullaby to your kid is cool. It's not, Nickelback are the Nirvana or our time.

  • Wow you will never get it will you? I guess thats what I get from expecting an intelligent arguement from a closed-minded moron who thinks anyone he disagrees with is an idiot.

  • @Zolted1005 Overall just get over yourself.

  • @Zolted1005 Oh right. Radiohead, The Cure, Phish, Smashing Pumpkins, Lush, Slowdive, these bands suck? I pity your lack of intelligence.

  • @Slyder1982 You idiot! Do you at all know what REAL music is? Bullet for my Valentine, Nickelback, Slayer, Toby Keith, Eminem are REAL artisit! Anyone who says different is a complete idiot

  • @Zolted1005 You and everyone with your ears that like shit music are the reason MTV sucks now, why the radio only plays watered-down generic crap, cause dipshits like you can only appreciate what is presented to you in a cheap/sexist/shallow fashion. Fucking Dingus.

  • @aMomentofBeauty The only reason MTV stopped playing that shit was because it got terrible rating, and why? because it sucked. End of story. MTV is better than ever now.

  • @Zolted1005 You really believe MTV is now better than ever!?!?! Now that you just said that, I can assume you're a lost cause and have a very closed mind. Saying that MTV is better now means you like all those mindless reality TV shows, and Nickleback?? Really?? I sure hope you're trolling cause if not, WTF is your problem pall?

  • @Zolted1005 MTV stands for music television. MTV plays close to no music. MTV is nothing but shit now.

  • @idis0abad I can vouch for the accuracy of your statement. I'm black and I detest waka flacka. I lean towards indie, shoegaze, punk and jazz music.

  • This song is a classic -- and still relevant twenty years later.

  • @idis0abad How'd you find this? Most white people don't even know Shoegaze.

  • @FuckingStanz - So another colour knows shoegaze more than whites? That doesn't make much sense. I can't even think of a non-white shoegaze band, or a shoegaze band that had an audience less than 3/4 white.

  • "...like whales having sex on acid"

-some guy at a record store when i was buying this album

  • @skrapyard444 I get where he's coming from, and I sort of want to agree, but having sex on acid is actually sort of weird and gross, and most people I know (including myself) tend to avoid it. This album is certainly not something I tend to avoid. :)

"Sex on weed," I'd wholeheartedly accept. I'm gonna go with that.

  • @skrapyard444 Oh, you know... I posted that and realized I missed the "whales" part.

Yeah, whales fucking on acid. I can ABSOLUTELY see that. Carry on.

Also, don't try having sex on acid.

  • Hearing this song live a couple of years ago and quite literally PHYSICALLY feeling the sound waves hit my body was one of the biggest thrills of my life. I've been to tons of shows, but MBV was easily the loudest.

  • Bilinda Butcher is more important to the band than people give her credit for. She's the voice in a lot of the songs, and also plays guitar on most tracks. The idea most people have of the band is that Kevin is the big cheese. He kind of is, but he's not as omnipresent on the recordings as people think.

  • who gives a fuck who the drummer resembles. look at the girl. she is sexy with a lovely voice.

  • big deal if waka flocka and ti are up there on the side of the page. they are part of the march madness. black people will listen to almost anything.

  • i can listen to this song 3 times in a row. if a song can make me listen to it over and over then it is really good.

  • im not a big fan of the whole loveless album. imo it could have been better but this particular song is hands down one of the top 5 rock songs of the 90's no argument.

  • 1:07 bahaha

  • The "Loveless" album is as mysterious and cool now as it was 20 years ago when it was released. Musically and vocally, they sounded like a band from another planet. A lot of 'Shoegaze' bands came close to achieving this kind of aural lushness, by Kevin Shields & company did it best. My question to the band: Where ya been??

  • where lil wayne at? white people music, yo!\

  • Jag looks nice

  • The crunch of Dinosaur Jr, the dissonance of Sonic Youth, the icy calmness of the Cocteau Twins. Like a glistening pearl in a raging sea.

  • @alpineinc1 yeah, all those bands, weren't they the influenced? and mbv the infuential?

  • never heard this song before or anything by my bloody valentine, but wow have I missed out

  • From Loveless, one of my all-time favorite records. If you haven't heard it, give it a spin, it will change your life.

  • 2008?! this is from 1990 or 1991 and it STILL blows away much of what passes for music today!

  • i have like that same p bass- but mine has a rosewood fretboard

  • This video needs a epilepsy warning very badly.

  • dis shit goes hard in the paint

  • it makes me extremely sad to see the playlist with TI & Waka Flocka videos next to this amazing mbv video........

  • Is it just me or does the drummer eat at Subway, a lot?

  • thurston moore on drums?

  • I don't mind the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's "Nevermind", but it's pretty clear there should have been a 20th anniversary of "Loveless", as the latter has clearly been more influential.

  • @mackrotube

Album was originally released in Nov., there's still hope!

  • why do i love watching the drummer?

  • is it me or does the drummer resemble "kelley" from the bad news bears?

  • Get out of the suggestions Waka Flocka!

  • I wish this didn't have ads

  • Good band. :)

  • Is it just me, or does the drummer need a haircut?

  • fuck genres good music is good music. It comes in all forms and scumbags are all scumbags they come in all forms too.

  • Comment removed

  • Is it just me, or does the drummer kind of resemble Colm Ó Cíosóig?

  • It upsets me that this song doesn't give me the same feeling that others are getting from it. I still give this song a shot every now and then to keep trying...

  • @wsoxrule923222

I used to hear it on the radio when I lived in Seattle, I still hear it today when I go to visit by train.

I like the music from my childhood because it's always the most magical, you know? That and music that sounds like it. Basically living in a car your whole life.. music is all you feel.

So it could be a plethora of reasons you don't feel the same listening to it. Everyone's gotta find their music. one word: experiment.

  • A monster rock riff for the ages. Hats off once again to Mr. Shields.

  • This album will never be duplicated, even If a copycat band tries (like how Interpol's "turn on the bright lights"(2002), which is seen as NEW classic nowdays to this generation, tried to tackle the ALL TIME greatest darkest post-punk album which is Joy Division's "Closer" (1980)& yet didn't come EVEN CLOSE! but copied It up & down in style/sound lol.91 was year of bliss for music!. Loveless IS the best album of90's but for nostalgia alone kobain's first 4 singles off Nevermind come FIRST *bows*

  • Only the best fucking song ever made.

  • best rock song of the 90's.

thats right its better than teen spirit

  • @royalnaz1 Damn close...

  • @royalnaz1 Generationally= nevermind's earth shattering 4 singles (cuz the album truly was never THAT strong but those songs ARE!) "come as you are""lithium""In bloom""smells like teen spirit",stroke a match not seen since hendrix held a guitar or the beatles arrived. Sonically= Loveless=all time 90's best 1 of a kind sensual sexuality rock ahead of It's time. Groundbreaking as a concept album and the peak of albums as a full concept to songs as well as lyrics= Radiohead's Ok Computer. 2011= Sad

  • This song is so awesome, it makes me feel like i'm going to explode from happiness created by sound and rhythym!

  • i used to take drugs and stuff. this music doesn't remind of those times. This music reminds me purely of those times when you feel like your about to explode from pure happiness, as if you are on to something, something that truly makes you happy because it's pure

  • Nephalem Intercourse

  • the name of this band could have easily been "acid hippie children". oh shit IM having flashbacks to way back when Mtv still played real music by real musicians on real music videos. wow. that was a LOOOOOONG time ago.

  • @Madkre8tor Those days will probably never come back though. Because of the Internet, people have music at their fingertips. And they choose the music they want to hear; and they don't have to wait for commercial breaks.

  • @BlastFromYesterday I wonder why 120 minutes still plays, just all the videos. and then there are rock videos and pop videos and rap videos on some music channels. I think the program change is purposely designed to dumb down/corrupt the young public. rock vids were not doing it fast enough. now they watch teens like themselves acting like total fools and they sell it as a glamorous lifestyle. pathetic.

  • @Madkre8tor ur exactly right on the right path to the TRUTH my friend (whatever that is definently dont believe that evrything is as It seems & dig for yourself, even with MUSIC, It's obvious the downfall was VERY sharp over a 10 year period barely, a total lack of care now!, as well as bad economy & evryone still texts on facebook, and watches reality tv and lives lives through others like nothing is wrong, teens care about a ringtone not a song wtf is going on here=gradual social conditioning!

  • Better than drugs..

  • Now lets gaze at our shoes!

  • my favorite MBV song

  • amazing

  • ALL HAIL ALAN MCGEE!!!!

  • GAHH I just wanna punch something with a fistfull of awesome... I wanna make get a 4 foot speaker (playing this) and throw it at someone I don't know on the street. I wanna break into a stranger's house and replace their home phone ring tone with this... I wanna fall down a bottomless pit with this playing while neon lights are shoved into my eye sockets.

  • @Brando2600 Amen.

  • The sonic equivalent of a nuclear bomb going off.

  • i too want to die with this song playing

  • This band, this album, this song: the definition of shoegazer.

  • The lead guitarist of this band (Kevin Shields, I think his name is) did a song for one of my favorite movies of all time, the Scarlett Johansson Vehicle "Lost In Translation".

  • @TheAntihero6212 "City Girl" is the name of the song I believe...

  • I want to die to this song playing.

  • The world's greatest band!

  • Is it just me, or does the drummer kind of resemble Thurston Moore?

  • @lurch321

    That's very rude.

  • @lurch321 he does a little

  • wait i just heard it again and she does say sleep like a pillow.. and i will sleep like a pillow!

  • but i noe she not sayin that thou

  • when she frist starts singing it sounds like she is sayin sleep like a pillow hahaha weird stuff...

  • Dinosaur (Jr.) is a definite influence, esp. on Shields. Sonic Youth as well. MBV :)

  • I can do without the commercials.

  • @scidriver i can do without u in my life

  • @ZombieBunny501 Oh I'm sorry did i offend you?

  • @scidriver oh no ur ok. i was just trying to be a smart ass, im sorry.

  • @ZombieBunny501 Oh hee hee! My bad!

  • man i love this band so much, great stuff

  • stupid "shoegazing" comments need to be voted down and fucked in the ass

  • @ihatemyjobman No doubt that this music is shoegaze, everybody understands that. You are right, we don't need whiny emo bitches making bad jokes about it.

  • such a good song. kinda disappointed they cut off like the last 40 seconds though, cos it's still pretty beautiful

  • My shoes...they are so...fascinating...........woah

  • always loved this song, as well as all of "Loveless".

I just wish this video was a bit more distorted & fuzzy/static-y.

  • What it sounds like when angels have sex.

  • @nirado66 that's some interesting orgasms, if you're talking about the intro!

  • @nirado66 Wow... Read that wrong... I got something about angels having anal sex.

  • Man her voice is so dream-like...it almost puts me to sleep (in a good way) until the guitars come in!

  • guitar sound on this is utterly insane. kevin shields = genius

  • Somehow, this song is sexy & catchy.

  • I find I have great trouble walking if I don't have this song playing, and looking at my feet.

  • This song is MAJESTIC

  • 9 people have no souls

  • My Bloody Valentine had to happen for Grunge to happen and for Musicians like Billy Corgan, Trent Reznor and Thom Yorke of Radiohead to take their music to the next level. Kevin Shields (MBV Guitar/singer) was the architect of taking what individuals before him had done and mashing it all together. The Man is a genius and in the top 100 list of all time great guitarists. When you consider most people only know their CD "Loveless" what they did was phenomenal.

  • @Justins1manband I was just listening to Cocteau Twins and it struck me that MBV must've been greatly influenced by them. I don't really see grunge as coming straight from this though. The grunge bands were just derivative bands that ripped from Sabbath and the Stooges.

  • @KingCrimson776

I think they were also influenced by Sonic Youth a bit. Some of the guitar work on Loveless songs similar to Daydream Nation. Both bands use Fender Jazzmasters. Also, some of the feedback on Loveless sounds a lot like feedback on Sonic Youth's album Bad Moon Rising.

  • Indescribable feeling hearing this song but the video fuckin sucks

they shoulda just filmed a guy acid tripping or something

  • I hate this song. No offense to people who love it though and this was my first time listening to them. I'm more of a Miley Cyrus fan.

  • @cubzy13franzy 0/1000 try harder

  • @cubzy13franzy You're hilarious

  • @cubzy13franzy Horrible...just horrible

  • @cubzy13franzy you should shove french fries up your ass, while you choke on your grandma's cock. you got more cracks in your brain than yo mama's ass.

    PWNED BITCH!

  • @ri394 that isn't very nice. Jesus is very upset with that and I know it because he doesn't like people saying stuff like that. I'll pray for you. ~God Bless

  • @cubzy13franzy are you trollin?

  • No offense to people who love this song and stuff but I hate this song. And yes this was my first time listening to one of their songs but I just don't like them.

  • @cubzy13franzy Nobody cares.

  • 9 people are not shallow

  • when her mouth opens it's just pure bliss

  • My GOD that woman is gorgeous ! Can you say still that you don't believe that Elves exist and walk among us ? This is what God listens to when it"s down...

  • MSHC HOT BOYZ TIL I die

  • One of my favs...and I don't care what they are saying...better than coffee in the morning;)

  • Nothing against My Bloody Valentine at all, but I'd like them a hell of a lot better if you could understand the vocals.

  • @righteousrat I understand the vocals.

  • Wake up, life is a REAL nightmare, he.he.he.

  • Women own us
