yes the video is roughly 2x speed, i needed a short click for another presentation i was giving. I'll try to get more video with higher res models, but it is much much faster than previously in the 2010 version.
Yeah.. now this is something cool. It's a huge time saver. If we have a strong painting tool, we won't need to live max for texturing. I can see some really like features like paste from clipboard and mirroring. I really like that it is dockable and how you arrange Max's UI. It seams confortable. The only thing that I would like to see in this tool, is projection painting. Anyway thanks for the nice video. :D
I don't understand all this crying about the ribbon-You don't like it-just turn it off.You can put all ribbon functions to hot keys or create custom quad menu or your own toolbox...New paint looks great:)
the video has been sped up. with high poly mesh it wouldnt be this way.

The model is very lowres, I´d like to see the performance after Subd or meshsmooth.

well because it doesn't make sense, you have the ocntrol panel, why don't they use that instead? The ribbon is similar to maya's bloating of the UI
