  • lol i wrote tht before finishing the video i feel stupid

  • @nickrepa95 Don't feel stupid. It's actually a very important question and one that comes up very often. But my room heater keeps 'em all happy, it's always 80 something degrees in there, and just a bit lower at night.

  • im gettin one tomorrow do u need the heat lamp or can it just live at room temp???

  • I was looking at the reflection the whole time....mmmm...yummei XD

  • @GirtopolisArashiki Geez Louise!! I'm gonna have to blur it out, lol.

  • Woooooow.... My japanese girl friend calls you a pussy... She loves her rose hair... Told you to look in the mirror some more for your balls ;)

  • @efixeated Lmao, that's very interesting to know. Maybe she can help me find them.

  • @AlexRC113 why it take all day and still be able to find them... only your vergina...

  • @efixeated But just out of curiosity, why does she call me that? Does she have an obsession with cats? Because I got this really cool costume and it's really realistic. But I do a horrible meow.

  • @AlexRC113 no.. cause you have a vergina... instead of a dick... and i like your meow

  • @efixeated Touche!

  • @efixeated Watch the updated setup vid I recently did for him. Here's the link extension...

    /watch?v=eyNZ4UoyaMM

  • You knew well the reflection was srtong haha

  • @TheAppleShampoo182 Lol, I actually hadn't realized it until my friends brought it up to me.

  • Gloves! WTF!! Pussy hole!

  • @TESTdonutTEST Lol, grow up dude. If you wanna be the one to teach the world that they may never get bitten or haired, then be my guest.

  • so would you perfer a glass tank or one of the plastic ventilated ones

  • @Monstersification I find the standard glass cages to be more attractive, but that's just my opinion. I use the small plastic ones for my smaller T's because they don't need so much space and it makes it a lot easier to deal with them. It's really all about personal preference. What ever suits you best is what I'd say to go for. All that's NEEDED is proper ventilation, humidity, substrate, hiding, and maintenance. Oh and feeding of course. The terrarium itself is all up to you dude.

  • @Monstersification Forgot to mention temperature in that last response. I don't use heat lamps at all anymore, only lasted about 7 days until I got a room temperature control device (small electronic room heater, lol). I keep the room at about 80-85 during the day and 70-75 at night. Works great!

  • good video merci.

  • @agrid66 Thanks!

  • @Cwisiee Lamp's been gone since day 7. He rarely ever climbs up but I was still worried a bit. Also I control the temps of the entire room so no need for any other heat sources.

  • really love the skull cave!!

  • Good song !

  • @MrHDMIHDMI yes it is

  • @teamcautiondavao Good old random playlists, lol.

  • good call on the gloves, it's a good idea for when your handling new T's. I know with my rose hair she was VERY agitated when I first got her (all the stress of a new place and such) So I just moved her into her new home and didn't bother her for the first 1-2 weeks. After that she clamed down and is just the bigest sweetheart. <3<3

  • @Shamelesslilly Yea, my Thorn (featured T in vid) is pretty cool too (sometimes, lol). I actually just got finished transferring him to a new home I customized just for him a few hours ago, vid will be up by tomorrow.

  • whats up with the gloves hahahah

  • @spoty420 I just committed a murder, lol. J/k, I mention my reasons in the description.

  • i use aspen bedding for my tarantula, everybody has different opinions. but he seems to love it. i just recently starting handling him, i was always kinda nervous because i stuck my hand in there once to get something and he went on his back legs, but i think it was a one time deal. because now he seems to enjoy the attention. hes quite the charmer.

  • very good video! thanks for posting it for us!

  • @soccerman641 Thank you, and you're welcome!

  • damn it's been a while since i heard lenny kravitz lol, nice vid.

  • @CaptainAssburgers Yea, it just happened to be the next track on my random playlist, lol. Thanks btw!

  • I know Rose Hair's have a brilliant temperament and are not really likely to bite but what was with the blade proof gloves? Slight Exaggeration?

  • @MarkMck1994 That was the only time I've ever handled one of my T's with gloves, and it was for the video safety purposes. Any T owner should be able to assume and know that the gloves aren't really necessary.

  • What's the best kind of tarantula for a beginner? Also, is it necessary to wear gloves when holding them/transferring them to a different tank, or is that just something some people prefer?

  • @5FDPfan23 I'd recommend either this one (Grammostola Rosea), Brachypelma Smithi, or Avicularia Avicularia/Versicolor as great beginners due to the general temperament, care, and availability. About the gloves, It was a matter of precautions along with the fact that young children could be watching the vid and I felt more comfortable teaching safety. All others know that gloves may not be necessary, but like I said, you never know who's watching.

  • what is a reputable website of which I can purchase a baby tarantula...im a starter and have wanted one for a long time. Thanks for the help

  • do you think it is alright to use dirt or stuff like that from outside? im afraid i might get something that could be harmful to my tarantula.

  • @happylizard08 It definitely is a risk whenever your using natural sources such as substrate or food. You never know what kind of parasites, or unnatural chemicals might come along with it.

  • nice set up! nice idea with the tissue and misting it down. i use this bowl thats ment for lizards but i have used it for about 6 or 7 years and it is a small bowl with a bottle on it and it refills itself when the bowl get alittle too low

  • @End0987612 To be honest, the cotton pad (tissue) misting was actually a bad idea. At the time I was setting up my very 1st enclosure for my very first T, and after all the research I'd done I thought it would be ok to help prevent drowning. Boy was I WRONG! I learned that although it's great for preventing drowning, it's more dangerous to your T in the sense that it creates a perfect breeding ground for bacteria, and that's no good.

  • @AlexRC113 yea of corse i assumed you would change it like every week or somethin like that and that bowl is probably too shallow for it to drown

  • @End0987612 Yea it definitely is too shallow, and if he did drown in it then I'd have no words, lol. But like I said I was fresh and even though I was changing the cotton pads every 2 days for the one week that I used them, breeders and highly experienced keepers were suggesting that I just don't use them at all.

  • @AlexRC113 hmm yea well i use commercial malch for my rose hair and it has been living in it for 8 years and people have been telling me not to so i guess im kinda 50 50 with it and might change it but it has been 8 years and it has been fine and healthy

  • cool tank im geting a rose hair or a salmon pink bird eater

  • @repttiledude21 Sweet, great T's. I was looking to get an LP (Salmon Pink Birdeater) at the recent expo, but the only ones available were about 1/4 inch, and I was looking for bigger.

  • i had my tarantula in a large tank with over 14 inches of soil ,rocks, coconut fiber and bark. my house burned down and i went in the next day and dug my tarantula out. she was alive and i still have her sitting next to me right now. i have her in a ten gallon tank right now with everything from pearls to real gems in her tank. she buried them all. i also have marbles in the tank which she unburies and piles in the corner. .

  • @xixaxland Wow, sorry to hear about your house, that really sucks. Glad to hear your T survived and is well. That's really cool how she redecorates, wether it's burying or just moving objects around, especially since you've got some nice fancy ornaments in there for her. I'd love to see how it looks.

  • Comment removed

  • i use coconut bark for my rose hair, but i dont know if i should rather use coconut fiber like you do

  • @mikeanaro20 I've never used coconut bark, only fibers, but from my research and own experiences I can tell you that you can't go wrong with it.

  • id use a spngoe from a pet store or a rock so ur spider wont drown.

  • @ThisKidVids

I would never use a sponge...it's a breeding ground for bacteria breeding and the spider can get easily sick. If its 3.5''+ there's a very rare chance it will drown. People sometimes use rocks so that the crickets don't drown

  • where'd you get that shelter thing with the skulls on it?? lol

  • @metalmikewhite I got it from the local Petco, but also saw other varieties of it at the expos.

  • My room is gets cool sometimes what would be better an infered bulb or a heat mat???

  • @NERV775 The1337gamerguy1 makes a great point, but I find that during the cold season, an electric room heater works best, better than any bulb or heat mat. If you do use a bulb make sure it's not too strong, and also that it's a nocturnal bulb, as they hate bright lights.

  • Hi im a little concerned for my rose i have a tank this size and i filled it with about 3-4 inches of substrate but she is always climbing like right to the top im scared she will fall and damage herself. How much of a fall can they take without being badly injured?

  • @DarkAngel45276 The substrate is too wet or damp, that is why it is climbing on the glass they hate wet or damp substrate.

  • @DarkAngel45276 Hey, sorry I'm so late but I've been off for a while due to technical issues, but I'm gonna have to agree with JakeBolt90 on this one. Also, even the slightest falls can injure your T sometimes, so it's best to keep the substrate comfy enough that your T doesn't feel the need to climb so much.

  • so would the tarantula just walk in the water and drink without the cotton?

  • @zookeeper2345 A water dish should only be offered if the T is bigger than at least 2". They don't go so often to drink from it, but when they do they know how to access it, usually by leaning forward with only their mouths in the water.

  • @zookeeper2345 As long as the dish is short/shallow, it should be easy for them to drink without any problems.

  • Wat gallon tank do u use? thanks

  • Wat gallon tank do u use? thanks

  • @0303halo 10 gallon aquarium style cage. I wouldn't recommend using a cage this big unless your T is the size of mine or bigger. (4 inch +)

  • @AlexRC113 if she hates the gloves why use themÉ, wont they hurt her fangs if she bit downÉ

  • @axelroach To be honest, I don't even know why I ever used them, lol. They just made me feel more comfortable during those times when he (now confirmed) threatened me, even though I'd get bitten right through them as they're soft gloves that would easily get pierced without trouble.

  • @AlexRC113 ohhh hehe yeah, i mean it would make me feel more protected too so i dont blame you at all :P

  • you don't need a gloves , G rosea are Docile and Calm .

  • @sunlun123 I have one of those moody Rosies, so sometimes I use gloves, and sometimes I don't. I always check the temperament by using a soft bristled 12 inch paintbrush, and if she seems cool then I won't use gloves, but if she attacks the brush then I'll usually just leave her alone, unless I really need to handle her as in this case.

  • why the gloves?

    is she a biter? lol

p.s. whats the name of the second song?

sounds like Rise Against but im not sure haha

    nice video man :)

  • @BooshgaFilms This is one moody specimen, one min it's all cool, and the next it's watchout!! lol. And yea the song is by Rise Against, it's called Injection I believe.
